I raised my German Shepherd/Husky mix Misti from a puppy, handling potty training and basic commands. I also care for my senior cat, Sam, who is 12 years old! I love walks, hikes, play, nature, and enrichment. I even trained my cat to high five! Your pet will be in experienced, loving hands. I'm currently available full-time with a very flexible schedule! They get along great with other dogs or cats! If you would like me to keep your furry baby separate I can also provide that. My house is larger and I can keep animals separated inside the home or outside what your preference is. I am a very caring and generous person that is very loving and compassionate. I love to go above and beyond for animals especially making them feel warm and happy. About: I’ve had experience working at a dog daycare which came with lots of responsibilities including dog watching, bathing, cleaning, and feeding- including administering medications. I currently work at an animal shelter where I handle dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, weight, and breeds. Using balanced training methods, I can also offer light training (puppy teething/mouthing, basic cues, some leash manners, resource guarding, engage/disengage with reactive pups, social bridging with shy ones). I’ve also worked with deaf, blind, and tripod doggos! I currently work a full time job 4 days a week with Sunday/ Monday/ Tuesdays off. Not available the rest of the week since I work long hours. Full honesty and transparency is the way to go! Direct communication is best to achieving the best service without any miscommunications. I've been a proud and responsible dog + cat owner for over 25 years (plus snakes!), with over 15 years experience care-taking pet fish, birds, rats, hamsters, snakes, leopard geckos, frogs, turtles, and more! I'm also a wildlife biologist and small business owner of a human-bear conflict prevention start-up (see "Wild Neighbor"), as well as a previous zookeeper and animal trainer! I have 20 years of experience working with all sizes of California native wildlife and exotic mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and arachnids in zoos, nature centers, and museums. I hold a B.S. in Wildlife Management from Humboldt State University and am a graduate of the Exotic Animal Training and Management (EATM) Program at Moorpark College. I'm an avid hiker, explorer, and naturalist, and I LOVE spending time with all kinds of animals both outdoors and indoors! I am a small business owner and work from home - while sometimes I am needed in the field, I'm grateful that my schedule is super flexible and allows me to operate my startup while also spending time with pets! I always approach my pets with love and consideration not only for their mental health, but for their physical health, as well! Treats are a must, as is access to viewing windows (to keep an eye on the outside world when I'm away), cozy spots for sleeping, fans when the weather gets warm and soooo many blankets and beds when it's chilly. Water and food bowls are cleaned daily, and walks (for the dog, at least!) are kept to a consistent morning, afternoon, and evening schedule.

About: I am Native American and currently own a French Bulldog he is now 3 years old. Before that I owned an American Pitbull with my ex girlfriend before this dog. My family and I owned a couple of dogs. Just before I owned the Pitbull. Pets are life. Right now I have open availability. Monday through Friday anytime. I can and will work weekends. I am new to this however I have been around pets my whole. I grew on a farm in Texas. I don't care for pets I my own home. I live in a apartment. I'm not allowed to have other pets here unfortunately, they are strict.
