About: Hi! We’re Jessa and Justin, a married couple and local professionals who genuinely love animals. We understand how important it is to trust the people caring for your pets and your home. Jessa works as an optician in Santa Barbara, and Justin is the Operations Manager for a local community park, where he oversees a private off-leash dog membership program. Through his work, Justin has experience interacting with dogs of all breeds, sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. We were devoted dog parents for more than 20 years and recently became empty-nesters after saying goodbye to our beloved 17yo pup, Scootch. Caring for animals has always been a central part of our lives. We have spent years pet sitting for friends, family, and neighbors, and we’re excited to continue sharing our time, care, and love with dogs in our community. We generally have weekends free, and during weekdays we work regular 8 hour shifts. Justin’s schedule is flexible and can often be adjusted to accommodate midday bathroom breaks, walks, feedings, or check-ins when needed. We prioritize creating a calm, safe, and low stress environment for every pet in our care. When caring for pets in a client’s home, we respect their routines, boundaries, feeding schedules, exercise needs, and any special instructions to help pets feel secure and comfortable while their owners are away. We pay close attention to behavior, safety, leash security, medications, and household rules, and we always keep communication open with regular updates and photos. We’re clean, dependable, and respectful of clients’ homes, and we understand the trust involved in caring for both someone’s pets and personal space. About: I’ve owned and cared for pets over the course of my entire life. Dogs are my love and bring such joy into my world. I have always had a natural born connection that cannot really be explained. It’s a magnetism and I’m drawn to them as much as they are to me :). I have a deep understanding and knowledge of a variety of health issues that dogs commonly have including bone, joint, heart, GI issues and dietary restrictions. I’ve experienced quite a bit over the course of my life personally caring for dogs with these issues including blindness & deafness, injuries. I’m mature enough and a mom myself to confidently say that your family would be treated as my own would. I have also cared for and owned a variety of birds, fish, reptiles, bunnies, guinea pigs, chinchilla and then some! ;). Your animals would be loved as my own! Happy to do overnight care on somewhat short notice as well. Live in the Mission canyon area and have a gated yard with space for sun bathing and potty breaks/lizard chasing ;). Reliable car, DL, Insurance etc. - open to running errands, helping around the house (can discuss rate). My schedule is flexible and I’m available for boarding as well overnight with a little notice ahead of time. No problem with house sitting I have a gated yard and no pets. Nice neighborhood with friendly neighbors with dogs that enjoy each other. Local trails close by and the Riviera Theater close and other nice doggy friendly locations!
