“Lynn and Marty were fantastic sitters for my fur baby. I had been looking for a while for a good fit for my senior dog and ended up finding them a week before my trip. Lynn offered up a phone call so I could talk about the care and treatment I needed. I was so worried to leave my pup since she’d been having some health issues, but when it was time to drop her off, Lynn and Marty and their senior fur baby dog had the best vibes and wanted to make sure my pup was well taken care of. I could tell my pup felt right at home and loved exploring their nice yard. I got regular photos and updates on how she was doing and whether she’d eaten. When I picked her up, Lynn and Marty said they’d miss her and she looked relaxed and happy. I would definitely be a repeat customer and would recommend this gem of a place for pet care 🐾 💕”

“Our dog Junie had a great time with Sandy! She was very communicative and sent us lots of photos while we were away. Sandy was delighted to have our dog and I look forward to booking with her again.”

“Ellen was amazing at taking care of our dog Daisie! She sent multiple photos and videos every day and we could tell how happy Daisie was playing with Pepper. I would absolutely book with Ellen again!”

“Honey took such great care of our 2 Australian Shepherds. She was responsive, proactive with asking the right questions, and sent plenty of videos/ photos which we really appreciated. Honey particularly went above and beyond by showing us new commands that she had taught the dogs while we were gone. Our pups came home both exhausted (in a good way), behaved, and well satisfied. Lastly, we were especially appreciative when our travel plans unexpectedly changed and Honey agreed to continue watching the dogs for an extra 4 days even when she has personal plans of her own. Thank you so much, Honey!”
About: I grew up with pets and now that I have a little one of my own, I feel it’s a great opportunity for my daughter to grow up with them as well. My sister has a ranch with 6 dogs, horses, pigs.... the whole farm. I help quit often. I’m pretty flexible. I’m currently a stay at home mom. I only have to pick up my my international students at 3pm Mon-Fri. Other then that we are out on runs or at the park, or enjoying our huge yard. I live on a half acre with a huge fenced backyard. I also live very close to the beach and bike path. I go for runs often. Your dog will be with me and my 3 year most of the day. My fiancé works a lot! I’m also a host mom to two international kids that go to Bishop High School. We would love to get a dog of our own. I think this is great way to get our feet wet
“Jeanine was fantastic! I have a very attached pandemic puppy, and he took right to Jeanine and her pack. He was reluctant to leave when he was picked up! I highly recommend Jeanine.”

“This is the first time we had Candace take care of our dog Maicy. Candace was very attentive and provided regular updates that kept our hearts at ease while we were gone. We will definitely work with Candace for all our pet care needs!! Awesome!”

“Coco was happy, safe and well taken care of at Bradley's house for 5 nights while we attended wedding celebrations in Santa Barbara. Bradley greeted us as we dropped off Coco; he was warm, friendly and kind to Coco; and we received photos of her regularly. Coco had a chance to hang out with other gentle dogs -- she went for walks and enjoyed sniffing around the grassy lawn. Bradley greeted us when we picked her up at the end of her stay. We would feel very happy to leave Coco with Bradley again if the opportunity arose. Thank you!!”

About: I’ve spent over 30 years caring for dogs and other animals, both personally and professionally. My approach is intuitive, compassionate, and grounded in a lifetime of hands-on experience. I run a local Montecito dog walking business, working with dogs of all breeds and specializing in big, athletic, and high-energy dogs. Pet care fits naturally into my lifestyle. As a Montecito-based business owner and endurance athlete, I spend much of my time on the trails and beaches — often with a dog by my side. My lifelong love of animals, combined with my endurance background, makes me especially well-suited for larger or high-energy breeds. I genuinely love bonding with dogs and take pride in being a calm, confident presence — a natural pack leader they can trust. I care for the dogs I walk as if they were my own — with plenty of love, attention, and respect for their individual needs. I’m known for giving dogs the exercise they truly crave, whether that’s an energizing trail walk, a beach romp, or a steady neighborhood outing. I stay fully present and engaged, making sure each walk is safe, stimulating, and tailored to the dog’s energy level and personality.

I love all kinds of dogs and will take care of your pets like I would my own. I'm working part time so I have varying schedules week to week with lots of time to take care of your pet! I'm always available all day Friday and Saturday morning. I frequently take long walks so your dog will have consistent exercise and frequent potty breaks. I have a private fenced in yard and a very friendly dog that loves playing with other dogs! I can easily crate your dog at night depending on what you prefer. I will follow your dog's routine feeding and care so they are happy and feel at home!

