About: I am hyper-attuned to your dog's needs ensuring your pets sense of trust and well-being is secure. Showing up and being present is my priority! I work primarily from home, and my schedule is flexible from the morning to early evening time, making it easy to schedule service times that work conveniently with your schedule and pet needs. Routines and consistency are important to ensuring a dog's sense of the world and trust because they can anticipate what to expect each day. With my own dogs, I wake up and take them for a jog first thing in every morning. The routine accompanied with the daily exercise makes for very happy, well-behaved and content dogs. I will bring that same perspective to your pet's life. Additionally, I am a long time Rover customer and when I was single and working 9-5, I relied heavily on my dog walker and sitter to show up daily, on time, in a loving, attentive way. For those of you who are away from your pets for long periods, please know that I understand the importance of being that consistent person in their life who shows up on time and meets their needs in your absence. Being a Rover walker and drop-in visitor is my way of giving back and saying thank you for all those who supported my pups for so many years!

Mike was on time and courteous, and most importantly, developed an instant rapport with my skittish shepherd. He was great at handling her when she tried to bark at a little dog, and got her under control without being harsh. I feel good about him walking her alone.

About: I have taken care of my family and friend’s dogs over the years. I work from home thus hang with my cats. I love taking pets on walks, playing with them, and showing them love. I’ve also lived with cats throughout my life. I currently have a cat that I’ve taught to sit and high five. I would take my late senior dog on walks in the morning, afternoons and evenings. I’m experienced with giving dogs/cats medication such as pills or liquids with syringes, if needed. I currently work from home so I have flexibility to play with your dog and take them out on walks, if house sitting. I can housesit on weekends especially and avalible during the week. I can do prolong stays at your home to take care of your pets or to check in on them. I can take care of your dog and/or cat. I’d be glad to take them to the park or beach to get them to run around and play. Let me know if there is any special things your dogs need.

About: I’ve had dogs all my life. I learned responsibility by having dogs all my life. The attachment and care I have for animals is tremendous. My heart is full because of them and it breaks when they’re hurting or sad. I take a lot of pride in the way I care for my own animals. I always put their needs first. I even took a remote job so I can spend more time with them. When my dog got sick I was constantly monitoring, medication handling, and I never put her health to the side. I act quickly. I also am very careful with who the dogs I take care of come in contact with. I can read dogs body language and will not force them to be in a situation they don’t like. Some dogs are friendly and some like their space. It is important for me to create space. It doesn’t matter if a dog is small and won’t hurt a fly, they can agitate a dog that can hurt them. I have even saved a yorkie from being attacked by a dog. This wasn’t under my care but I knew what to do and stepped in. I currently work remote. This means I can take out the pups for play and for a walk. I live right down the street from a park. And prioritize taking the pups out 2-3 times a day. Making sure they’re out for more than an hour. I have a small back yard and 3 friendly dogs. One old Shih Tzu, a heeler, and a yorkie. They love to play but love to protect their home so they will always be loud when someone is at the door.. I always treat the pups the same. I know how worried I am leaving my heeler behind so I know to take good care of new pups because I know they’re missing their parents too! As for someone else’s home. I do the same! Obviously respect the home but work in a schedule to accommodate what I need to get done but also create play, walk, or enrichment play.

About: Hi! My name is Tommy. I’m a recent UCSB graduate with a deep love of animals big and small. From having had a dog myself, I know that when you have to leave the house, the first thing you worry about is your fur baby, and the last thing you want is for them to be left alone. That’s where I come in! I’m a trustworthy and responsible pet sitter, dog walker, cat watcher, goldfish feeder, horse whisperer (okay, maybe not that last one), here to take care of your pets for you while you’re gone, and give you the peace of mind of knowing that your baby is in safe hands. Services I provide include pet-sitting, dog-walking, litter-box cleaning, feeding, medication-administrating, house sitting, plant-watering, and more! Let’s connect! 🐾🐾 I'm currently working part-time from home as a research assistant (a job I can do on my laptop from virtually anywhere) - so I have plenty of time to take care of your pets, and give them the attention and TLC that they deserve :) I care for pets by giving them extra attention, as I know many animals can be initially stressed by new environments and/or new people. We start off by introducing them to me with you there, so they associate you - a person of comfort - with this new "scary" person, and find out they aren't so scary after all. Then after you leave, I watch over your baby with extra care, and take them on walks throughout the neighborhood to turn any potential nervous energy they might have into excitement about this new friend they're making.

Ari is a gem. Great personality, grounded, responsible and kind. Dogs have a sixth sense. When my Sofi ran into the house to greet me after her walk to say I’m back she immediately returned to Ari for some rubs. I knew then I was totally comfortable giving my sweet girl’s care to Ari. Three walks done and many more planned. Thank you, Ari, for making Sofi’s life better. She loves her walks.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Dulah. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Dulah.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Dulah. On Rover:

  • 93% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 99% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
