“We wouldn't choose anyone else besides Jay! They made our pups' stay feel like an amazing vacation while we were away. Jay sent us updates and beautiful photos, and it was evident that our pups were loving the time with Jay and being well taken care of. We highly recommend Jay to anyone and would definitely book with them again!”

“I can't say enough great things Todd and Febronia! I had a long trip to Alaska and had to leave my pup for 10 days and it was so clear the love they had for dogs and how much they loved Leo. It is refreshing to know I have a safe and fun place for Leo to go and be confident he is enjoying his time. They have a great yard for the dogs to roam. Thank you so much for your attentiveness and love for my boy! We will be back!”

“Cat was great with my "Cat- Pete" I enjoyed the photos she sent me of him "Birdwatching". It really let me know he was having a vacation at her home, while we were on our vacation! I instantly felt her love for Pete the moment we arrived for our meet-up visit! I would recommend Cat to be your pet sitter too!”

“We had a wonderful experience and would give more than 5 stars if we could! Our dog was so comfortable and happy during her stay, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. “Sheena took such good care of Mango. She went above and beyond most Rover hosts we have asked to take care of Mango in the past. She sent us so many videos and photos of Mango to us. Our Mango loved her kids and really enjoyed her time with them. In addition, it was a rainy day and Sheena washed and dried Mango’s sweater and also made sure Mango was dry from the rain. Would highly recommend and would book again.”

“I give Sara 10 stars. Read the other positive reviews. They are all true. Kiki-Sweet Girl has special needs. Sara keeps her feeling so happy and feeling safe. We did a sample one-night boarding and are continuing with weekly recurring daycare and with multiple night boarding when we travel. Kiki loves Sara so much. Kiki also loves Sara's pup, Casper. No only does Sara do magic with communications with dogs and people, but she has exceptional skills in getting doggies to listen to her and to try their best for her. You will not be disappointed if you get Sara to be one of your dog's special people.”

“Steph and Jen were amazing. This was Ollie’s 1st experience boarding at someone elses house. Ollie is a sweet but shy dog so didn’t know how he would react since we were gone for 5 days. He played well with Lexi and pictures of Olllie were sent daily. I am very satisfied and Ollie was well taken care of. I would have Steph and Jen watch Ollie in the future😊”

“Stefanie and her husband were fantastic. My dog was well cared for and I received pictures and status updates frequently. I highly recommend boarding your dog Stefanie, she treated my dog like family.”

“We booked Chris to watch our two mini aussies while we were in town for a wedding, and we are so appreciative of his care and communication. 100% would book again. Thank you Chris!”

“It was our first time boarding our 3 ½ year old Rat-Chi and we couldn’t have been happier to find Mariana. We knew our dog would have separation anxiety and Mariana and her husband Mark were such a comfort to our dog Ernie…and to my husband Bert who also had his own separation anxiety ;). Ernie had a blast meeting her corgis as well as the other dogs whom she was dog sitting that week. He paws-itively loved being part of her pack! She gave us updates and sent photos throughout his 9-day stay. Mariana’s love for dogs of all shapes, sizes and demeanor make her a rare gem. To Ernie, they are friends fur-ever.”

“Cheryl is absolutely wonderful! She took the best care of our dog Dakota while we were out of town for 5 days. She sent many updates, photos, and videos during Dakota’s stay that put us at ease while we were on our trip. We are so glad to have found such a caring, sweet, and loving sitter for our dog. We will definitely rebook with Cheryl the next time we’re out of town!”

“Claudia is not only our favorite but our dogs favorite. Briggs, our dog, loves her and can’t wait to see her when we pull up to her house. She is compassionate and thoughtful. We get regular picture updates and texts about how he is doing. He is also in love with her two pups. We are lucky to have Claudias help, she is kind and responsible. Thank you.”

“Rachel took wonderful care of my dog Layla! She and her grandkids loved having Layla to play with and sleep with! They made sure she took her daily medicine and fed her twice a day and took her for walks too. She sent me photos of Layla and her activities and included texts with updates on how Layla was doing! I could tell that Layla had a good time with them because she was happy and well-rested when we brought her home.”

Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
