About: I grew up surrounded by dogs, cats, and all kinds of animals. My childhood dog was truly my best friend, and animals have always been an important part of my life. When I had my own family, my first dog was a Bull Terrier. Because he was such a strong and heavy dog, I worked privately with a dog psychologist and regularly attended dog school. Sadly, he passed away from a tumor at only five years old. My second dog was an Australian Shepherd who eventually became a wonderful companion dog for elderly residents in retirement homes. He passed away at age ten following complications from surgery. My last dog, Scruffy, was a rescue from Romania and probably taught me the most. She had experienced trauma and struggled with fear and anxiety, which made her a real challenge at first. Through training, patience, consistency, safety, and above all, love, she gradually learned to trust again. These experiences have given me a great deal of understanding and practical skill when it comes to reading dogs, handling challenging situations, and keeping both dogs and myself safe. I understand that every dog has a different personality, history, and needs. When a dog is in my care, my goal is simple: to make them feel safe, cared for, understood, and happy while their family is away. ❤️🐾 I'm currently between jobs and looking for tithe right party-time opportunity, which gives me the wonderful opportunity to spend some of my free time doing something I genuinely love-being around dogs. I have a securely fenced yard where dogs can enjoy some outdoor time, and I'm happy to crate a dog if tithes is part of their normal routine or what makes them more comfortable.

“I have a Great Pyrenees puppy, newly rescued off the L.A. streets a couple of weeks ago, with no I.D. or training at all. She is big and strong and I am not, so I needed the right dog-walker for the 50-pound dog, and picked Kayla K. because she raised her own 100-lb. Labrador from his puppyhood. I cannot praise Kayla enough! We started with a dog dancing around, getting tangled underfoot, and grabbing the leash like a toy. That behavior is nearly all gone now. Kayla is prompt, warm, friendly, outgoing, brought the right collar/leash combo. (now I've bought my own). My puppy gets excited when she hears Kayla's car in the driveway, and greets her joyously, and comes home nicely tired out and smiling. I took my dog yesterday to a professional dog trainer to get some help with crating and commands (like down and come), and he, a professional, was extremely impressed with my dog's calm heeling abilities that she had acquired, thanks to Kayla.”

That experience gave me a strong understanding of pet behavior, health, and how to keep animals comfortable and safe. I’ve also been pet sitting since I was younger, caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities. I treat every pet like my own and always make sure they feel happy, loved, and well taken care of while you’re away. My schedule is very flexible since I work as a personal trainer with varying hours each week. I’m typically only working a few hours at a time, with most of my clients in the mornings or evenings, so I’m home a lot during the day and able to give your pet plenty of attention. I currently live in an apartment, so I focus on in-home stays and drop-in visits. I try to keep pets in their normal routine as much as possible so they feel comfortable and safe in their own environment. I always make sure they have plenty of attention, walks, and time outside of just being checked on. I also try to spend as much time with them as I can so they’re not left alone for long. If your dog is comfortable with it, I’m happy to bring them along with me sometimes so they’re getting more interaction and not just sitting at home. I always go based on each pet’s personality and what you’re comfortable with as the owner.

About: I've been taking care of pets on my own since I was 13. I've sat cats and dogs of all kinds, including one with special needs. For drop ins I can take dogs out to go to the bathroom before and after my classes at about 7 am and 3 pm during Mondays through Thursdays, as well as in the evenings as much as necessary. If house sitting, I can be at the location more often In a clients home I could give the pets good and water, crate if necessary, and if it's a fenced area let them out. About: I’ve had two dogs so far in my life, but the one I adopted 2 years ago was completely raised by my brother and I. I am very familiar with animal caretaking and training due to having pets and I have also done some pet sitting for neighbors and friends. I have experience with both dogs and cats. I love caring for pets! Knowing an animal feels loved and cared for brings me so much joy. I’m available most days as long as I’m aware a few days in advance. I try to plan ahead/schedule to make sure my dog is properly cared for everyday. I add walking my dog to my calendar so she is always given walks and never forgotten about. I feed my pets around the same time everyday and my family switches off on certain care taking jobs such as cleaning the litter box, cleaning up poops outside, baths, etc.

Ryan was totally flexible, accommodating and very professional in regards to anticipating and prepping for all of Sadie's needs. i would highly recommend Ryan and will definitely call him again when next in Santa Barbara! Sadie had a wonderful 3 hour romp at one beach and later the same day another 90 mins at another beach! Needless to say a tired dog is a happy dog and she slept well that night after a full body massage for well-exercised muscles!
