About: I genuinely love all animals and know firsthand that every pet has their own personality, habits, and routine. I’m extremely patient and empathetic, so whether your pet is shy, energetic, or just takes a little time to warm up to new people, I make sure they feel safe and comfortable. Because I've cared for a senior cat with special dietary needs and currently raise a high-energy dog, I'm just as comfortable handling delicate feeding routines and quiet days as I am burning off energy on long walks. I take your house rules and care instructions seriously, I'm always happy to accommodate whatever your pet needs, and my main goal is simply to make sure both you and your pet feel completely at ease while you're away. My workday finishes early at 2:00 PM Monday through Friday, giving me wide-open afternoons, evenings, and full weekends dedicated entirely to pet care. Because my work hours are flexible, I’m easily reachable throughout the day and consider myself essentially on-call for drop-ins, evening walks, or overnight sitting. Keeping your pets comfortable, safe, and on their normal schedule is always my top priority, and I’m happy to accommodate whatever timeline works best for you and your pet. When caring for pets in your home, I treat your space and your pets with total respect. I follow all of your house and pet rules to the letter, never invite guests over, and make sure your home is left just as clean and tidy as I found it. For me, clear communication is everything. You will receive regular photo, video, and text updates so you always know how your pet is doing. If any unexpected situation or question ever comes up, I will contact you immediately so you're always kept in the loop. My goal is for you to feel 100% confident that your home is secure and your pet is safe, happy, and loved.
“Absolutely fabulous! Michele is the best pet sitter I have ever had the pleasure of having for any of my dogs. She immediately bonded with Oliver, who is a real Mama’s boy. Lovely photos were sent daily of Oliver going on multiple walks, cuddling and enjoying his time with her. She was very attentive of his needs. Michele is a treasure”

About: Helped take care of a geriatric dog who was incontinent and lost the use of her legs in the last year of her life. I have had animals in my home all my life, from dogs, cats, birds, and lizards. I usually work a couple of days a week for half days at Michaels. I am available for check-ins most mornings and in the afternoons. I live in a condo with tons of space for running around. I have two of my own cats, and any boarders would have to be fine with them. My cats have their space. I respect any habits and boundaries you have at your house for your pet. I can brush and clean up after the pet, and play their favorite game.
“Julie was just amazing. Great communication about my dogs while I was away on my trip, she took lots of photos and videos of my puppies. She also went above and beyond...she picked up all the dog poop in the yard, she bought my dogs had a bunch of new toys and chew bones, she washed their dog bowls, she even toped off their water bowls before she left. Would definitely book her again.”

About: I have been a pet sitter since I was in middle school and have had the pleasure and opportunity to care for many different furry companions! I am no stranger to administering medications and have pet-sat many different dogs and cats of all sizes and shapes! I have no issue caring for cats and/or dogs that have any sort of deformities, amputations, or just look weird and funky in general. A dog is still a dog and a cat is still a cat, and every pet deserves love regardless of what they look like! I am currently a college student who loves caring for all kinds of fur babies! You can be sure I will have plenty of time to play with your pups and kittens to their hearts’ content! I’m still getting used to how this app works with its settings, so if you have any questions about pricing and scheduling, shoot me a text so we can discuss it! I'm willing to talk things out if you can't initially afford my rates! ¡También soy fluida en español! My clients will always receive the best care that I can give them. Every animal is different and has different needs, and I am prepared to meet them all! I'll be sure to send pictures and videos regularly of me and your pet(s) having a great time! I'm willing to protect your pet(s) as fiercely as you are, and I will happily administer medications and clean up messes! I take great pleasure and honor in making your best furry friends feel as safe and loved as they would if you were there!
“Sarah is always wonderful with my little girl. She is great about sending pictures, she follows the care instructions, and she is very respectful of the house. I always come home to a well cared for pup! Sarah is my go-to sitter!! Would definitely recommend her to anyone!”

