Cheryl is fantastic. We get feedback and photos from the walk she provides or dogs. This gives us great peace of mind when we are away and that is invaluable!

About: As someone who grew up on a ranch and has never not had a dog since birth, I truly love animals. I have firsthand experience living with and caring for both dogs and cats, and I would love to extend that same care to your furbabies. Animals I’ve cared for include dogs and cats (of course), sheep, cows, fish, ducks, and tree frogs! My golden retriever (Bandit) and tabby cat (Tiger) say hi! I have a super flexible schedule! I’m currently working an events-based position every few weekends, but other than that all my time can be dedicated to caring for your furbabies like they’re one of my own! Even on weekends where I have an event to work, I still have plenty of free time, so never hesitate to reach out if you’re in need of pet care anytime. I’ve had 6 dogs in my lifetime and have pet-sitted many others, so I am used to caring for dogs of all personalities and rules. Indoor outdoor, crate trained or not, energetic and playful or relaxed and sleepy, I am adaptable and here to do what is best for you and your pet!

About: I’m reliable and trustworthy, with experience caring for a variety of pets, from small dogs to active 1-year-old labs, as well as cats and chickens. I’ve watched multiple pets at the same time and can handle different needs, including giving medication or keeping up with high-energy animals. I’ve been watching pets since high school and grew up around dogs and cats, so being around animals comes naturally. I’m responsible, patient, and caring, and I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved. I’m a full-time working professional with a very flexible schedule that will allow me to drop in during the day or work from home if an all day shift is needed. Depending on my schedule I may be available for short notice requests and I don’t mind same day cancellation as long as there is no travel involved. I try to treat pets like family, giving them attention, patience, and care so they feel safe and comfortable. Every animal is different, so I adjust to their personality. Whether that is lots of playtime, quiet companionship, or giving them space when they need it. Animals are very intuitive, and I’ve found that bringing calm, loving energy helps them open up and feel at ease. I always pay attention to their body language to make sure they’re happy and well cared for.

About: **Relocating to the Portland, Oregon area summer of 2026! Please reach out to me if you are in the vicinity in OR/WA. Will have limited availability in Santa Barbara** I’ve cared for animals my whole life and naturally connect with them. I’m calm, patient, and attentive, and I take time to understand each pet’s personality and needs. I also cared for my own senior dog for years, who lived to 15, which meant administering medications, moving at her pace, keeping routines gentle, and making sure she stayed comfortable and healthy in her senior years. I have experience caring for senior cats as well, and I’m very comfortable supporting animals that need extra patience or special attention. I keep a clean space, and pride myself on being responsible and reliable. I’ve watched multiple dogs at once in other people’s homes, from high-energy pups who love adventure to low-energy or anxious dogs who need quiet reassurance. Your pet will get genuine companionship, safety, and lots of love. I am relocating to the Portland, Oregon area this summer, and am so excited! I will be working only part time from home this summer, and therefore will have full availability to stay at your home and care for your pets. Would love to help you with your summer plans and allow for you to travel where you need to go while your pets and your home are in good hands. I plan to spend my days exploring the hiking trails so if your dog likes hikes and can join, I’d love that! Other than that, I’ll be spending most of my time enjoying the Portland neighborhoods and chilling with your pets. In my home, pets get a cozy, clean space, plenty of check-ins, and a steady routine with meals, fresh water, play breaks, walks, and lounging together. I make sure they feel like part of the household and never rushed or ignored. In your home, I make sure everything stays clean, calm, and consistent. I follow your routines and instructions exactly, from feeding and meds to favorite toys or bedtime rituals. Whether your pet wants adventure or quiet comfort, I match their vibe and keep them happy until you return.

About: I grew up with the responsibility of taking care of my family dogs growing up, so they have always been a big, loving part of my life. As an adult, I have lived with 3 different dogs and have helped raised two from pups. I am always the go-to dog sitter for all my friends when they are out of town since I live a very active lifestyle. I’m always out for walks on the town (or runs) if that is your dogs cup of tea. I absolutely adore doggos and would treat yours as if they are my own! I am a musician in town and work sporadically playing shows on the weekends. My schedule during the week is super flexible as I am home writing/working on music. I run/walk daily and can accommodate these to your pets schedule with ease. I live with my boyfriend in 3 bedroom apartment with a small yard out back. He is also a dog-lover and was as excited as me for signing up for this app! My landlords do not have an issue with there being dogs on property. We are a short walk to the Mission Park in Downtown Santa Barbara.

About: Here’s a more polished and warm rewrite that sounds professional while still personal: I’ve been caring for animals since I was 12 years old, when I rescued my first dog. Since then, I’ve raised several dogs and gained experience with puppies, senior dogs, rescues, and dogs with fear-based aggression or anxiety. I also volunteered at the humane society, where I often worked with dogs that others were hesitant to handle. That experience taught me patience, confidence, and how to build trust with animals that need extra care and understanding. With my current rescue dog, I completed dog training bootcamp twice to help her overcome severe anxiety. Through that training, I learned how to provide structure, reinforce commands, and use positive reinforcement techniques to help dogs feel safe, secure, and confident. In addition to dogs, I also have experience caring for cats and rabbits. I’m comfortable adapting to different personalities, routines, and care needs, and I genuinely enjoy making animals feel loved, safe, and well cared for. I am currently a stay at home mom. My schedule is pretty flexible with a little bit of notice. I look forward to helping you. I have very structured care for my own pup. I believe pups need a lot of love and also need to trust the people caring for them. Your dog’s safety and well-being will always be my first priority.

