“Sandy and her husband were so sweet with our dog who had an injury right before our vacation. Sandy could tell we didn’t want to leave her, and provided lots of reassurance that our dog would be in good hands. Because of the injury she had a lot of extra meds, which Sandy administered easily! Thank you, Sandy and Tony for loving on Sadey! She even got a beach day!”

“Ashly was amazing!! She is super communicative and responsive, and I felt so comfortable and safe leaving my pup with her. He came home happy and well loved. We would absolutely trust her with our pup again!”

“Debra is amazing! Not only were we able to enjoy our holiday knowing that our fur baby was happy and being cared for, but we came back to a house that was even cleaner than we left it. About: I’m a proud “dog uncle” to dozens of pups. With experience in raising and co-owning dogs, I treat every dog with love, patience, and fun. My schedule is currently very flexible for virtually any day (other than when I’m out of town of course). Happy to discuss what you’re looking for and accommodating all I can. I have a cat so I’m not able to take pets to my home since it’s also the kitty’s home and I don’t want to put her out. That being said, I’ve taken care of many pets at others people’s houses and I’m available to walk dogs while also providing some training if desired.

About: Hi, I’m Lana (short for Svetlana). I’ve always had a deep love for animals and genuinely enjoy spending time with both dogs and cats. While I don’t have a dog of my own, I’ve spent years caring for friends’ and neighbors’ pets, gaining hands-on experience with a wide range of personalities, including senior dogs who need a little extra patience and care. I understand every pet is different and adjust my care to fit their needs—whether that means a slower, gentler pace for senior dogs, active playtime for puppies, or simply keeping them comfortable and relaxed. I’ve also had the unique experience of walking dogs down the aisle at weddings and caring for them throughout the event, so couples can fully enjoy their special day. I stay calm, reliable, and confident in both everyday care and high-energy, special moments. It’s important to me that every pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for. I’d love the opportunity to meet your pup and give them the attention they deserve. I work full-time during the week with two days from home, but on the weekends, my schedule is completely open and I can ensure potty breaks every 1-2 hours. Just let me know what your dog’s needs are :) We sure can work it out. I will always make sure to never leave your dog unattended. Your dog deserves attention and safety is very important to all of us. I will care for your dog as if it’s my own.

“We had a family emergency and had to travel to the east coast after adopting our new puppy. Chelsi checked in on her, played with her and made sure she felt comfortable before leaving. Chelsi was super responsive, sent photos and always made sure to check in. We appreciated her care so much and will def book her again if given the opportunity. Thank you!!”

“I can't recommend Sandy enough. We were in a bind needing a last-minute sitter, and she was incredibly responsive and flexible. She made the logistics simple. My fiancé had no trouble at all coordinating drop-off and pick-up. While we were away, she sent photo updates that showed our dog relaxed and happy. When we picked him up, he was clearly well-cared for and in great spirits. Sandy truly saved the day. Thank you!”

About: I grew up with dogs, love taking care of them and love to walk for hours! I am offering this service until I get a dog of my own :) I work from home with flexibility in my schedule. I love to get out for breaks during the day and live close to a dog park. I have a gated outdoor space and live in a dog friendly neighborhood. I also cover up my furniture so that the dogs can go on the couch.
“I was nervous to leave my dog alone with someone but Stacey was great! She communicated well and sent a picture of my dog, he was not with her for very long but she still was able to squeeze in a good walk that tired my energetic boy. He was in really good hands”

“Tracy is wonderful! My dog, Murphy, is always so excited when he sees that we are at her place. He clearly feels very comfortable with Tracy. I'm so happy to have found someone my dog adores so much.”

About: I work from home, so your dog is never alone for long. My fenced yard means safe outdoor play every day, and regular photo updates mean you'll actually be able to relax on your trip. I have a special needs dog of my own, so I have a particular soft spot for dogs that need a little extra care, but I'm equally comfortable with puppies, seniors, anxious dogs, and medication administration. I know exactly how much trust you're placing in me, and I don't take that lightly. Your dog gets a real home, real attention, and a lot of love. I work from home full time, which means your dog has company throughout the day rather than waiting for someone to come home. Walks, yard time, and cuddles fit naturally into my routine, I'm not squeezing pet care around a commute or office hours. Gladly have your pet a part of my day. My home is fully fenced, so outdoor time is always safe and supervised. Inside, dogs are welcome wherever they're most comfortable.. on the sofa, in the bedroom, wherever helps them settle in. I follow each owner's instructions closely, including crating if that's part of their dog's routine. I'll always ask about your dog's habits, triggers, and preferences before your stay so there are no surprises for either of us.
“I can’t begin to explain how grateful I am to have met Marty and Lynn. They were so accommodating and even flexible with some last-minute changes. My boy, Todd, was in absolute paradise in their lush backyard. They are so generous to open it up for daycare. I love seeing photos throughout the day of Todd’s relaxing day in their special care. We booked 2 dog sitting days, back to back and the second day when I dropped Todd off he was PULLING so excited to be back! I wish I lived closer and could have Todd see them all the time! They are fabulous dog people and I can’t wait for the next time we are in Santa Barbara.”

“Nicole and Ethan were great communicators throughout our stay and so very caring! Our pup had a great time with them and their dog, and we enjoyed our vacation knowing she was in good hands.”

