About: Hello, I'm Clara! I'm a college senior home for the summer, looking to help out fellow pet owners. I've taken care of a myriad of pets, all with different personalities and temperaments, throughout my entire life (dogs, cats, chickens, horses, etc) I love working with animals, big or small, and will ensure the safety and happiness of your pets! I have complete availability, so I have plenty of time to play with your pups and give them my full and undivided attention! In addition to walking your dogs around the neighborhood or playing in the yard, I can drive to many nearby walking routes. I live at home where we have a large, fully fenced yard with plenty of both shade and sun. We have 2 friendly dogs and 2 rarely seen cats. The neighborhood is very walkable, and the beach is closeby!

Cheryl did a great job of caring for and exercising our 4 year old lab from our Montecito Airbnb. Carley instantly liked her and was nice and tired when we returned. Cheryl was an excellent communicator and working with her was a breeze. Carley seemed quite pleased as well. I highly recommend her.

About: 40+ verified house sits completed on TrustedHousesitters. I can also provide screenshots of reviews upon request. “5-star client satisfaction (Trusted Housesitters) Multi-pet household experience up to 5 dogs + 4 cats Long-term in-home care up to 1 month Overseas housesitting/petsitting experience I have completed approximately 40 house and pet sitting assignments over the past two years, ranging from short-term stays to extended, multi-week care. My experience includes managing households with multiple animals, including up to five dogs and four cats simultaneously, as well as mixed households requiring coordinated feeding, walking, and individualized care routines. I have extensive experience caring for senior dogs and cats, including administering structured routines, monitoring mobility and comfort, and adapting care to age-related needs to ensure safety and stability. I have provided continuous in-home care for stays of up to one month, ensuring both reliable household security and consistent, attentive pet care. Responsibilities have included structured daily walks, feeding schedules, basic care routines, and maintaining the home in orderly condition. Across these sits, I have maintained a 99% five-star rating, reflecting a consistent record of reliability, professionalism, and high-quality care. I am experienced in managing complex, multi-pet environments with attention to detail, safety, and respect for each household’s specific instructions. House and pet sitting is my full-time profession and core area of expertise. I specialize in providing reliable in-home care for pets and household management during client travel, including extended stays of up to one month. My experience includes managing multi-pet households, supporting senior animals, and maintaining stable routines for pets with varying temperaments. This work is my primary occupation, and I bring a consistent, structured approach to every assignment. Option 3 (more personal but still professional) House and pet sitting is my full-time work and what I dedicate myself to professionally. I care for pets and homes while clients are away, with experience across a wide range of animals, including multi-pet households and senior care needs. This role allows me to provide consistent, attentive care and maintain stable routines in the home environment, which is my primary professional focus. I care for pets in the client’s home by following their established routines and instructions closely to maintain consistency and reduce stress for the animals. Before each sit, I consult with the owner to understand each pet’s specific needs, including feeding schedules, walking routines, medical requirements, behavioral considerations, and any household preferences. I prioritize keeping pets in their familiar environment with minimal disruption, ensuring they feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. During care, I provide structured daily routines that may include feeding, fresh water, exercise or walks, litter box maintenance, medication administration when needed, and regular check-ins to monitor behavior and wellbeing. I also adjust my approach based on each pet’s temperament, whether they are social, shy, anxious, or require more attentive support, including senior care considerations. In addition to pet care, I maintain the household as requested, which may include basic home upkeep, security awareness, bringing in mail, and ensuring the home remains clean and orderly. My approach is consistent, detail-oriented, and focused on reliability, communication with the owner, and the overall wellbeing of the pets in my care.

About: Hi my name is Melissa! I’m a lifelong dog lover and proud owner of a 7-year-old Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix. Raising and caring for my own dog has taught me so much about patience, consistency, and understanding each dog’s unique personality. I’ve also worked with him through dog training, so I’m familiar with positive reinforcement techniques and basic training tools that help keep dogs happy, engaged, and well-behaved. In addition to caring for my own pup, I’m the go-to dog sitter for my cousins, family, and friends whenever they’re out of town. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, feeding, sticking to routines, or simply providing companionship, I genuinely enjoy making sure every dog feels safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. What sets me apart is the level of care I give every dog. I don’t see pet sitting as just a job I treat every dog like they’re my own. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I make it my priority to provide dependable, attentive, and loving care. I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages, follow your dog’s routine closely, and make sure they receive plenty of exercise, affection, and one-on-one attention. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family member! I am available in the mornings or afternoons. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I already care for my own 7-year-old dog every day, so adding walks, playtime, feeding, and lots of attention for other pets is something I truly enjoy. I have a flexible schedule outside of work and make it a priority to give every pet the time, care, and attention they deserve. I care for every pet as if they were my own. As a dog owner of 7 years, I understand how important routine, patience, and safety are. I follow each pet’s normal schedule for feeding, walks, playtime, and any special instructions while making sure they feel comfortable and loved. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know how your pet is doing.

About: I have 2 years of hands-on dog care, regularly watching a large Golden Retriever and a medium Chihuahua–Dachshund mix. I’m comfortable with strong pullers and high-energy pups, and I’m just as gentle with small dogs. I follow your routines for meals, walks, potty breaks, and playtime, and I send clear updates with photos after each visit. Safety and calm handling are my priorities—I keep leashes secure, monitor weather and hydration, and tidy up after outdoor fun. I can help with brushing and basic cues like sit/stay/leave-it. Your dog will get patient, reliable care and lots of affection every time. I work fully remote, so I’m home and attentive most of the day. I pop out once daily for the gym (about an hour) and plan visits around it. I’m available for morning, lunchtime, and evening walks/check-ins, plus overnight house sitting when needed. Weekends are open. Your pup’s meals, potty breaks, and playtime fit naturally into my routine, and I send quick updates so you always know how they’re doing. I follow your dog’s routine exactly—feeding, meds, crate, and house rules. I double-check doors and gates, keep dogs leashed unless you’ve approved a secure fenced area, and handle both strong pullers (Golden Retriever) and small dogs (Chiweenie) with calm, confident control. I monitor heat/cold, carry water, wipe paws, clean bowls, and tidy up before I leave. Home stays locked and secure, and you’ll get clear photo updates every visit.

