“Catherine took care of my senior dog Lovie this weekend while I was out of town for a funeral. She immediately made me feel comfortable leaving my little girl with her during this emotional time. She sent me pictures while I was gone, of my doggie on a walk and also of her sleeping peacefully. I would absolutely use her services again and will the next time I need it. I highly recommend her.”

“Todd and Rona did an amazing job with Philly! They cared for him like he was their own pup. We had a great experience from our meet and greet to drop off and pick up. Philly got along great with the other dogs there too, and loved their backyard. He came home tired and happy which was perfect. I would highly recommend them as sitters and know we will rebook with them when we’re in the area in the future.”

“Sandra is a wonderful care giver for my furry buddy!! Mr. Bubs was loved, spoiled, and treated like he is family. Sandra sent me pics while I was on my trip, and it was obvious he was having a great time! I highly recommend Sandra, and she's top of my list for next time I need to have my puppies taken care of while I'm out of town!”

About: We are a pet-centered family. Fur babies have been at the heart of our home for over 20 years. We've rescued dogs and cats across various stages of life, some with special needs, and loved them well into their senior years. We provide personalized care, tailored to the specific needs of your pet. Whether it's adhering to the dietary requirements of their meals, administering medication, or modifying walks and play to accommodate any physical limitations or developmental needs. We’re conveniently located near 101, making for an easy drop off and pickup. Animals of all types tend to gravitate to me. I'm patient and playful. If they just need a calm presence to cuddle with or a buddy to play fetch and get their zoomies out, I adapt to the needs of your pet. Our home is filled to the brim with a love for pets and their care. My wife leads a community for pet parents and my daughter is a future vet who makes every animal she meets her best friend and desires to rescue as many she can. I'm a retired engineer and my wife works from home. Pets are family and our schedules are adjusted accordingly to ensure they are not alone. I love nature and giving pets the opportunity to relax and play where they feel the most comfortable. We can walk the park grounds right outside our door, relax on the deck, or snuggle on the couch. We can also hop in the Jeep and go exploring if they prefer. Every pet is different and my goal is to always meet them right where they are.
“I give Sara 10 stars. Read the other positive reviews. They are all true. Kiki-Sweet Girl has special needs. Sara keeps her feeling so happy and feeling safe. We did a sample one-night boarding and are continuing with weekly recurring daycare and with multiple night boarding when we travel. Kiki loves Sara so much. Kiki also loves Sara's pup, Casper. No only does Sara do magic with communications with dogs and people, but she has exceptional skills in getting doggies to listen to her and to try their best for her. You will not be disappointed if you get Sara to be one of your dog's special people.”

About: I have over a decade of experience handling dogs of all shapes, sizes and needs. Specializing in active pullers, rescues, and reactive dogs. I am comfortable and proficient with a variety of training equipment to fit your dogs needs and your specific training protocols. By scanning the environment for triggers and monitoring your dog's body language I'm able to ensure a safe calm experience. Every dog deserves a chance to get the mental and physical stimulation they need to thrive. Dividing my time between dog training and volunteering at a local animal shelter let's me set my own schedule. Looking for extra dogs to walk to make up for the miles I can no longer put in with my senior Malinois. I have a securely fenced private yard for your dogs to play and multiple dog crates to provide each dog a secure place to rest. Leon my 10 yr old Malinois provides a calmly reassuring energy that helps guest dogs settle in.
“Jen and Stephanie were amazing with my Jack Russell. The space for the dogs outside is super secure and both Jen and Stephanie are so sweet with my pup. He’s a typical Jack Russell and his energy is unmatched- when I picked him up he was happy and cheerful like he was on vacation there :). Will def have Vincent stay with Jen and Stephanie again. Ten out of ten”

“Chris is the most incredible dog sitter I have ever worked with! He has a very calming and gentle energy about him. He lives in a safe and secure building and was really great about giving us updated of our dog and also sending pictures during his stay with him. Our dog had absolutely fallen in love with him and was eager to literally give him a hug before coming back home with us. We love and appreciate, Chris- you and your dog will too! We 1,000,000% recommend him!”

“Kay is awesome. My pups liked her right away, and our boy Moose snuggled with her at night. They also enjoyed her yard, it was the perfect size for two 10lb dogs. Our girl loved playing frisbee on the grass. Moose liked to sniff and explore. We would highly recommend Kay.”

“Sheena took such good care of Mango. She went above and beyond most Rover hosts we have asked to take care of Mango in the past. She sent us so many videos and photos of Mango to us. Our Mango loved her kids and really enjoyed her time with them. In addition, it was a rainy day and Sheena washed and dried Mango’s sweater and also made sure Mango was dry from the rain. Would highly recommend and would book again.”

“Steph was great with my dogs. She was flexible and understanding to my dogs individual needs. She is wonderful and very easy to work with! I look forward to booking with her again soon.”

