About: I can't remember a time without a furry (or occasionally aloof, whiskered) friend by my side. I literally came home from the hospital to a wagging tail — my family's dog was my first welcome committee, and honestly, it's been downhill ever since. In the best way. I've shared my home with cats who ran the place like tiny CEOs, and two dogs who kept me on my toes and taught me more about patience than any human ever has. If you've got a dog who needs zoomies and belly rubs, or a cat who'll deign to acknowledge my existence on her own schedule, I speak both languages fluently. I'm also a proud supporter of the Santa Barbara Humane Society — animals have given me enough joy over the years that giving back isn't optional, it's just what you do. When you leave your pet with me, you're not getting a stranger who "loves animals" in the vague, profile-filler kind of way. You're getting someone who will send you the update photos, learn your dog's weird quirks or your cat's exact opinion of strangers, and treat your critter like my own — because that's the whole job. As someone who's self-employed, I have the flexibility to give your pets the time and attention they deserve. I recently said goodbye to my beloved companion, and while I'm not quite ready to welcome a new furry friend into my own home yet, caring for other people's pets has been incredibly meaningful. It keeps me connected to what I love most while giving me the chance to shower someone else's best friend with all the love and care they need. I work from home, I'm flexible throughout the day, for pet companionship and supervision. I'm also an active person who loves getting out, so regular walks to the park, beach, or around downtown are part of my routine. Your furry friend will get both the comfort of a home environment and the adventure of exploring Santa Barbara's best spots.

About: I have a lot of love and experience with animals! My family has always loved animals, and I’ve grown up having multiple dogs throughout my life. I’m very comfortable caring for dogs of different personalities and love spending time playing with them, giving them attention, and taking them on walks. I treat every pet like they’re part of the family and want to make sure they feel happy, safe, and cared for while you’re away! I’m a student at SBCC and currently only have classes on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, so I have plenty of free time on the other days to care for your pup! I’m able to be flexible with my schedule and would love to spend my free time taking dogs on walks, playing with them, and giving them lots of attention and care. I’m unable to have pets stay in my home because I live in student housing, but I’m happy to care for pets in their own home! I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. About: Though I use to work in person as a nurse in an oncology unit, I now work from home full time as a research nurse organizing breast cancer clinical trials. Though I don’t currently have any pets of my own, I am an animal lover and hoping to walk and care for your dogs and cats! I have decades of pet sitting throughout my life! I am comfortable with many different pet personalities and any needs of your pet including medication administration. Please feel free to ask questions! I currently work from home full time with a somewhat flexible schedule as a remote research nurse. I am available between meetings, some evenings and some weekends! I’m super mindful about keeping pets safe and comfortable, whether I’m in your home or out on a walk. I always follow care instructions closely, and I’m trained in animal CPR, so I’m prepared for emergencies (just in case!). About: I'm an intuitive and empathetic pet caregiver who truly understands what each animal needs. I've had a dog throughout my entire childhood and adult life, and now I share every day with my 8-pound Pomchi who goes everywhere with me. I specialize in caring for small and medium-sized dogs, and I pride myself on forming close, trusting connections. I even joke that I speak a bit of dog language! In addition to pet care, l also offer house sitting, so your pets can stay in the comfort of their home while I ensure they feel safe and loved. About: I've always had a deep love for dogs, having grown up with them. Unfortunately, my current living situation doesn’t allow for a pet. However, I’ve had the privilege of caring for friends and family’s dogs, ranging from weekly to monthly stays. I’ve even spent nights at their homes to ensure their pets are well-cared for. I am newly retired and love taking walks at the beach, park, and around the neighborhood. I would enjoy animal companionship to keep me company. I’ve cared for dogs in various living situations, including those who sleep in crates or inside the home. I’m comfortable working remotely on a laptop, allowing me to spend time outdoors or in a separate room, minimizing disruption to the dog’s routine.

About: I've been taking care of pets on my own since I was 13. I've sat cats and dogs of all kinds, including one with special needs. For drop ins I can take dogs out to go to the bathroom before and after my classes at about 7 am and 3 pm during Mondays through Thursdays, as well as in the evenings as much as necessary. If house sitting, I can be at the location more often In a clients home I could give the pets good and water, crate if necessary, and if it's a fenced area let them out. If they need to be walked i can do that as well.

About: I’ve taken care of animals, of all kinds, my whole life. Growing up on a homestead has given me the passion as well as practical skill set to take care of animals. I am comfortable handling newborn fosters, specific dietary needs, senior dog care/med management. I can control large dogs that have behavioral issues. I attend college online and work a part time job in the evenings. I have a dog and a cat, I know how important animals are and always go out of my way to make sure they are safe. I have handled difficult, high energy animals with ease in the past. I am always available via phone or text to ease any concerns. About: I've been taking care of animals since I was 15. I’ve taken care of both senior dogs, and puppies. My family has a rescue dog (that I don't live with at the moment), and was raised taking care of her in all seasons of life. I work from home most days. I live close to a walking trail and near a park that I would be happy to take your pet to for the bathroom and to let off some energy. My apartment is clean and has a fenced in balcony. I live near several green spaces and large fields where dogs are welcome to run around, let out energy, or go to the bathroom. I also live near lots of walking trails. I am familiar with crating but am happy to have your pet roaming the house if that is preferred.

About: Your pups new favorite human! I’ve been a volunteer dog foster for my local shelter for the past two years and full-on dog lover for the last 28! Since I was 9 I have volunteered with animals of all kinds, from local rescue pets to monkeys and jaguars in the jungles of Bolivia! I’m experienced with a variety or breeds and personalities. Belly rubs, park adventures, fetch, and plenty of love will flow freely while you’re away :) I am currently working part-time as a freelancer so my weekdays are pretty flexible and can accommodate most schedules. Weekends can be tricky but not impossible! Always reach out. Your home becomes my home while I’m there, and your pet becomes my whole focus. I do a full walkthrough before the first stay so I know their routine inside and out — feeding times, favorite walk route, where the leash lives, any quirks or comfort spots. Staying true to their normal rhythm is my top priority, because I know changes in routine can be stressful for them even when everything else is fine. I’m attentive to the little things — appetite, energy, mood, bathroom habits — and I’ll reach out right away if anything seems off, rather than wait and see. Medications go out on schedule, doors and gates get double-checked, and I never introduce new food or treats without checking with you first. And because I know it’s hard to be away from them, I send daily photos and videos so you can see for yourself that they’re safe, comfortable, and getting all the love they’re used to at home.
