I’m a lifelong animal lover and dog mom to two adorable pups: Buttercup (12), my sweet senior with special needs and daily medications, and Mochi (5), a goofy, high-energy ball of love. I’ve raised them both since they were tiny pups. I grew up with huskies and horses, so I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels. So your pet will have my full attention and I’ll be able to accommodate schedules and routines! At home, I keep your babies with me and separate from our two very friendly (with dogs and humans) shitzu pups. If you’re comfortable with the pups mixing and mingling, then I’ll let them hang out together. Otherwise, I’ll keep your pet with me in my office. My office has a couch, a dog bed and if they like to cool off their warm bellies, a hardwood floor. Regardless, your pet will be with me! I like to take walks around the courthouse since it’s so pretty and close by, so we’ll do that as well. We also have a back patio that I can additionally let them run around in. Depending on your comfort levels and size of your pup, your pet can sleep in my bedroom (not in bed) or in the living room in front of our bedroom on a plush dog bed. ***A couple of side notes: 1. Let me know any restrictions your pet has around food, diets, allergies and treats. 2. We also have a crate, if that’s something you want/need for your pet. 3. Please wait for a confirmation from me regarding your booking. I do accept last minute requests but every now and then last minute obligations come up!

About: I’m a college student in the Santa Barbara/Montecito area with years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages and sizes. I’m reliable, punctual, and active, so your friend will always get the attention and exercise they need. I have loved taking care of pets since I got a dog of my own in 2014. I have been trusted to care for friend’s pets and homes for quite some time. I communicate with owners well with photos and notes after every walk so you know your dog is safe and happy. I am eager to spend time with your furry friends this semester! I am a full time student at Westmont college. I’m available most afternoons, with lots of free time on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Pet care fits naturally into my routine- I love walk local neighborhoods and beaches in my free time and would love to have your pet come along! I have some availability on weekends for walks and drop-ins! I do not provide my own home care- as I live in a dorm! Even though there is not much space for me to care for a pet, I’d love to spend time with your furry friend outside or in-house!

About: I received my MS degree in Human Canine Life Sciences last year. I have studied everything from genetics, domestication, breeding and legal regulations for canines, to the untapped potential of their abilities, the complexities of their emotional lives and the world of assisted therapy and facility dogs. I also recently completed a two-week workshop on training service animals. I have fostered and volunteered for 18 years and ran a dog walking business during college. I am a wealth of information about animals and a well of pure love that will never run dry. I can assess if there are health issues and make recommendations if you want to have that conversation. I also crock"pet" whole food dog food and can advise you on nutrition too, if that's of interest. I am highly sensitive to animals and their needs and moods and comfortability. I have two highly reactive large breeds and can handle dogs on leash in any situation (and won't put myself in one that I can not). I really want to be an advocate for all animals and be a positive part of your lives, whether it's a one time walk or everyday. I'm also here to talk about your pets with you and I will send from zero to a zillion photos and messages- whatever makes you feel good. I can promise you my full attention and so much crazy love for your mates. I am a writer and I also produce and act in the theatre. Most of the time, unless I am in rehearsal, I work from home with a highly flexible schedule. If I'm not home, I'm probably sneaking across the street (when my dawgos aren't looking) stealing snugs and offering the occasional greenie to the dogs on my block. They're sooooo nice, they kill me. I'm hugely attentive and I enjoy it all: a rambunctious playful dude, a senior who just wants belly rubs and snoogs, and the process of gaining the trust of a dog who may need some time and space at first. All of it. I pay attention. I'm with your pets to provide care, love and my presence, not just clock in and out. I feel a responsibility to the well-being of animals (and am honored to have that responsibility) because I have so much education and experience. The time I spend is quality and mindful and I'm truly grateful for it.

About: I grew up raising and taking care of three golden retrievers and a tuxedo cat. I would feed them all, take the dogs out to do their business, clean the cat’s litter box, change their waters out, walk the dogs, and play with them all.
