Not only have I had pets my whole life and worked for numerous families and friends caring for their pets, but I have professional experience caring for all types of animals. A few of the organizations that I have volunteered for are the Humane Society, Santa Barbara Zoo, and the Santa Barbara Marine Mammal Center. That being said, if you have a critter other than a dog or cat and need a sitter for them, I can help so please reach out and we can discuss! My home is a few miles from the beach and I take dog walks there often. We go on outings to nearby dog-friendly parks (Camino Real and Arroyo Verde are the favorites) and absolutely love to go hiking in our beautiful mountains, so you can be confident that your dog will get some quality outdoors time, whether they need a long walk or a good game of fetch! I am more than happy to take energetic pooches to off-leash parks if the owner and I both feel comfortable with the dog's recall and safety. Between outings, your dog will have the house and yard available as well as lots of attention from our family which includes myself, my husband, our 2 young kids, and our playful 30 lb dog, Sombra. There is plenty of room to run around! We have a backyard that is fully fenced as well as an open space of the living room with a box full of dog toys that always ends up being the puppy play area :) I guarantee your dog will love their time staying in a house with a yard and the beach and park close by. I will treat your pup like my own with lots of love and follow any specific guidelines you have for your pet regarding diet, leashes, exercise needs, training, preferred sleeping arrangements, allowed on furniture, etc. I will also send updates and photos during your dog’s stay. Walks and park visits are a daily part of my routine as are playing fetch in the backyard. On the weekends I like to to take the dogs on other adventures such as on hikes or to the beach. For dogs that feel more comfortable having a crate available inside the home for resting or sleeping, you can bring your own or we can provide one.

About: I’ve taken care of medium-large dogs for the last 5 years. I’ve trained a puppy and feel very comfortable caring for them and know how important it is to get them out for their walks. I have 4 days off a week (varying days) that I’m very willing to spend time walking and visiting dogs. I enjoy runs myself so if the dogs are up for it we could go or just sit on the couch and relax. I can’t care for pets in my home as I only live in a studio, but I have lived in a house with a fenced in yard where dogs would go out. I have lived in an apartment with a puppy and got very used to going out frequently and running around at the dog parks

About: About 3 years ago, I moved to California specifically to live with a close friend who had just become a flight attendant to help take care of her two dogs and two cats while she was away for work. Since she traveled often, I became a big part of their everyday care… feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, keeping them company, and of course giving them lots of love. I even took them to a little trip with me to Joshua tree, which they enjoyed very much! About: I have had dogs my whole life, but truly love all pets! I started pet sitting when I was about 12 for my neighbor. Since moving from home, I have had various dog sitting and dog walking jobs. I love any type or size of pet, and would absolutely love to care for yours! I am unavailable Monday through Thursday form 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm. Any time outside of that block, I am happy to help! From my childhood home, my dogs have always have free-reign of the house and backyard. They tend to chose the backyard more when it's not too hot.
