About: Hi, my name is Basilia, I also go by Juno. Although I don’t have any formal dog experience, I have grown up around dogs all my life. I have experience house/dog sitting for my friends and neighbors in high-school, and even more experience taking care of my families big dogs. Further, I have some experience taking care of senior dogs, as my late Akita spent nearly 5 years on intensive medication. I love playing with dogs, taking them on walks, going to the dog park, and making life good in the safety of their own homes. I’m a student at Santa Barbara City College, but my flexible schedule allows me to spend plenty of time with your animals! I have at least 2-4 hours a day available to spend playing with, walking, or otherwise taking care of your babies. I prioritize pet safety in my care. I listen carefully to your rules about where the animal is/isn’t allowed to go, and can provide intensive support for your animals. I make sure to spend time building trust with the animal using treats or soothing methods upon meeting them, so that they feel safe and comfortable around me.

About: I've taken care of family and friend family pets growing up. My mom set up daycare for children and families would bring their pets often. (Watching my mommies growing up was my first experience and I now enjoying caring for others on my own leisure time) On my personal time, I've taken care of colleagues and friends family pets. My chihuahua will come with me on home visits otherwise I will require 1 hour break to go home to feed/walk my furbaby. I live by Bacara, I have the backyard that leads to Ellwood preserve. I do not use dog food to feed due to the high sodium, I cook meals using protein, veggies and Japanese potato. I'm happy to walk/care for family pets starting at 6am and latest walk at 6pm unless you are requesting overnight. Bed time is by 9pm or earlier. I have trim pets hair and given baths, this is complimentary for overnight stays even for 1 day. I have the materials and only cut hair by hand. I will keep majority of the hair 🙂 so you will not return surprised, your furbaby will look rejuvenated and polished 💖 I treat all furbaby as my own and cook extra portion for yours. I will walk the dogs together, 3 max at a time including my chihuahua. My chihuahua is allowed everywhere in my home so your furbaby is allowed to go anywhere except for kitchen when I'm cooking. Walks happen every 4 hours unless we are sleeping. I do not crate any furbaby so will not take you if this is something you request, I believe family pets should be included so will be in couch or bed. If they are in the floor every room has a fluffy bed. I do not have cat climbing build, only fuzzy beds! 🐾

I primarily work Monday-Wednesday 11am-8pm. I’m much more available in the evenings and weekends to take care of beloved pets. Pet walks would be most accessible on Thursdays-Sundays. About: A good chunk of my childhood was spent on a farm so being around/taking care of animals is about as natural to me as being with people. I grew up with all sorts of different animals from reptiles, to rodents, amphibians, birds, fish, and of course cats and dogs. There are probably few animals I haven’t had experience caring for. That being said I am most experienced in caring for dogs, cats, chickens, ducks and rabbits. Though I love all animals, dogs hold a special place in my heart. When I’m not dog sitting, I’m actively fostering for the local animal shelter which is always overflowing. Given my experience with power breeds I tend to take in the hardest cases as I am one of the few fosters in town qualified to handle these powerful animals. I don’t believe there is a such a thing as a bad dog, only those who have been failed by their humans. I am well versed in correcting certain behavioral patterns like dog reactivity however the majority of work needed to make it successful comes from the owners as consistency is key. Aside from reactive dogs, I have also have experience in caring for senior dogs who require round the clock supervision. As your dog ages it gets more and more difficult for them to control their urges so staying on top of bathroom breaks after meals is key to preventing accidents. I’m comfortable administering most medications. At this point you’re probably wondering why I don’t currently have my own dog and the reason is simply because my life is too much in flux at the moment. Next year in August I am moving to Germany for grad school and it is notoriously difficult to move a pet there due to all their restrictions and bans on certain breeds. I’m the sort of person who would rather loose a limb than abandon my pet so right now it’s just not in the cards for me. We do have two other dogs in the home, one small dog who prefers his space and one extremely sweet English Spaniel whom is safe with smaller animals such as rabbits and cats. As I am in the riviera there is an abundance of wildlife here that I do have to be transparent about. There is also a pool on the property which your dog is welcome to but please consult with me beforehand about any concerns you may have, I’m happy to restrict access if necessary.
