“Tai did an amazing job watching my kitties!! She happens to be sisters with my prior Rover sitter, so it was a seamless transition :) tai was punctual, paid excellent attention to my babies and was very respectful of my space. I highly recommend her and will likely book again!”

“My husband and I highly recommend Peggy. We have 2 cats, and one is very anxious and she ALWAYS runs away when people come over… but not when Peggy came over to meet them on Friday, before we left for our trip. I was shocked when Althea didn’t bolt, and she also got down from the top level of the cat tree and sat down in the living room to observe and listen as we talked with Peggy. 1st time, ever, so it was a direct response to Peggy’s calm and friendly energy We had to attend a friend’s wedding near San Diego, and felt very confident that our “kids” were in very capable hands. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED”

“Bethany and Siddhartha took great care of our cat Waylon while we were away. Waylon was in great shape and clearly well cared for when we got back. Thank you so much! Would hire again.”

About: With 12 years managing a nonprofit animal rescue, I bring hands-on experience in both daily care and veterinary needs. I’m confident with all breeds, sizes, and temperaments, including special needs pets—your furry family is safe with me! While house sitting, I do work Thursday–Monday and am off Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I usually head out around 6:30–7am, but I have flexibility in my schedule and can sometimes work from home. I make sure all pets are well cared for with plenty of attention, exercise, and love before and after my workday. I know how important it is for pets to feel safe in their own home. I do my best to keep everything consistent—from feeding and walks to their favorite cuddle spots. Whether your pet needs extra attention, quiet companionship, or lots of snuggles, I’m there to make their time without you as stress-free as possible.
About: I've been taking care of animals since I was a child. I had two senior dogs of my own that I have had since they were both puppies. Two older cats and one kitten have made it into our lives. I used to work at a doggy daycare center where I would watch, feed, and bathe any dog there. I currently work at a vet clinic and can administer any medications necessary for your pets health. I currently work full-time at a vet clinic in Ventura. I work from 7:40am to 5pm. I can do boarding and sitting any day of the week as long as you give me a few days notice. For walk-ins and drop-ins, I am also available in the morning before 7am and after 5pm. If you reside in Ventura I can provide a midday drop in or walk as well. I have a fenced in backyard with plenty of room for your fur babies to roam around. If your pet needs any kind of medication or any special care, I will be more than happy to be able to do that for you while you are away.
About: We’ve taken care of dogs & cats since we were young. We would house sit for friends and family. We’ve grown up around pets all our lives and we will treat your babies like our own! Thomas works night shifts and is able to come sit or check in on your fur baby during the day. Veronica works during the day and is able to check in during the evening. We have senior dogs ourselves so unfortunately we can’t spend 24 hours with your baby but we can check in and hang out anytime. We can take care of your babies at your homes with walks, letting them outside in the back yard whatever their needs may be we have handled it before.
About: Having worked in dog and cat boarding and veterinary care, I am well acquainted with the specialized care and dedication that our domesticated friends require. I have worked with senior dogs, I am comfortable administering medication and following complex instructions, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with and providing quality care for animals. Additional Animals: I not only have years of experience working with domesticated dogs and cats, but I also possess a degree in Exotic Animal Training and Management and have worked with many species of birds, small mammals, and reptiles- including snakes and turtles. Other skills: I have experience with basic obedience training. I can provide stimulating and fun enrichment to occupy your pets. I am punctual, reliable, and honest. I am currently working part-time, so I am flexible to your needs. My availability is pretty open for home visits and walks during the day. Every pet family has their own routine, and I am fully capable of caring for your animals exactly as you prefer: preparing meals, companionship, walks, administering enrichment and/or medication, and potentially basic training.
“Ali was great! Our cat seemed to warm up to her pretty quick. Great communication on and off the app. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter. Thanks again, we plan on booking with her again this Summer.”

