“Neyda was wonderful with my dog Oreo. He took to her right away, and I will continue to use her for walks and to take care of him. I would not hesitate to recommend her.”

About: I am hyper-attuned to your dog's needs ensuring your pets sense of trust and well-being is secure. Showing up and being present is my priority! I work primarily from home, and my schedule is flexible from the morning to early evening time, making it easy to schedule service times that work conveniently with your schedule and pet needs. Routines and consistency are important to ensuring a dog's sense of the world and trust because they can anticipate what to expect each day. With my own dogs, I wake up and take them for a jog first thing in every morning. The routine accompanied with the daily exercise makes for very happy, well-behaved and content dogs. I will bring that same perspective to your pet's life. Additionally, I am a long time Rover customer and when I was single and working 9-5, I relied heavily on my dog walker and sitter to show up daily, on time, in a loving, attentive way. For those of you who are away from your pets for long periods, please know that I understand the importance of being that consistent person in their life who shows up on time and meets their needs in your absence. Being a Rover walker and drop-in visitor is my way of giving back and saying thank you for all those who supported my pups for so many years!

About: Hello, I'm Clara! I'm a college senior home for the summer, looking to help out fellow pet owners. I have complete availability, so I have plenty of time to play with your pups and give them my full and undivided attention! In addition to walking your dogs around the neighborhood or playing in the yard, I can drive to many nearby walking routes. I live at home where we have a large, fully fenced yard with plenty of both shade and sun. We have 2 friendly dogs and 2 rarely seen cats. The neighborhood is very walkable, and the beach is closeby!

“Mike was on time and courteous, and most importantly, developed an instant rapport with my skittish shepherd. He was great at handling her when she tried to bark at a little dog, and got her under control without being harsh. I feel good about him walking her alone.”
“I couldn’t be happier with Katherine’s service! I highly recommend her to other dog owners. I have a newly adopted dog who is a rescue and he is very nervous in new surroundings. Katherine came to our house for a meet and greet before hand which allowed my dog to get to know her. Katherine was patient, accommodating, and very knowledgeable of animal behavior and training techniques. She sent me pictures throughout the day so that I had peace of mind that my dog was being well taken care of while I had to work. Thank you Katherine!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