About: I have been working with animals professionally since I was 12 years old. From dogs, cats, and horses to cattle, sheep, and everything in between. I am currently working with pets on the days when I am not working my other part-time job. I primarily walk and exercise dogs between the hours of 9-5 M-F with some weekend availability. I will care for your animals as if they are my own, in whatever way you require. My own dog (Holly the Dalmatian) is even available if your dog needs some companionship. Trust, respect, and love is at the foundation of my connection with animals. My goal is for your animal to have the best time while safely remaining in my care.

About: I can't remember a time without a furry friend by my side. I literally came home from the hospital to a wagging tail—my family's dog was my first welcome committee, and that set the tone for my entire life. Over the years, I've been lucky enough to share my home with cats, and have owned two amazing dogs who kept me on my toes and filled every day with joy. Each pet has taught me something new about patience, unconditional love, and the unique personality that makes every animal special. My love for animals extends beyond my own four-legged family. I'm a proud supporter of the Santa Barbara Humane Society because I believe every animal deserves a loving home and compassionate care. Giving back to the animal community is something I'm deeply committed to. When you trust me with your pet, you're not just hiring someone who loves animals—you're connecting with someone who understands that pets are family. I treat every dog, cat, or critter in my care with the same love and attention I would give my own, because that's what they deserve. As someone who's self-employed, I have the flexibility to give your pets the time and attention they deserve. I recently said goodbye to my beloved companion, and while I'm not quite ready to welcome a new furry friend into my own home yet, caring for other people's pets has been incredibly meaningful. It keeps me connected to what I love most while giving me the chance to shower someone else's best friend with all the love and care they need. I live in a cozy casita with a secure, fenced patio area—perfect for outdoor playtime and fresh air. Since I work from home, I'm around throughout the day, which means your pet gets plenty of companionship and supervision. I'm also an active person who loves getting out, so regular walks to the park, beach, or around downtown are part of my routine. Your furry friend will get both the comfort of a home environment and the adventure of exploring Santa Barbara's best spots.

My days can be flexible where I can check in periodically as well— I am happy to coordinate as needed. I’m also off every Wednesday and am available over overnight stays. I welcome dogs into the home as well and am always willing to take them out to the beach, on trails, and any adventures in general!
“Danielle was awesome...she accepted the booking with little notice, and took such great care of Skye. He had playtime in the yard & walks....he was a very happy boy. Danielle kept me updated with photos....would definitely recommend!”

“Wendy is really great with dogs! You can tell right away that she is such an animal lover and is the kindest person. I wouldn’t hesitate to have her watch my dog again. Thank you, Wendy!”

“Damian is the best! He has looked after our dog for over three weeks while we were away, and he cares for her just like his own dog. Sprite gets daily excised and fun time, and we receive frequent updates on her. Will go back to Damian again!”

“Vivian helped with a last minute request to watch our pup. She was really flexible with our changing needs and we were happy our dog stayed with her for a few hours while we visited the zoo. Very friendly and responsive.”

“Ellen was amazing! my little dog needed medication administered and some special attention and Ellen handled it no problem. We highly recommend her and will have our little dog stay with her next time we leave!”

“Courtney did a great job taking care of our pug. She shared frequent pics of our dog on walks and playing in the house. We know our dog had a great mini vacation while we did ourselves!”

“We couldn't be happier with Jacob’s care for our dog, Yogi! He was amazing from start to finish—super communicative, consistently checked in with updates and adorable photos, and made sure Yogi stayed active and well-loved. Yogi came back happy, tired, and clearly had a great time. It's such a relief to know our pup was in such good hands. Highly recommend Jacob to anyone looking for a responsible and caring dog sitter!”

“Annabel was awesome with my dog! She got him out multiple times per day and kept in close contact with me sending me pictures of their adventures. I highly recommend her!”

“We felt so happy and comfortable leaving Stanley with Joritt and his family! Their large fenced yard is perfect for dogs and their home was so dog-friendly too. We appreciated the extra effort it took to take photos and send them to us! Stanley came home a tired and happy dog just like we hoped.”

“Honey took fantastic care of our pups. She took time to win the trust of our anxious mastiff/GSD mix and continued to teach our 6mo puppy his manners. From our first conversation, it was evident that she had an excellent understanding of dog behavior and we appreciated that she asked us to write up a document outlining the cues our dogs understood and what we were trying to teach them, so that she could continue their training. The pups had an excellent time and were obviously at ease. We've already rebooked :-)”

“Jacqueline and Roland were wonderful with Remy. They were mindful of his needs and accommodated him beautifully. They sent me pictures to eliminate my anxiety and were always responsive. We had a great experience!”

About: I treat dogs with the Golden Rule. Dogs have short lives and it’s up to us to make them full of love, friends, long walks, and sunshine! I’ll treat your pup like I treat my own, and with any special care precautions. I have loved caring / training my own dogs and grew up taking care of my family dogs as well. I am quick to understanding their little special ways of communicating. Work from home most days and have a balcony, a lovely little courtyard, and a dog park in my complex for fresh air. I can, and enjoy taking morning, afternoon and evening walks at one of the several nice walking paths nearby. I have neighbor dog friends that I watch occasionally and would love to come play if your dog prefers dog company. My complex is highly secure, and I live in a lovely safe and walkable area. I have a courtyard and dog park and courtyard facing patio.