About: I’m very passionate when it comes to animals and pets. I have patience, I pay close attention to detail, and have a genuine love for animals. I have experience in caring for high energy pets. I plan my schedule around feeding times, walks, playtime, and any specific needs each pet has. I stay consistent so pets feel comfortable and less stressed while their owners are away. Our pets are our family, they bring us the joy and love we sometimes don’t even realize we’re missing. They are just babies and should always be treated as priority!
“Wendy drop in two days for my two French bulldogs. She took it very well and took very good care of them as well. I would definitely rebook and recommend her to anyone who is looking to have an awesome pet sitter. Thanks again Wendy!!”

About: What sets me apart is the combination of real dog-mom experience, a deep passion for animal welfare, and years of caring for dogs of all ages and personalities. I’ve cared for puppies, energetic adults, and senior dogs who need extra patience and support. I’m comfortable with all types of breeds and temperaments, and I focus on giving each dog exactly what they need—whether that’s playtime, routine, comfort, or calm companionship. Beyond pet sitting, I’ve also hosted adoption events and built a network with local shelters, including supporting dogs on euthanasia lists by helping them find safe placements. This work has taught me how to read behavior, build trust quickly, and provide gentle, loving care to dogs who may be anxious or shy. My background as a previous dog mom helps me understand how important peace of mind is. I care for every dog with the same attention, love, and safety I wanted for my own. Your pup isn’t just watched—they’re truly cared for. I work full-time Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, but pet care fits naturally into my evenings and weekends. I do work from home 4 days a week and can drop in during the day if needed as well. I’m available for visits after work, as well as throughout the weekends, and I make sure each pet gets my full attention, consistency, and care during those times. My schedule allows me to provide reliable support for families who need evening check-ins, weekend care, or flexible coverage outside standard work hours. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine consistent and their environment comfortable. I follow all feeding, walking, playtime, and medication instructions exactly as provided. I make sure water bowls stay fresh, food areas and litter or potty spaces remain clean, and the home is left tidy after each visit. I pay close attention to behavior, energy levels, and overall well-being, and I provide regular updates so you always know how your pet is doing. My priority is to ensure your pet feels safe, relaxed, and cared for in the space they trust most—their own home.

Making sure your dog gets the attention and love they deserve! In my home, I make sure pets feel safe and comfortable with cozy spaces, regular walks, playtime, and lots of attention. “Daniella did a fantastic job with our puppy during her drop in visits! She kept us in the loop with cute pictures and updates. Followed all instructions and went above and beyond to work on training and brushing. Would highly recommend!”

“Ariana went over and beyond in taking care of our Chasey Boy, she walked him, played with him and even bathed him before we got back home. Chasey misses her and we are forever grateful ☺️”

Tai did an amazing job watching my kitties!! She happens to be sisters with my prior Rover sitter, so it was a seamless transition :) tai was punctual, paid excellent attention to my babies and was very respectful of my space. I highly recommend her and will likely book again!

Richelle is the best sitter, she’s incredibly kind and thoughtful when it comes to animals. She took great care to make sure our cats and fish had everything they would need while we were away. Additionally, she went above and beyond. We will definitely continue using her services in the future. Thank you, Richelle!

Nykie was incredibly reliable, communicative, and thoughtful the entire visits. I received frequent updates, photos that showed just how comfortable, happy, and well-loved my puppy was. I highly recommend Nykie to anyone looking for someone they can truly trust with their pets. I will absolutely be booking again!

Sarah took excellent care of my dog. She gave us so much peace of mind on our trip and it was honestly like we never left. Our dog obviously had a wonderful few days of drop in care with Sarah and we will be contacting her again in the future for more care. Thank you, Sarah!

Ariela is outstanding! First she was able to come last minute, second she was able to handle the instructions of my automatic cat feeder (which can be finicky & slightly complicated) and third she came on time! My cat is also super shy but warmed up to her and came out of hiding. Ariela is great with communication, friendly and reliable. She watched my cat for 5 days. I feel very confident and comfortable leaving my pets with her for an extended period of time. I would book with her again in a heartbeat! She gets the human and paw seal of approval!

Cori was amazing! She looked after my cat, Maple, for two weeks and did such a great job. She visited regularly, played with Maple, and kept her happy and comfortable the whole time. She even took care of my houseplants without me asking. I totally recommend Cori and will definitely book her again in the future.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
