About: I've had dogs and many other pets my entire life- a boxer, pugs, Akita, Cairn, and a terrier mix with health issues, requiring extra care. I'm recently retired, so pet sitting will be my full time priority. I will devote all my care and attention to your pets, plants and garden. As an avid walker and hiker, I especially enjoy caring for dogs who love outdoor time and exercise. I also love being in nature, so pet sitting is a great fit-it allows me to care for animals while spending time outdoors. I no longer have pets of my own and truly miss the companionship they bring, which makes caring for animals especially rewarding to me. Spending time with pets feels grounding and joyful, and I genuinely value creating a calm, reassuring presence for them while their people are away

About: I've been taking care of pets for my family, and have watched the pets of others for my whole life! I have watched dogs that require a lot of attention, as well as cats that require oral medication. I can work with your pets needs! My work is appointment based, so I am often gone for 4-6 hours at a time before I come home in between appointments throughout the day! I can easily care for your pets within your home. I'm happy to go on long or short walks, stick to feeding/medication schedules, and anything else that your pet needs!

About: I can't remember a time without a furry (or occasionally aloof, whiskered) friend by my side. I literally came home from the hospital to a wagging tail — my family's dog was my first welcome committee, and honestly, it's been downhill ever since. In the best way. I've shared my home with cats who ran the place like tiny CEOs, and two dogs who kept me on my toes and taught me more about patience than any human ever has. If you've got a dog who needs zoomies and belly rubs, or a cat who'll deign to acknowledge my existence on her own schedule, I speak both languages fluently. I'm also a proud supporter of the Santa Barbara Humane Society — animals have given me enough joy over the years that giving back isn't optional, it's just what you do. When you leave your pet with me, you're not getting a stranger who "loves animals" in the vague, profile-filler kind of way. You're getting someone who will send you the update photos, learn your dog's weird quirks or your cat's exact opinion of strangers, and treat your critter like my own — because that's the whole job. As someone who's self-employed, I have the flexibility to give your pets the time and attention they deserve. I recently said goodbye to my beloved companion, and while I'm not quite ready to welcome a new furry friend into my own home yet, caring for other people's pets has been incredibly meaningful. It keeps me connected to what I love most while giving me the chance to shower someone else's best friend with all the love and care they need. I work from home, I'm flexible throughout the day, for pet companionship and supervision. I'm also an active person who loves getting out, so regular walks to the park, beach, or around downtown are part of my routine. Your furry friend will get both the comfort of a home environment and the adventure of exploring Santa Barbara's best spots.

About: I’ve had animals in my life since I was born. I’ve had bunnies and cats and fish and dogs and birds. I’ve learned great ways to meet each of these animals with gentle and respectful care. I primarily work Monday-Wednesday 11am-8pm. I’m much more available in the evenings and weekends to take care of beloved pets. Pet walks would be most accessible on Thursdays-Sundays. I do not offer pet care in my home, I don’t have pets because I live in a very tiny apartment and know that’s not conducive for their wellbeing. In my client’s home, I show the utmost respect and care for their items, animal care needs and I triple check that I leave everything clean and locked.

About: I have 2 years of hands-on dog care, regularly watching a large Golden Retriever and a medium Chihuahua–Dachshund mix. I’m comfortable with strong pullers and high-energy pups, and I’m just as gentle with small dogs. I follow your routines for meals, walks, potty breaks, and playtime, and I send clear updates with photos after each visit. Safety and calm handling are my priorities—I keep leashes secure, monitor weather and hydration, and tidy up after outdoor fun. I can help with brushing and basic cues like sit/stay/leave-it. Your dog will get patient, reliable care and lots of affection every time. I work fully remote, so I’m home and attentive most of the day. I pop out once daily for the gym (about an hour) and plan visits around it. I’m available for morning, lunchtime, and evening walks/check-ins, plus overnight house sitting when needed. Weekends are open. Your pup’s meals, potty breaks, and playtime fit naturally into my routine, and I send quick updates so you always know how they’re doing. I follow your dog’s routine exactly—feeding, meds, crate, and house rules. I double-check doors and gates, keep dogs leashed unless you’ve approved a secure fenced area, and handle both strong pullers (Golden Retriever) and small dogs (Chiweenie) with calm, confident control. I monitor heat/cold, carry water, wipe paws, clean bowls, and tidy up before I leave. Home stays locked and secure, and you’ll get clear photo updates every visit.

About: I have a lot of love and experience with animals! My family has always loved animals, and I’ve grown up having multiple dogs throughout my life. I’m very comfortable caring for dogs of different personalities and love spending time playing with them, giving them attention, and taking them on walks. I treat every pet like they’re part of the family and want to make sure they feel happy, safe, and cared for while you’re away! I’m a student at SBCC and currently only have classes on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, so I have plenty of free time on the other days to care for your pup! I’m able to be flexible with my schedule and would love to spend my free time taking dogs on walks, playing with them, and giving them lots of attention and care. I’m unable to have pets stay in my home because I live in student housing, but I’m happy to care for pets in their own home! I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’m happy to follow their usual routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, and giving them lots of attention. I’ll also make sure their space stays clean and they have everything they need.

About: I've been taking care of animals since I was 15. I’ve taken care of both senior dogs, and puppies. My family has a rescue dog (that I don't live with at the moment), and was raised taking care of her in all seasons of life. I work from home most days. I live close to a walking trail and near a park that I would be happy to take your pet to for the bathroom and to let off some energy. My apartment is clean and has a fenced in balcony. I live near several green spaces and large fields where dogs are welcome to run around, let out energy, or go to the bathroom. I also live near lots of walking trails. I am familiar with crating but am happy to have your pet roaming the house if that is preferred.

About: I have two pets of my own that I love and adore but looking for something to do part time. I’m available Saturday’s and Sunday’s and most weeknights. I currently do have a full time job with a flexible schedule. I’m open most of the day Saturday and Sunday! I can also do some evenings during the week. About: I have lots of experience with senior dogs, this includes administering medication in pill form, providing gentle walks, and quiet company. I also have experience with large breed high energy dogs who require lots of exercise. As well as small dogs who just need a trot around the neighborhood. I recently moved here from Northern California and am currently going to school online while working part-time at a local restaurant. My schedule is pretty flexible, which means I have lots of time to hangout with your fur babies! I love spending time with animals, getting outside for walks, and making sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away. I have a dog of my own, so I know how important it is to find someone you trust with them. I’d care for your pets just like I’d want someone to care for my own! She works from home and is a certified dog trainer and I'm the manager of a local veterinary hospital. Together, we offer a uniquely loving, experienced, and structured environment for pets of any size or special needs. Pets in our care are spoiled with snuggles and lots of love, treats (when permitted by their owners) and rarely spend time out of our sight. Long walks and playtime with our cattle dog and chihuahua wear out most dogs in no time. Unless specifically requested by their owners, dogs in our care are never crated for extended periods or locked inside without access to a fenced patio. Schedule: We offer an open, flexible schedule for clients with pets of all kinds, including continuous care for pets with separation anxiety or complex health needs. Having someone that works from home allows all the time in the world for our pups and our visiting guests to be pampered, offering customized care for their unique needs.