About: I’ve helped rescue two dogs so far within these past few years. Animals have really brightened up my life. I love caring for pets any size and age. My old co workers would call me the doggy whisperer because I liked talking to the dogs that would come in with their owners and the dogs seem to take a liking to me. I’m not sure why dogs gravitate to me. I think it has to do with how much I appreciate all the love they have to give. They truly are little fury blessings. I am grateful to come in to contact with pets. I enjoy making them smile from ear to ear. With great responsibility, there also comes great rewards with having pets. I’m here to help anybody in need of a dog/house sitter! My availability is currently open anytime Monday through Sunday, day or night! I also am available for holidays and all summer long if you need me. I am currently only open to house sitting inside your home or pet sitting in your home. Temporarily in a transition of moving so, my place currently isn’t available for dog boarding.
About: I have a decade worth of experience caring for my babies. I’ve been referred as an animal whisperer, so I take first impressions very seriously. I am home 24/7, so you can trust that your babies are being attended to during their visit. That also means my schedule is very flexible and I am open to unique situations as well. My babies freely roam my home, but are very disciplined. They’re taken potty/walked ideally every 2 hours. Whatever my client needs, I will make sure I do my upmost to make it happen.
About: Hi there! My passion for dogs began in childhood with our beloved family pup, and it’s only grown stronger over the years. As an adult, I dedicated over 10 years volunteering with L.I.F.E Animal Rescue, where I had the joy of helping countless animals find loving homes. Every dog I’ve ever had has been a rescue, and I currently share my life with a spirited three-legged little guy I rescued more than 12 years ago. He’s a daily reminder of the resilience and love dogs bring into our lives. During the week, I work at the Getty Conservation Institute, but in my free time, I’m eager to spend more time doing what I love—caring for dogs. Whether it’s a brisk walk, a gentle stroll, or just some good company, I look forward to meeting your best furry friend and giving them the attention and care they deserve. I'm currently working full time at the Getty. I am available Friday, Saturdays and Sundays all day for special walks or checks ins when needed. Safety and attentiveness are at the heart of how I care for animals. During my 10 years volunteering with L.I.F.E Animal Rescue, I followed strict protocols for walking and handling dogs, always prioritizing their well-being and comfort. At home, I’m just as cautious—I’m always aware of where my dog is, and I make sure doors and gates are securely closed to keep him safe
About: I’ve had dogs and birds, but I’ve cared for many animals for over 15 years. Animals typically like me, because they know I love them! I currently work part-time and have a flexible schedule to take good care of your pets. We’ll have lots of walks and play time fun. I have a little fenced yard and lots of areas to walk. We can easily drive to dog parks. I’m very safe, gentle and attentive.
About: I am Native American and currently own a French Bulldog he is now 3 years old. Before that I owned an American Pitbull with my ex girlfriend before this dog. My family and I owned a couple of dogs. Just before I owned the Pitbull. Pets are life. Right now I have open availability. Monday through Friday anytime. I can and will work weekends. I am new to this however I have been around pets my whole. I grew on a farm in Texas. I don't care for pets I my own home. I live in a apartment. I'm not allowed to have other pets here unfortunately, they are strict.
About: I’ve been caring for pets since I was 16, so I have years of experience with animals of all ages and personalities, from energetic puppies and playful kittens to older pets who need extra patience and love. I currently have two dogs and a cat, and I’ve raised them since they were young, so I understand the attention, training, and care every animal needs. I’m an athlete and love going on walks, so I can keep up with high-energy dogs or take long, leisurely strolls with older pets. I’m also comfortable handling feisty or shy pets, and I always focus on building trust, keeping pets safe, and making sure they feel happy and loved while their owners are away. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, cuddles, or just companionship, I treat every animal like family and adapt to their unique personality and needs. I’m willing to go the extra mile (literally and figuratively) to make sure your pets feel cared for, safe, and comfortable. I just finished school and currently work as a waitress for about 4 hours a day, which leaves me with plenty of free time. I’m looking to spend those off-hours doing something I genuinely love caring for pets. My schedule is really flexible, so I’m able to fit in walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting throughout the day and week. Whether you need regular visits or last-minute help, I’m happy to make it work around my shifts. When I’m caring for pets in my client’s home, I follow their routine as closely as possible so their pet feels safe and comfortable. I stick to feeding schedules, walk times, playtime, and any special instructions you leave. I take the time to get to know each pet’s personality whether they’re playful, shy, or extra cuddly and make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and reassurance while you’re away. I also respect your space by keeping everything clean, secure, and exactly how you left it. When caring for pets in my own home, I have a fully fenced yard where dogs can play and explore safely. My dogs are kept in my garage during visits so your dog has full freedom to roam in the yard or, if they are an indoor dog, stay inside the house comfortably. I already have two dogs and a cat, so I’m used to managing different personalities and making sure everyone feels safe and happy. Walks, playtime, and lots of love are always part of the day. No matter where your pet is, my goal is always the same: to keep them safe, happy, and loved just like they’re part of my own family.
“Arianne house sat and watched Gracie for 7 days. She was amazing. She kept my home so neat, and she was so attentive to my old dog the entire time, keeping me up to date with photos and giving Gracie her medications exactly on time. She took her for frequent walks and was so patient with her because she walks so slowly! I could go on and on about how wonderful Arianne is - she’s honestly the best ever. Do your dog a favor and spoil them with Arianne.”
“Britny is my first Rover house and dog sitter experience and she did not disappoint. After recently losing my husband, I was nervous about having a stranger look after my 5 dogs and be in my home for a few days while I was traveling. Britny scheduled a meet-and-greet to discuss the scope of the house and dog sitting needs to assure both parties were a good match for one another. Upon arriving, she immediately connected with my dogs and put them at ease shortly after walking through the door. This rapport carried over to the official house sitting experience, and I could see how comfortable and loving the dogs were toward her in the daily photo and text updates she sent. She took on the individual care and feeding nuances for each dog seamlessly, and proactively reached out with any questions or concerns when she noticed something different with a dog’s comportment. She also took excellent care of the house while I was away and left it immaculate when she left. She went above and beyond by also coordinating someone to mow my lawn, which was tremendously helpful! I highly recommend Britny for multiple dog house holds and longer trips, and I will be using her again in the future.”
“July 16, 2026 I contacted Julianne when my current pet sitter had informed me she was moving. She was on time for our meet and greet as well as our departure time for our trip. She was in constant contact with me sending pictures of Bogey and informing me of how they were doing throughout our trip. Needless to say I was very happy how things were going. When we returned, Bogey was very happy and calm, our sheet and towels cleaned and replaced and the house was immaculate. I we’ll definitely use Julianne as my pet sitter again. Sharon H.”

