About: I can't remember a time without a furry (or occasionally aloof, whiskered) friend by my side. I literally came home from the hospital to a wagging tail — my family's dog was my first welcome committee, and honestly, it's been downhill ever since. In the best way. I've shared my home with cats who ran the place like tiny CEOs, and two dogs who kept me on my toes and taught me more about patience than any human ever has. If you've got a dog who needs zoomies and belly rubs, or a cat who'll deign to acknowledge my existence on her own schedule, I speak both languages fluently. I'm also a proud supporter of the Santa Barbara Humane Society — animals have given me enough joy over the years that giving back isn't optional, it's just what you do. When you leave your pet with me, you're not getting a stranger who "loves animals" in the vague, profile-filler kind of way. About: I've always had a deep love for dogs, having grown up with them. Unfortunately, my current living situation doesn’t allow for a pet. However, I’ve had the privilege of caring for friends and family’s dogs, ranging from weekly to monthly stays. I’ve even spent nights at their homes to ensure their pets are well-cared for. For drop ins I can take dogs out to go to the bathroom before and after my classes at about 7 am and 3 pm during Mondays through Thursdays, as well as in the evenings as much as necessary. If house sitting, I can be at the location more often In a clients home I could give the pets good and water, crate if necessary, and if it's a fenced area let them out. About: I’ve owned vizslas so I know who to handle high energy dogs and have trained each one myself! I also have experience with goldens, black labs, frenchies, and german shepherds! I work a full time job but can take a dog out in the mornings, midday, and evening - possibly more depending on the location. I would try to stick to the pets routine as best as possible and pay attention to the pet’s cues to make it the most comfortable without it’s owner.
