“Cheryl did a fantastic job with my elderly kitty. She was very detailed and responsive, responsible and thorough with everything from communication to caring for a challenging feline. She willingly learned and took extra time to learn how to administer subcutaneous fluids and ear gel medication to my hyperthyroid/kidney failure 20 yr old kitty. I was pleasantly surprised to come home to a clean house in regards to litter box area and kitchen counters, etc. She was wonderful about cleaning up any mess Max made and informed me of his behavior. I very much appreciated the extra pictures and details of her visits. She was very respectful of my home and took great care of Max. I would highly recommend Cheryl!”
About: I’m reliable and trustworthy, with experience caring for a variety of pets, from small dogs to active 1-year-old labs, as well as cats and chickens. I’ve watched multiple pets at the same time and can handle different needs, including giving medication or keeping up with high-energy animals. I’ve been watching pets since high school and grew up around dogs and cats, so being around animals comes naturally. I’m responsible, patient, and caring, and I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved. I’m a full-time working professional with a very flexible schedule that will allow me to drop in during the day or work from home if an all day shift is needed. Depending on my schedule I may be available for short notice requests and I don’t mind same day cancellation as long as there is no travel involved. I try to treat pets like family, giving them attention, patience, and care so they feel safe and comfortable. Every animal is different, so I adjust to their personality. Whether that is lots of playtime, quiet companionship, or giving them space when they need it. Animals are very intuitive, and I’ve found that bringing calm, loving energy helps them open up and feel at ease. I always pay attention to their body language to make sure they’re happy and well cared for.
“Kathleen watched my cat Odie over a long weekend and took great care of him. She’s easy to communicate with, is very knowledgeable about animals, and sent plenty of pictures with each visit. I felt totally comfortable with her caring for Odie as soon as I met her. Thanks for taking such good care of Odie! I’d love to have you watch him again!”

About: I grew up with cats, and last year started watching dogs. I love going on walks and eating snacks! Maybe that is why they like me. I currently work part-time, so my schedule is pretty flexible. Most shifts are in the evening, so I am available during the normal 8-5 working hours. I adapt to their routine and happily make time for exercise and meals. I live in a two-story duplex, with a small enclosed outdoor area.
“Debra is amazing! Not only were we able to enjoy our holiday knowing that our fur baby was happy and being cared for, but we came back to a house that was even cleaner than we left it. Debra went above and beyond, even leaving us some food covers for us to better store half-eaten cans in the fridge. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. We hope to have Debra back again soon!”

About: **Relocating to the Portland, Oregon area summer of 2026! Please reach out to me if you are in the vicinity in OR/WA. Will have limited availability in Santa Barbara** I’ve cared for animals my whole life and naturally connect with them. I’m calm, patient, and attentive, and I take time to understand each pet’s personality and needs. I also cared for my own senior dog for years, who lived to 15, which meant administering medications, moving at her pace, keeping routines gentle, and making sure she stayed comfortable and healthy in her senior years. I have experience caring for senior cats as well, and I’m very comfortable supporting animals that need extra patience or special attention. I keep a clean space, and pride myself on being responsible and reliable. I’ve watched multiple dogs at once in other people’s homes, from high-energy pups who love adventure to low-energy or anxious dogs who need quiet reassurance. Your pet will get genuine companionship, safety, and lots of love. I am relocating to the Portland, Oregon area this summer, and am so excited! I will be working only part time from home this summer, and therefore will have full availability to stay at your home and care for your pets. Would love to help you with your summer plans and allow for you to travel where you need to go while your pets and your home are in good hands. I plan to spend my days exploring the hiking trails so if your dog likes hikes and can join, I’d love that! Other than that, I’ll be spending most of my time enjoying the Portland neighborhoods and chilling with your pets. In my home, pets get a cozy, clean space, plenty of check-ins, and a steady routine with meals, fresh water, play breaks, walks, and lounging together. I make sure they feel like part of the household and never rushed or ignored. In your home, I make sure everything stays clean, calm, and consistent. I follow your routines and instructions exactly, from feeding and meds to favorite toys or bedtime rituals. Whether your pet wants adventure or quiet comfort, I match their vibe and keep them happy until you return.
About: My experience with dog care began at age 12 when I started walking my neighbors' medium-sized Labrador and Golden Retriever mix during summer afternoons, gaining early hands-on experience. Later, I expanded my responsibilities by dog-sitting for family friends, looking after dogs of various breeds and temperaments, which helped me develop a deeper understanding of different canine needs. I'm currently working remotely as an English tutor, and I have the flexibility to set my own hours to match your schedule and needs. I can assure you that your pet will be my top priority, and I am open to any changes, such as extended care time that you might require. I have a small backyard with a fence and a secure balcony if you want your cat to spend time outdoors. My cat is fed three times a day at specific times, so I can easily accommodate a strict feeding schedule for your pet.
“Leo is phenomenal! Very communicative before and during the booking. Four days in and our cat was cuddling on the couch with Leo. He’s a cat whisperer. Such a peace of mind while we were traveling. Would definitely book him again.”