About: I've taken care of family and friend family pets growing up. My mom set up daycare for children and families would bring their pets often. (Watching my mommies growing up was my first experience and I now enjoying caring for others on my own leisure time) On my personal time, I've taken care of colleagues and friends family pets. My chihuahua will come with me on home visits otherwise I will require 1 hour break to go home to feed/walk my furbaby. I live by Bacara, I have the backyard that leads to Ellwood preserve. I do not use dog food to feed due to the high sodium, I cook meals using protein, veggies and Japanese potato. I'm happy to walk/care for family pets starting at 6am and latest walk at 6pm unless you are requesting overnight. Bed time is by 9pm or earlier. I have trim pets hair and given baths, this is complimentary for overnight stays even for 1 day. I have the materials and only cut hair by hand. I will keep majority of the hair 🙂 so you will not return surprised, your furbaby will look rejuvenated and polished 💖 I treat all furbaby as my own and cook extra portion for yours. I will walk the dogs together, 3 max at a time including my chihuahua. My chihuahua is allowed everywhere in my home so your furbaby is allowed to go anywhere except for kitchen when I'm cooking. Walks happen every 4 hours unless we are sleeping. I do not crate any furbaby so will not take you if this is something you request, I believe family pets should be included so will be in couch or bed. If they are in the floor every room has a fluffy bed. I do not have cat climbing build, only fuzzy beds! 🐾

About: Since my early childhood, I've nurtured a profound fascination with animals, which began when I used to visit my papa's ranch and assist him in caring for dogs, horses, lambs, and various other animals. This passion persisted as I ventured into horseback riding and my family welcomed our first golden retriever. Presently, my devotion to dogs has reached new heights as I have a Golden Retriever of my own, not just a family pet. She has become my dearest companion, best friend, and daughter. I first met her as a puppy and after a few times playing with her, knew she was mine. Along the way, I've happily taken on the role of pet-sitter for numerous friends' dogs and cats. I firmly believe that pets deserve nothing but the utmost care and affection, and I can see how the love they receive is beautifully reflected in their demeanor. Thanks to my keen intuition and ability to connect rapidly with dogs, some of my friends even refer to me as the "dog whisperer." I am currently in between jobs and have a pretty open schedule. I start my job mid July and will be available weekends and occasional nights then. As a dedicated dog babysitter, I want to assure you that your beloved furry friend's safety is my utmost priority. I am a responsible and reliable caregiver who takes the time to understand each dog's unique needs and preferences. My commitment to your pet's well-being means they will receive the love, attention, and care they deserve while you are away. I will strive to create a nurturing and stress-free environment for your dog, ensuring they feel comfortable and happy during our time together.

About: ** My next available dates for Board & Train are January 6-11 & 18-24th within 15 mins of central Austin. I have a BA in Photography from the University of Texas at Austin, so I can take really great pictures of your pets, but most importantly, I am a high functioning, detail oriented empath with over 6 years of full-time canine training experience. My specialty is with sporting dogs and fear/hyperactive cases of all kinds, but I also have some training experience with cats and horses. I am based in Austin, Texas and will be doing training as I travel the US seasonally. I just completed 4 months in the St. Louis area, and am currently working through the end of November in the Vail Valley of Colorado! Check me out at Super Simple Dog Training. My base housesitting service offering will give you peace of mind knowing that your dog's "non-ideal" behaviors will likely get a little better, depending of the duration of the stay; This outcome is simply based on my normal behavioral expectations and keeping the undesirable behaviors from continuing to be a daily habit. If you are need of a combination of training and in-home boarding/housesitting, I offer my Board & Train Service to those who have completed 2 or more private training sessions (zoom sessions do the trick). If you would like to learn more about how the B&T program works, feel free to drop me a line and we can set up a complimentary introduction chat! I am a full time dog trainer and have been for the past 6 years. Your pet and home will have my full attention during the contracted stay. At this time, I only offer boarding services at the home of the client. This is because dogs learn visually and situationally, so it's important for the training work to be done in the animal's home in order to get the most bang for your buck.

About: I was a nanny over the last several years and always easily got acquainted with whichever household pets came with my jobs. I am confident with animals and easily make a connection. I am gentle and kind and I’ve never had had a problem with any animals, I have run into or cared for. I currently just moved back to Santa Barbara and do a little pet sitting already. But I’m looking to expand my platform. I have an open schedule and want to have a Part-time job that I enjoy doing. I am happy to provide, whichever services are needed per sitting. If that means, it’s a walk, feeding, overnight, just some friendly attention or etc, I am more than happy to provide anything.

Caitlin was amazing! I needed a sitter very last minute due to a family situation. I was nervous to find a walker/sitter on Rover, especially since I have such a large dog but I was in a pinch and Caitlin responded right away and suggested a meet-and-greet. I met her the next day and immediately felt relieved — she has so much experience and such a positive and excitement energy about animals! I left the following day knowing Daisy was in great hands. I appreciated the sweet photos and updates of the fun walks while I was away. I came home to a happy, healthy dog and calming music playing in the background. I honestly cannot express how relieved I felt knowing Daisy was so well cared for. I’m so grateful to now have someone in town I fully trust. Thank you, Caitlin!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