About: I'm a gigantic dog lover. I'm active and love a good long walk every morning and night - and a pooch pup to go with me. I'm super responsible and attentive to all dogs needs (is it too hot outside? are they thirsty?) I've personally owned a reactive dog for over 14 years and learned the needs of a senior dog to make the comfortable. I'm patient and loving. No kids - prefer dogs! I'm an early riser and love to start the day with a good brisk walk. I love walking and will go for a good hour if thats what your dog likes (active breeds welcome). My home is calm and mellow and so after a morning walk it's a relax coffee and breakfast with pup hanging out in our back garden. My office opens our back deck and so pup is free to come in and out all day long. Later afternoon walks follow a work day, I like to go to different spots to keep it interesting. Your pup will have a companion all day. I have a fully fenced yard and would hang with your dog all day! Love an office companion and will tow their dog bed to whatever room in the house I am in!
“They were awesome, and I mean AWESOME! Nice safe space, fenced in yard, quiet neighborhood. I felt guilty taking back my dog from their kids, I could tell they gave my Ziggy so much love, and didn't want him to go even. Wonderful family, I will be back for sure.”

About: I treat every pet like family and make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you're away. I have experience with both puppies and senior pets, including reinforcing basic training, sticking to routines, administering medications, and providing extra patience and care when needed. “Kelsey dropped in and cared for our cat while we were on a cruise. We were able to set up a meet and greet beforehand which gave us peace of mind. Kelsey sent a lot of pictures of our cat which we appreciated. Kelsey was very attentive to our cats needs, highly recommend!”

“Perla is amazing. She didn't miss a beat when I gave her the wrong house key. My cats warmed up to her right away. Her demeanor was so calm and lovely. I will certainly be contacting her in the future.”

“Leanna and her partner were amazing! We got our kitten the week before we were going to be gone for a quick weekend getaway, so were worried about leaving her in the house. Leanna checked in on Fawn twice and was very communicative, sent pictures and videos, and overall, ensured our trip was stress free! Fawn loved playing with Leanna and her partner, and we will definitely be booking with Leanna in the future!”

Always kept us updated which helped reassure us our house and pets were safe Would recommend her to anyone!”

About: Hi there! I'm a college graduate currently living in Ventura that can take care of whatever your dogs need. I recently completed my Master's degree in Animal Behavior, so you can trust that I have the knowledge and background to take care of any animal's need. While I completed my undergraduate and graduate degrees, I was employed by several families to pet-sit and walk their dogs, so I have plenty of experience and am comfortable with any type of dog (even extremely energetic ones). I can feed, walk, bathe, groom, clean up after, and administer medicine to the pets if necessary. I have two cats, one large German Shepherd, and a tortoise and gecko myself, so I have experience with those animals specifically, but I also am familiar with caring for my mom's horses so I can take care of a wide range of animals. I can also perform any simple house-sitting tasks (watering plants, collecting newspapers, etc.). I hope you'll trust me with your furry (or scaly) friend :) As my main job (wildlife technician work) is seasonal, when I am in town I am available for pet care 100% of the time with no other obligations. Families have previously entrusted me to spend lots of time at their house while they were away, so I am entirely comfortable to keep your pets company in case they have any attachment or anxiety issues.

About: I love cats and their energy! I’ve had pet cats in the past that I rescued from shelters and even aided in adoption situations with neighborhood strays. I basically melt into a puddle anytime I’m around a cat.

“We were very happy with Hersh and his care for our small dog Sophie. Sophie was calm and relaxed when we picker her up unlike a previous stay at a kennel for small dogs. Hersh sent us a picture of Sophie relaxing on the couch and I could tell she was enjoying herself and was content. Good job. We would definitely use Hersh again if we are traveling in the area.”

“Sara saved our trip! We were camping in the area and planned a day out at the Channel Islands NP (not dog-friendly). Our original doggy sitter canceled on us two days before and we scrambled to find someone last minute. It was a blessing in disguise. Sara is the absolute sweetest! Communication was excellent. She updated us throughout the day with photos and kept our girl busy with playtime, a walk, and a hike. She was able to administer medication too. I can’t say enough good things! Thank you, Sara!”

“I cannot thoroughly explain how grateful I am that Lexie agreed to watch my boy for me; we had met with another sitter months in advance who agreed to our pick up and drop off times at the meet and greet, but decided to cancel on me a few hours before! Beyond flustered and upset I was panicking, but Lexie came to the rescue but not only that, she provided Oliver a safe place to interact with other dogs. 🥹🧡 She provided updates with pictures to let me know my baby was safe and being watched. if you’re looking for a sitter who is reliable and will love your dog like their own, I highly recommend Lexie. I will be using her again in the future.”

“Kelsey is my #1 go-to dog sitter. My clingy heeler is always so excited to visit her. He can smell her neighborhood from out of the window and he starts barking on our way down the street to her house. She is understanding, flexible, kind, and she genuinely loves dogs. She also understands heelers and herding breeds, which is a huge plus in my book. 100000% recommend her. I'm a paranoid dog owner and I'm very selective about all of the choices I make for him. I'm always at ease knowing he is with her.”