“Jenna was amazing! It was our first time using Rover for our cat and rabbit. Our rabbit is a senior and we were very nervous about having to leave him, but Jenna did an incredible job and did his medications and accommodated his specific feeding regimen very well. She gave us peace of mind during our trip and we would absolutely use her again. Thank you Jenna!”

“Ashley did a wonderful job caring for my 2 cats while I was away! One of my cats is shy and requires daily medication, and she handled both without any issues. She kept up with feeding, cleaned the litter box, and was very communicative — sending daily pictures and updates that gave me great peace of mind. I highly recommend Ashley as a pet sitter!”

About: I’ve had the pleasure of house sitting and caring for many of my friends’ dogs and cats over the last two decades; giving me hands-on experience with a variety of breeds and personalities. I also had the unique opportunity to work directly with a dog trainer, which allowed me to learn valuable insights about dog behavior, training, and care for many breeds. From small, energetic pups to large, gentle giants, I’ve worked with dogs of all sizes and understand the importance of providing attentive, loving, and responsible care for every pet. I just resigned from my cooperate job of Engineering Project Manager, in order to fully dedicate to my startup. Since I can work from anywhere with my laptop, pet sitting offers a unique way to support this journey by slowing my burn rate, reducing the financial strain on my startup, and providing meaningful work in the process. It’s a perfect balance: caring for pets and homes while pursuing my dream. In my home, I prioritize creating a safe and comfortable environment for pets. I have a large, fenced yard that allows for secure outdoor play and exercise. Inside, I offer spacious spare rooms for pets that may need their own space, such as dogs that prefer to sleep alone. For crate-trained dogs, I have crates available, but only use them if the owner approves, ensuring the pet feels secure and at ease. Whether in my home or my client’s, I focus on maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment tailored to each pet's unique needs.
About: I’ve had a cat by my side my whole life. Animals are my passion which is why i’ve been vegetarian since I was 7. I don’t have a pet in my college house so working with animals would brighten my day! I’m eager to help with your pets needs. I am currently a full time student monday-friday during the day but I have a lot of breaks throughout class to take care of your pet. I care for pets by cleaning up after them, giving them attention and care (pets, brushing, feeding, etc), and being attentive by making sure they are safe.
“Grace was wonderful with my kitty Rory. Rory can be very shy and she warmed up to Grace so quickly which made me feel so much better about leaving her in Grace’s hands. Grace is a wonderful communicator and sent me so many pictures and videos throughout her stay - it was wonderful! Highly recommend Grace to watch any of you pets :)”

“I can’t recommend Ann enough! She went above and beyond caring for my shy, fearful kitty while we were away. It’s so clear how much love and care she has for animals—she truly treats them like her own. From the moment we met her, I knew my cat was in the best hands. Ann’s communication was amazing throughout our trip. She sent regular updates and the sweetest photos, which made it so much easier to relax and actually enjoy our time away without worrying. My cat usually takes ages to warm up to anyone, but somehow Ann won his heart right away! She even shared a few helpful tips and tricks that we’ll be using. If you’re looking for someone you can trust completely with your furry family member, Ann is your person. We’re already looking forward to booking her again for our next trip 😸❤️”

Mission Canyon cat parents share their Rover experiences
Cheryl is excellent! She is very thorough and responsive. She was willing to do a meet and greet with us before watching our cats and we could tell she was very organized and responsible. She took great care of our cats, sent us updates/photos, and followed all our instructions with great attention to detail. Will definitely book with her again!

Jeanette was a great find! She was easy to communicate with, polite and friendly. She did everything we asked of her, and was also happy to water our plant and collect mail whilst we were away. Everything was left clean and tidy and she obviously took pride in doing a good job! I would not hesitate to recommend her. And we would happily book her again! I don't know whether she eventually got snuggle time with our cats, but they seemed happy around her and quickly got over any uncertainty around a stranger.
