“From the first moment we met Ann it was obvious how much she cares about animals and the sense of trust and responsibility that comes with looking after somebodies pet. We felt so relaxed when we were away because Ann kept us up to date everyday and sent pictures. We came home to a clean tidy house, and a very happy little cat. Thank you Ann!”

About: I've had large dogs since I was a kid. Grew up with them and watched family and friends' dogs in later years. I've had a reptile as well! I have experience in giving medicine, special diets and reactive dogs. I'm currently going back to school online so I'm looking for some part time work. I currently have 4 cats and I'm often playing with them when I'm not working on school. Since it's all online, I don't run into many scheduling conflicts so I'm always making sure the pets are taken care of. When I was growing up, I would take our two large dogs for walks or monitor them outside in the backyard. I've watched family dogs in their homes and senior dogs to keep them more comfortable. My cats enjoy various climbing areas in my home and are regularly fed on schedule.

“I was cautious over leaving my home and rescue dog for first time so I went through several sources before using Rover.com but after several "meet n greets" I found someone who could work remotely to spend the 4 days I would be gone with the least amount of time away to meet my needs. Jeannette was the best person I could have found for my first time away and would highly recommend her as a very responsible, experienced and loving pet owner who gave me the confidence to rely upon someone approved by an established company that does background checking and oversight to alleviate any anxiety over leaving my pet for a first time experience. I will definitely use Rover and Jeannette again, also in other ways when needed.”

About: I’ve taken care of and had my own pets since I was 13 years old. I’ve had all sorts of cats and dogs under my care. I know how to train and make sure all pets are happy, safe and healthy. I’m currently working as a part time at a hospital and doing part time as well for college. My availability for the summer is everyday of the week at anytime before 3pm. I make sure that the environment the pet is in is safe from any hazards such as materials or food. Along with that they have the space for their needs as in playing, eating, sleeping, etc. I keep my eyes on the pet to make sure everything is going right and smoothly.

“We went away to visit our daughter. There are only 2 people we trust our dogs with when we are away. Dario is one of them. Thanks for caring for our fur babies as if they are your own! Archie and Lennon love Dario!”

About: I’ve cared for animals my whole life—dogs, cats, and especially puppies. I’ve personally trained two puppies from scratch, so I’m comfortable with the patience and consistency it takes to support a dog through their early years. I have a deep, intuitive connection with animals and often find I understand their energy and needs even better than people’s. I work for myself from home here in Santa Barbara, which means I have plenty of flexibility to give pets the time, attention, and companionship they deserve. Whether it's daily walks, belly rubs, or just a calm, safe space, I approach every animal with genuine care and a tender heart. I’m also very active, so long walks and outdoor time are a highlight for both me and the dogs I care for. I work for myself and from home, so my schedule is very flexible. That means I can easily adapt to your pet’s needs—whether it’s regular walks, drop-in visits, or overnight care. I’ll always make time to give your pet the attention and consistency they deserve. Every animal is unique, and I take the time to understand their individual needs, energy, and comfort level. I’ll meet your dog or cat where they’re at—whether that means extra space, extra snuggles, or gentle structure—with clear, compassionate boundaries to keep them safe and happy. If your pet is staying with me, they’ll be treated like one of my own. I live in a calm, pet-friendly apartment near Santa Barbara City College, with plenty of walkable paths and green spaces nearby. I love getting outside and take dogs on multiple long walks throughout the day. If your dog is social and has solid recall, I can bring them to local off-leash areas for supervised play and exploration. I have one small dog of my own—Pepper, a 3.5-year-old mixed breed who’s very friendly and well-socialized. I also have two young stepsons who are with us 50% of the time, so dogs staying in our home must be kid-friendly. The good news? Your dog will get plenty of love and attention from four caring humans. I’ve trained two of my own dogs from puppyhood and am confident managing a range of behaviors—from leash training to crate routines and basic obedience. I’m also comfortable administering medications and caring for senior pets or those with special needs. For cat care, I’m especially attuned to their unique rhythms and boundaries, and I provide calm, consistent care whether I’m visiting your home or caring for them during a stay. Whether I’m boarding, walking, or house sitting, your pet will be safe, respected, and genuinely cared for—just like family.

“I am so impressed and thankful with Olivia’s quick replies and fast availability! My family and I were in Santa Barbara for a few days to attend a wedding. The daycare where our boy Remy was supposed to stay at while we attended the wedding fell thru so I quickly turned to Rover. Within minutes Olivia replied, was available and booked. She stayed at our hotel room with Remy with no problem. Our hotel was near a busy traffic area and Olivia safely took him out to the bathroom and on a short walk, which was perfect! She was kind and accommodating and took such great care of Remy. I would definitely book her again if we are in SB!”

About: Hi! My name is Lauren, and I have over five years of hands on experience caring for dogs of all ages, breeds, and behaviors. I fostered dogs with my mom from 2020-2022, helping them transition from rescue to loving homes. I’ve also worked at a dog daycare, where I was responsible for managing group play, monitoring different behaviors, feeding schedules, and ensuring a safe and happy environment for all dogs. If you're looking for someone with lots of experience, a lifelong love for animals, and a dependable presence, I'm here to help when you need a sitter you can trust. Since I already care for my own rescue cat, tending to animals is just a regular part of my day! I currently work part time, which gives me the flexibility to schedule visits, walks, or check ins around your pet’s needs. I am available during early mornings, early afternoons, and evenings! I take the time to learn each pet’s needs, whether that’s feeding schedules, medication, preferred walks, or playtime preferences. I emphasize making sure to keep everything tidy, from food bowls to litter boxes. Finally, I always want to provide regular updates so you can feel confident that your pet is in good hands. Comfort for both my client and their pet is of the utmost importance to me.

About: I was brought up in the midwest where we had a variety of dog breeds from medium to large and learned early how to love and care for animals. Along with walking, feeding, snuggling and playing, I have extensive experience with many common canine behaviors and how to adapt to different energy levels. I also sit for cats and other animals and love getting to know new furry friends. I am happy to learn your pet, its needs and help to be a human stand in when you are away. I work from home during the week and am flexible for walk, play and snuggle schedules. I live next to a large park and love taking beach loving doggos to Hendrys! I like to regularly make play time at parks and go for walks (or swims) at Hendrys beach, Douglas Preserve or Elings. If they have a favorite spot to run/walk/play I will be glad to take them!

“Great service. Watched our house and our pets for a week while we went out of state. Bethany texted us if there was anything unusual and we really appreciated it. Everything was left clean and tidy and our pets are healthy and happy. It’s all we could ask for. I would recommend Bethany for any pet sitting opportunity as well as housesitting.”

“Sara cared for our two feisty Jack Russell Terriers and did a brilliant job! We felt completely at ease going away because we knew they were in expert hands. She has our complete trust, and we will definitely be asking for her services again if her time permits!”

“Our family has used Caden several times to sit for our three Labradoodles. One of our Labradoodles has medical issues and he can only eat liquid and must be fed 3 x a day. Caden was able to meet all of his needs. She also went over and above to care for all three doodles. Our Labradoodles are indoor dogs and require a lot of attention. I Like having a dog sitter that will stay at our home overnight. Caden was able to provide great care for all three dogs as if they were her own.. I would highly recommend Caden as a house/dog sitter. PS our dogs love Caden!!”