My neighbors, family, friends, and even people who I’ve been recommended to have put their trust in me with their pets. I have even let sat for my neighbor who’s elderly Labrador dog’s two back legs don’t function correctly. I am prepared for anything and everything :) I am a full time student at the University of Southern California Monday-Thursday, but I have times where I don’t have classes. Just message me and majority of the time I will be free! Friday-Sunday I don’t have school and I am usually free the entire day. At home I have a 6 year old male Golden Retriever who needs to be walked and fed multiple times throughout the day. At clients house, I usually tend to check in with the dogs throughout my day, stay overnight at the house, or even board them at my house. I make sure that they’re fed, let out to go potty, and even give them the love/attention they need.

“Breann is AMAZING! She responded right away, she has flexible availability which is perfect for my schedule and Waffles loved her immediately. I feel so relieved knowing my girl is getting the love and care she deserves!”

“Ari is a gem. Great personality, grounded, responsible and kind. Dogs have a sixth sense. When my Sofi ran into the house to greet me after her walk to say I’m back she immediately returned to Ari for some rubs. I knew then I was totally comfortable giving my sweet girl’s care to Ari. Three walks done and many more planned. Thank you, Ari, for making Sofi’s life better. She loves her walks.”

“Maya was fantastic!! She was excellent to work with, handling our dog with ease and experience, also very communicative, and our dog was very relaxed and trusting with her. We will be using her definitely as our dog walker, and I recommend you check her out as well, and you will not be disappointed! Happy holidays to all.”

About: I have been loving dogs (and all furry creatures) my whole life. I married an equal dog lover. We spent our honeymoon traveling to Costa Rica's Territio de Zaguates ("Land of the Strays"). We have two small children who are respectful of animals. I worked for an emergency vet hospital and have years of experience volunteering at rescues/pet sitting. I always promise to love your dog as they are one of my pack members. Leaving your pet with someone new can be scary; especially those new to Rover. I am happy to provide references to hear from families that have trusted me with their pets. I am a full time mom with a pretty flexible schedule. Please let me know your pet’s regular schedule and I can confirm my availability. I do my best to follow a pet’s normal everyday routine. I have experience with a variety of breeds and understand each dog is different. I follow your dog's lead with what they are comfortable with. Our home is pet - friendly! I do not let dogs off leash unless owner notes otherwise and it is a secure location. I do not leave pets unsupervised with my children or pets. I have experience and knowledge to keep a pet safe at all times.

“Lennea has been walking our dog, Rudder, and we couldn’t be happier with her services. She is incredibly reliable and punctual; always arriving on time for each scheduled walk. Her friendly and communicative nature makes it easy to coordinate with her, and she’s always willing to accommodate even our last-minute reservation requests. Lennea’s dedication and love for dogs are evident in the way she interacts with Rudder. We trust her completely, knowing that Rudder is in good hands during their walks. We highly recommend Lennea to anyone in need of a dependable and caring dog walker.”

“Carolyn is great! She responded quickly, and came for a meet and greet right away! One of my pups was a brat, but Carolyn made sure they were ok and communicated about both of her visits with our pups. So grateful to have found her!”

“jacquelyn was great! dropped my dog off to her for the weekend and received multiple updates each day. especially appreciated the photos and videos! when i picked up my dog he seemed to have had a good time ˙ᵕ˙”

“Really appreciate Cooper & Nora! They kept us updated and were honest about how our girl was doing. Very nice people that have created a great environment for our dog.”

“Ruby loves staying with Momo, Bethany and Siddhartha! They always take such good care of her- this last time she came down with an ear infection the day I was due to drop her off. They helped administer her medication and took great care of her. Ruby has so much fun she sleeps for days after coming home ☺️”

“I had zero concerns having Bax stay with Matt and Stefanie. He was safe, having fun, and well-looked after. They treat your pet as if they are one of their own. Will absolutely be using their services again!”

“Kaye watched our dog for about 4 days. It was our first time using a rover, so Kaye happily did a meet & greet prior to our dogs stay. Kaye has 2 dogs herself, both were easy going and friendly. She has a great fenced in backyard with some trees shade, turf and caged chickens for dog viewings. Kaye sent photos and was responsive.”

“My Teddy Bear enjoyed his stay at Amber's house! He had a ball running around in her big, fenced in backyard and playing with her two girls! Teddy also enjoyed a nature walk! Amber's home is comfortable and she provided a very nice stay for my pup. She even gave me fresh eggs from her chickens! I highly recommend Amber and would not hesitate to use her again!”

“We always know Sage is in the best of hands with Jess and her family! She is our number 1 favorite dog sitter. What I really appreciate is the varied photos and updates we get from Jess that show us what they are up to (walks, naps, playtime etc). Thank you again!”

“Misty and her family took excellent care of Greta. I would definitely recommend and have complete confidence with Greta staying over in the future. The daily photos were great and added to our confidence and comfort.”
