I needed a last minute one night sitting for my dog Lola and I found Annie as our usual sitters were gone for the long Thanksgiving weekend. Annie was really nice and her home was clean and inviting. Our meet and greet went well with Lola being a little nervous as usual for first time meets. I drop off Lola Saturday morning and everything seems ok. As time goes on I realized that I have no updates so I message Annie in the afternoon to check on my dog’s status and that’s when I’m told that Lola isn’t warming up so they put her in a corral. I received a photo of her in the corral as well. Lola is a non aggressive dog and in our home she’s part of the family roaming the whole house so to be told that she’s not warming up and placed in a corral was a little concerning. We sleep it off and in the morning we hit the road to pick up Lola in the agreed times between 11:30-1. I gave a 30 min heads up on arrival. I am messaged by Annie that she isn’t home and that her husband (who I never was told was also sitting or involved) should be there. I get there and ring the doorbell multiple times with no response and I message Annie multiple times with no response so my family and I decide to wait outside their home for a good 30 mins until her husband arrived. Her husband keeps explaining to me what he thinks is going on with my dog and that she wasn’t a fan of his. Meanwhile, Lola is still in the corral alone when they knew about the pick up time. Lola has never had any issues with previous sits and the longest she’s had was 6 days while we were on vacation. I am mostly upset that it felt as if she was ignored and Rover is used as a business with lack of care to the pet. I guess I’ve been lucky to have previous dog loving and professional dog sitters.

First time rover booker here using Annie C and I couldn’t have been more happier. I was kept up to date on my pups. What I love the most is that she has a backyard so my dogs got to enjoy a yard while I was away. I would definitely book again. Thank you Annie for taking care of my pups.

Annie is a very nice lady she provided the best care for my dog. Very loving, and caring toward our Maggie I fully recommend her pet care services to anyone.

Annie was professional, flexible, and easy to work with. I have no doubt my dog was comfortable staying with her.

We don’t need a dog sitter often, but Annie is our “Go to” sitter. We have three dogs that can be loud and demanding, but she had them comfortable and relaxed in minutes. They’ve had experience with Pit Bulls and Dobermans, and nothing our (initially cautious and frightened) dogs did bothered them. Lots of dog toys too to keep them occupied! A definite find in Oxnard.