About: What sets me apart as a sitter is that I’ve lived with animals my entire life and truly love caring for them. I have experience with both cats and dogs, and I understand their routines, personalities, and needs. I own cats, and many of my friends have dogs and cats that I’ve helped take care of, giving me hands-on experience with different temperaments. I’m patient, attentive, and reliable, and I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. Pet care is already a regular part of my daily and weekly routine. I care for my own pets every day, which includes feeding, cleaning, playtime, and making sure they are comfortable and safe. I plan my schedule around pet care, so I’m used to being consistent, on time, and attentive. Because of this, it’s easy for me to fit pet sitting, walking, and check-ins into my routine and give each pet the time and care they need. I care for pets by following their usual routines and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. In my home or a client’s home, I provide fresh food and water, regular walks or playtime, litter box or cleanup care, and lots of attention. I respect the owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications if needed, and house rules. I always keep the environment clean and make sure pets are supervised and never left feeling stressed or ignored.

Absolutely fabulous! Michele is a treasure

Over the years I have had several sitters, and I can honesty say that Madison is the BEST. I am a new mom and she watched our house and pets while we were all away on holiday for 5 days. She stayed in my home and went above and beyond! We were able to be worry free because she gave me photo and video updates throughout the day which was perfect! I would ask her to sit for me again in a heartbeat.

Julie always takes such great care of my little girl. She provides regular updates and photos, follows the instructions, and is respectful of the house. I will definitely use her again and would recommend her to anyone looking for a competent, compassionate house sitter.

Mikaela went above and beyond taking care of Artemis & Apollo. I only had a day trip planned to see my brother and of course both of my dogs decided to fall apart in the 18 hours I was gone. Mikaela was great with communication and really helped me out in an extremely stressful situation.

This is the second time Alexis has stayed at my home, and this time she sat both my resident Aussie, Max, and a foster dog, Marley. This was a big experiment since it was the first time Marley had stayed with a sitter. Alexis was incredible. She dealt with so much with the stressed and anxious foster dog while I was gone (potty accidents, giving medicine, cleaning up a broken glass he pulled off the counter, etc.). Marley is a bit of an escape artist, and she made sure he was safe the whole time and couldn’t sneak out. She also kept in regular communication with me which was essential for this stay. I’m so grateful for her care and effort while I was on my weeklong vacation! Thank you so much, Alexis! :)

Great communicator and very professional, I would highly recommend booking with Samantha. She is a rockstar!!! Our whole experience with her was super seamless. She really put a lot of effort to ensure our girls were comfortable and took such good care of our home too while we were on vacation for 2 weeks. We didn’t have to worry about anything since she always made us feel at ease with her attentiveness and regular updates. She also left our home clean and immaculate when we got back. Simply amazing!!!

I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for Cooper. Danielle kept in contact with me, sent pictures and answered my texts in quick time. Cooper was very happy. This was a 5 night stay in my home and the house was in perfect shape when we arrived. I would highly recommend her and will ask her again. It was a pleasure to know we could get away and not have to worry. Thank you, Danielle!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Camarillo walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Camarillo maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Camarillo choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
