Ashley was AMAZING with our cat Gigi. She was always on time, energetic and playful, and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable being away from her. I got so many adorable pictures and videos of my cat having a blast. She helped us and our little girl feel so comfortable being apart. Definitely book her!!

About: I’ve been caring for animals my entire life. Growing up on a ranch, I helped raise and care for all kinds of animals including rabbits, cats, and dogs, learning hands-on responsibility and compassion from a young age. I bring decades of experience and have a special love for senior pets. Since 2011, I’ve rescued and cared for older dogs, giving them comfort, attention, and love in their final years. Two of my own cats lived to be 20, so I understand the dedication needed for long-term care. Whether it’s a playful puppy, a shy rescue, or a senior pet, I treat every animal like family. Friends and neighbors have trusted me for years to nurture, love, and care for their pets and I’d be honored to do the same for yours. I work part-time remotely, which gives me a flexible schedule to dedicate to your pet. This allows me to provide consistent attention, care, and companionship tailored to each animal’s needs. Your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities. I follow your pet’s routine closely, provide attentive supervision, and maintain a calm, comfortable environment. With decades of experience — from ranch animals to senior dogs, cats, and small pets — I provide patient, loving, and reliable care that pet parents can trust.

Jennifer was so communicative and took great care of our pups, who can be a bit challenging. We were worried our anxious girl would be difficult to get harnessed and out the door, but looks like she had a great time, and we loved getting photos of her walk, along with all her friends at home, who need less attention. Thanks, Jennifer!

I’m fully available for drop-ins, walks, and pet sitting on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, with afternoon to evening availability on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. About: Hi! My name is Tommy. I’m a recent UCSB graduate with a deep love of animals big and small. From having had a dog myself, I know that when you have to leave the house, the first thing you worry about is your fur baby, and the last thing you want is for them to be left alone. That’s where I come in! I’m a trustworthy and responsible pet sitter, dog walker, cat watcher, goldfish feeder, horse whisperer (okay, maybe not that last one), here to take care of your pets for you while you’re gone, and give you the peace of mind of knowing that your baby is in safe hands. Services I provide include pet-sitting, dog-walking, litter-box cleaning, feeding, medication-administrating, house sitting, plant-watering, and more! Let’s connect! 🐾🐾 I'm currently working part-time from home as a research assistant (a job I can do on my laptop from virtually anywhere) - so I have plenty of time to take care of your pets, and give them the attention and TLC that they deserve :) I care for pets by giving them extra attention, as I know many animals can be initially stressed by new environments and/or new people. We start off by introducing them to me with you there, so they associate you - a person of comfort - with this new "scary" person, and find out they aren't so scary after all. Then after you leave, I watch over your baby with extra care, and take them on walks throughout the neighborhood to turn any potential nervous energy they might have into excitement about this new friend they're making.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 856 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Dulah. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Dulah. On Rover:

  • 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
