We reached out for a last-minute dog sitter over the holidays for our 8-year-old small terrier mix, Zazu. Zazu can be a little bossy and defensive with other dogs, which we gave them a heads up about since they have a big dog at home. Julie and Scott did an AMAZING job integrating Zazu into their home life and making her feel comfortable with them and their sweet dog, Snacks. They sent lots of wonderful photos, videos, and updates - including videos of Zazu playing happily with Snacks! Julie and Scott are both so friendly and warm, it's no surprise that Zazu felt comfortable with them immediately. They took her on many walks and let her cuddle with them in bed to sleep at night. About: About 3 years ago, I moved to California specifically to live with a close friend who had just become a flight attendant to help take care of her two dogs and two cats while she was away for work. Since she traveled often, I became a big part of their everyday care… feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, keeping them company, and of course giving them lots of love. I even took them to a little trip with me to Joshua tree, which they enjoyed very much! One of her cats also had asthma, so I learned to be extra attentive to her needs and helped with taking her to vet appointments when needed. I’ve also helped other friends with house sitting, dog walking, and caring for their pets while they were away or out of town. I genuinely love animals and know how important it is to have someone you trust taking care of your fur babies. I’ll always make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and get plenty of love and attention while you’re away 🤍🐾 I may be new to Rover, but caring for pets has been a big part of my life for the last few years, and I’d love to care for yours too! I do work full-time in the hotel industry as a front desk supervisor, and do 8-hour shifts. My schedule varies throughout the week, but I’m available before and after work, on my days off, and for drop-ins or walks. For house sitting, I’m happy to stay overnight and care for your fur baby before and after my shift. I’ll always be upfront about my schedule so we can make sure it’s the right fit for your pet! I know every fur baby has their own personality and routine, so I like to learn what makes them feel most comfortable before you leave. Whether that means a specific feeding schedule, their favorite walking route, extra playtime, or just having someone nearby to keep them company, I’m happy to follow their normal routine. About: I've had dogs and cats my entire life I currently have two dogs a cat 4 parakeets 4 love birds a hamster and a fish. I'm an animal lover I currently work from home caring for a special needs sister. I'm free throughout the day and evening. I have a very open schedule and love to walk. About: Dog sat for a few coworkers a few years ago. Dog sat for my coworkers this year for a few weeks at a time. Had a few pet cats growing up as a child. I work dayshift during the week. Wow… i don’t even know where to start! Mystique, Richard and their amazing daughter Milan welcomed our dog Cooper with open arms into their home. They were an incredibly kind family and i felt very safe with cooper in their care. They watched Cooper during our wedding weekend and went above and beyond to make sure we had a stress free weekend. they even brought cooper to our wedding ceremony AND rehearsal the night before for us. Auntie Layla, as she is known in our house, is amazing. She and her family have taken care of Finley many times, and he is so excited every time we pull up to the front of her house. His latest visit to Auntie Layla's was for two weeks when we were traveling. He became ill and Layla kept us informed from the very start, made sure he went to the vet and received the care he needed, and managed his medication as part of his follow up care. When we got back he was almost back to 100% of his spunky self. We are so grateful for Layla and her family for caring for him so beautifully and for knowing we have a place for Finley when we go away where he is loved and cared for like he would be at home. Gretchen was wonderful! She watched our cat and dog while we backpacked the Channel Islands.
