Hello! I'm a professional dog handler with 4+ years of experience at a dog daycare and boarding facility and a lifetime of nonprofessional pet care (Currently own one pup). I normally manage large, mixed groups of 30 or more dogs daily at my day job. This includes hands on-experience for almost all breeds and sizes, from Shih Tzus to St. Bernards! I am confident and comfortable maintaining a safe, fun environment for your furry friends to enjoy while you are away on your next vacation or outing. Both in my professional work and a lifelong passion for animals, I've learned that great pet care is never one-size-fits-all. Many pets thrive with personalized, one-on-one attention, and my approach is always tailored to the individual pet which includes experience with: - puppies - senior care - disabled or special needs - reactive or anxious pets - high energy dog breeds The core of my pet care philisophy is that the best experience comes from three things - trust, transparency, and communication. I'm always happy to set up a meet / greet so we can make sure everyone is a right fit ☺️ I am also an aspiring pet photographer, so if you want me to try to take some high quality portraits of your pets I would be willing to at no extra charge. Note: I am also open to cats or other small animals, upon inquiry.

My background includes: - Medication administration (No IV) - Proven handling techniques for conflict prevention and de-escalation to keep dogs calm and happy. - Light first-aid (cuts, bites, hot spots, etc.) - Allergy Mediation (food, environnment)

If you can’t be with pets Alex is the next best option. In fact, I think his care was an upgrade to our dog’s and cat’s usual routine. They got way more walks and play in with Alex. Though we were away Alex kept us apprised of all the fun with text and photos. We recommend his loving care without reservation.
Alex was great! He’s clearly comfortable with all kinds of animals and really takes the time to win over their friendship. He even came equipped with treats during our first meeting. He is punctual, communicative and caring. My two huskies are high energy and a handful and I’m careful about who walks them but I trust Alex and they took to him immediately. Would definitely book again!
First time having Alex care for our pets and we are not disappointed; he was caring and thoughtful from throughout the entire process, from scheduling to taking care of the pets. Our dog is stubborn and very untrusting; he was patient with her until he earned her trust. Will not hesitate to have Alex take care of our pets in the near future.
I had a really great experience with Alex and would definitely recommend him. From the start, he was very thorough during our meet and greet—he took the time to go over everything and even wrote all my instructions down, which I really appreciated. While I was away, he sent daily updates with photos and detailed report cards through Rover, which made me feel so much better. I loved being able to see how Teddy and Luna were doing each visit and knowing they were being well taken care of. When I got home, they were happy and everything was just as it should be. It gave me a lot of peace of mind knowing they were in good hands. I would absolutely book with him again!
Alex took great care of my pups and my home while I was out of the country. I left with great peace of mind but he still sent many updates and photos throughout. Will use again! Thanks!

Schedule
I work at my day job in the late afternoon for a few hours so I have most of the day to hang out with your pawed pals! I am close to all of the fun places a dog loves - the dog park, the beach, etc. Whatever your pet's passions are, we will make a day of it (or multiple days if you want!)