About: I have proudly cared for my own dog for the past 9 years, giving me hands-on experience with daily walks, feeding, companionship, and overall pet care. I am a beginner to Rover, however I genuinely love animals and understand the importance of providing them with patience, attention, and a safe, caring environment. I treat every pet as if they were my own and strive to make them feel comfortable, happy, and loved. Pet care is already a regular part of my daily routine, as I have cared for my own dog for the past 9 years. I work full time during the week, but I am available after 6PM on weekdays for walks, drop-in visits, and quality time with pets. On weekends, I have open availability and can dedicate more time to longer walks, playtime, and personalized care. I enjoy spending time with animals and make it a priority to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their established routine as closely as possible to help pets feel comfortable and secure. I ensure they have fresh water, are fed according to instructions, receive plenty of attention, exercise, and bathroom breaks, and are always kept safe. I also provide updates and photos so owners can have peace of mind while they are away. My goal is to treat every pet with the same love, patience, and care that I give my own dog.

About: I have been around and cared for dogs since I was in middle school. I have a deep care for dogs and believe giving them the absolute best life while they are with us is the only way to engage with them. I have a knack for training, it somewhat comes natural to me and I have the patience for it. Im happy to work with your dog to either reinforce or teach commands/tricks. Recently, I left my corporate job. I am taking time off to assess my next career move. Which means I have wide open flexibility and need to take walks to keep thinking. What a better way to do that than to have a walking companion! I do not have pets which means all of my attention goes to yours! There are two couches, a bed and a patio for your babe to enjoy. I am available around the clock to play, walk, teach.

James was great for Apache. He was on time, communicated throughout and sent me lots of photos which I appreciated very much. James even went out of his way to take Apache for a few car rides (with my permission of course) for different walk destinations. Overall James has been amazing! I will definitely get James to walk Apache again and recommend him to anyone.

About: Hello, my name is Katie and I am a local yoga instructor with a deep love for dogs. I grew up with pets of my own and have raised many dogs and cats throughout my life. I know how pets are like children, both playful, smart, a little stubborn, but oh so loving. I know how to keep dogs and cats happy and loved with my playful, yet calming energy. Once you and your pet meet me, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. I am available for dog walking and pet sitting on weekdays and weekends, and will always send photos so that you know your babies are happy. I can't wait to meet and care for your pets in the same way I love and care for my very own! I’m currently working part time, teaching online yoga…so I have plenty of time to take care of your fur babies! I am looking forward to caring for your pets as though they are kind. I am able to board your doggie…and I take great care of homes when I stay with your animals at your own home. Very clean, and want your home to feel great when you return home from your trip!

About: I grew up with lots of dogs and cats and have always had a strong affection for them. I have two cats currently, and I periodically dog sit for friends who leave their yellow lab at my condo. I’m physically fit and I have experience walking large dogs, including Labradors and German Shepherds. Most dogs seem to be comfortable around me. After working in the tech industry for over 20 years, I’m now semi-retired and seeking a part-time position which allows me to get out in the community and help people and their animals. I consider myself to be reliable, friendly, organized, punctual, and a good communicator. Available for dog walking on weekdays 9AM - 1:30 PM and 3PM - 6PM. I’m now semi-retired, so my availability is pretty high and dog walking is a great fit for me. I will treat any pet under my care the same way I treat my own pets, by giving them my full attention and by being patient and affectionate.

About: I am an NYU student, originally from California, studying music at Tisch and have been dog and pet sitting for many years. I have experience with both small and large dogs, including living with two labradors and a German Shepard for most of my life. I have always been a dog person and have been deeply missing my pups from home. I live a very active lifestyle and am very comfortable maneuvering around the city with your dog. I am reliable, responsible and have numerous references available upon request. I love this city so very much and am looking forward to exploring more of it with Rover. Please reach out with any questions you may have about me, my experience, or references. Looking forward to talking with you soon. I am using Rover to supplement my work from home income, so I have no conflicts or daily commitments that would take me away from providing the care your pet needs. It’s important to me that the pet and owner feel comfortable with me in their space. I prefer to do a meet and greet with the pet(s) before the booking to make sure it’s a good fit for everyone!

Dawer has brought joy, commitment and hard work to his commitment to walk our golden retriever, Honey. He has been and continues to be such a gift to our family. Our dog, Honey, who has survived a number of illnesses since Dawer became her walker, paces around near her regular "Dawer time" - and no matter how she is feeling on that day - she RUNS to him. He is truly gifted in his interaction with animals and a blessing to Honey and to the many in his circle of friends and colleagues. If you need a compassionate, bright and evolved human to walk your dog and support your dog's life, literally and figuratively , select Dawer.
