“Sheena took such good care of Mango. She went above and beyond most Rover hosts we have asked to take care of Mango in the past. She sent us so many videos and photos of Mango to us. Our Mango loved her kids and really enjoyed her time with them. In addition, it was a rainy day and Sheena washed and dried Mango’s sweater and also made sure Mango was dry from the rain. Would highly recommend and would book again.”

“Stephanie & Jennifer are super caring. They took such great care of our dog Sydney. They sent us daily pictures and videos with updates. We will definitely be using them again!”

“Tiantian was great with our 2 dogs. She met them before, was responsive, had a great setup at her house and sent sone status pictures and a video to let us see our loves.”

“Casey took wonderful care of my pup Reggie. She communicated throughout his overnight visit, sending photos and updates. Casey was quick to respond and was flexible to drop off and pick up times. My guy was happy and ready for a nap when I picked him up. I definitely recommend Casey.”

“Bridgette was a great sitter for our pet Ginger. She provided daily updates including photos and occasional videos of the day’s events. Our dog warmed up to her family quickly and enjoyed her time. If given the opportunity, we would welcome her to sit our dog again.”

“I can’t express how thankful I am. This was a new experience for me as a new pet owner, definetly the best choice I’ve could’ve made. Paola and her family were absolutely great to Dobby. Always kept me in touch while I was away with pictures and made me feel so in touch with my Dobby as well. Thank you guys :)”

“Maureen was a rockstar dog sitter! We will definitely be a repeat client if the opportunity arises. She was super responsive, asked questions, sent plenty of photos and kept us updated on Nala’s stay. I could tell Nala was very happy and at ease in her stay with Maureen—which means peace of mind for us! Definitely recommend for a home that is loving and dependable!”

“Sara did an amazing job taking care of our Golden Retriever, Ginger, while we were in San Diego. She was incredibly patient and attentive, and she kept us updated with regular photos of Ginger. Every picture showed how happy and well-cared-for our dog was, which gave us peace of mind during our trip. We truly appreciate Sara’s kindness and professionalism, and we highly recommend her to anyone looking for reliable and loving pet care. Thank you so much, Sara! 🙏🙏”

About: Update Feb 2026: I am now opening up my availability to board small dogs! I have a large backyard and work from home so your furry friend will get lots of attention throughout the day ❤️ I have had cats my entire life and love them endlessly. I currently have a 6.5 year old brother and sister duo who I adopted as kittens from the local animal shelter. Please keep in mind I have a traditional 9-5 and work from home. I can usually make early morning and evening drop ins work, but mid-day can be tricky for me. Also, rover is a true hobby turned side hustle for me. My availability can be a bit more limited because of that but I’m always willing to try to accommodate you and your pets needs!
“As always, we’re very comfortable leaving Jax with Jana. She does a great job in communicating with us while we are gone. Jax always seems happy & well-cared for when we pick him up. Thank you, Jana.”

“Jenna was fantastic! I was a bit nervous as it was my first time leaving my doggies in the care of someone else. Jenna was welcoming and trusting which allowed me to feel confident in leaving my doggies for a few days. Doggies ended up loving it over at Jenna's! I was shocked to see that my little diva poodle mix warmed up to her and the other doggies there! Definitely will book with Jenna again! I highly recommend!”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover and proud dog mom to two pups—one who’s always ready for an adventure and one who’s all about cuddles, so I totally get that every dog has their own personality and needs. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to sweet senior dogs who need a little extra patience and love. “Caitlin and her family were great! Our pup Rosie was happy and well taken care of. It was such a relief to find them after our old dog sitter retired after 14 years. Rosie is 15 years old and we were worried about such an old dog having to adjust to something new. We didn’t need to worry about her at all. She was great! Lots of pictures and texts from Caitlin were so comforting. We will definitely use Caitlin again!”

“Erika was fantastic! She was willing to take on a mischievous puppy when no one else wanted her. She took her on outings and had faith in her. I believe Marley came home better behaved. I will definitely use Erika again. Plus she was super responsive whenever we contacted her.”

Nancy keeps Murphy anytime we’re in need of someone we can trust and we love her! The entire time on my trip I received updates, photos of my baby playing at the park, & videos of her being spoiled with pup cups (way more than she gets spoiled at home). Murphy got a little sad/confused the first couple days we were gone and Nancy handled it with so much love and compassion. I know she is in great hands with Nancy every time.

Highly recommend! She and her boys took such great care of my dog and made him feel right at home. Communication was excellent and she sent updates that really put my mind at ease. My dog also loved playing with their dog Ody, which made the stay even more fun for him. It’s clear they genuinely care about the dogs they watch. I would absolutely book with them again!

Samantha is a really nice lady, she and her family took care of my Benji very well. She let my 5m+ Benji go to her home twice to get familiar with her family before real boarding started. They walked and trained my dog, I felt him growing and learning a lot after the 11 days spent with Samantha. Highly recommended!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