“We absolutely loved Lianne she took such good care of our anxious little dog and helped us with socialization which was something we were nervous about. She even took her on great adventures which we loved seeing. Would definitely hire her again, thanks Lianne!”

“Wendy is incredible! I can’t imagine a more wonderful person to care for our pup. Bucky is a big, energetic dog and she was so thoughtful, caring, and a great leader for him. Gave wonderful pupdates and really put my mind at ease for the whole weekend that we were at our family event. We are forever grateful.”

“Damian is the best! He has looked after our dog for over three weeks while we were away, and he cares for her just like his own dog. Sprite gets daily excised and fun time, and we receive frequent updates on her. Will go back to Damian again!”

“Jasmine was a great sitter for Bella! She was great at communicating, sent us photos, and was so sweet with our senior fur baby. She also was very through in figuring out what she needs, and was able to supply her with anything we forgot to bring. We definitely recommend her!”

“Jacqueline and Roland were wonderful with Remy. They were mindful of his needs and accommodated him beautifully. They sent me pictures to eliminate my anxiety and were always responsive. We had a great experience!”

“Vivian accepted my boarding request asap when I needed last minute help! My shy dog, Fozzie, warmed up to her quickly. Vivian and her husband welcomed me into their home at the start, so I could see where Fozzie would be playing and see him meet their friendly dog, Daisy. It's very reassuring to get that intro. I'd highly recommend Vivian--she's a fantastic sitter!”

About: I can't remember a time without a furry (or occasionally aloof, whiskered) friend by my side. I literally came home from the hospital to a wagging tail — my family's dog was my first welcome committee, and honestly, it's been downhill ever since. In the best way. I've shared my home with cats who ran the place like tiny CEOs, and two dogs who kept me on my toes and taught me more about patience than any human ever has. If you've got a dog who needs zoomies and belly rubs, or a cat who'll deign to acknowledge my existence on her own schedule, I speak both languages fluently. I'm also a proud supporter of the Santa Barbara Humane Society — animals have given me enough joy over the years that giving back isn't optional, it's just what you do. When you leave your pet with me, you're not getting a stranger who "loves animals" in the vague, profile-filler kind of way. You're getting someone who will send you the update photos, learn your dog's weird quirks or your cat's exact opinion of strangers, and treat your critter like my own — because that's the whole job. As someone who's self-employed, I have the flexibility to give your pets the time and attention they deserve. I recently said goodbye to my beloved companion, and while I'm not quite ready to welcome a new furry friend into my own home yet, caring for other people's pets has been incredibly meaningful. It keeps me connected to what I love most while giving me the chance to shower someone else's best friend with all the love and care they need. I live in a cozy casita with a secure, fenced patio area—perfect for outdoor playtime and fresh air. Since I work from home, I'm around throughout the day, which means your pet gets plenty of companionship and supervision. I'm also an active person who loves getting out, so regular walks to the park, beach, or around downtown are part of my routine. Your furry friend will get both the comfort of a home environment and the adventure of exploring Santa Barbara's best spots.
“This was our first time on Rover and we couldn't be happier with our experience. Cheryl was fantastic. She told us upfront exactly what she would do and then she did it. She sent us updates and photos every day and even brought in our mail. We'll be repeat clients for sure. Using Rover was great too. Love the interface and the real-time updates via text and email.”

“She is an excellent sitter for our two cats. This was our second time and we will happily hire her again in future. She goes above and beyond; in the warm weather she visited an additional time just to make sure our cats weren’t too hot. We are comfortable traveling with the knowledge that our kitties are in good hands.”

“This was the third time I’ve had Therese watch my senior cat. Every time has been wonderful! Her updates are thorough and provide plenty of photos. My cat is a bit timid but warmed up to her quickly. I’ve been at ease leaving my clingy cat in such good hands. I’d recommend Therese to anyone needing a caring person to watch after their pets. I’ll be booking her again in the future!”

“Eleanor was amazing in watching my babies when I was away. Thank you for all your help in troubleshooting all my things for them and making sure they were okay. Will definitely book again.”

About: I bring almost a decade of pet care across several different professional facilities. Whether a puppy, unruly, shy, or elderly I've dealt with it all! I've managed chaotic play yards but I love forming strong one-on-one bonds with all furry creatures- I was many a pup's favorite in the yards, especially the ones who were less confident. I am currently open and flexible in order to accomdate a variety of client schedules. Whether you need a regular walker or weekend drop ins I'm your girl! The safety and well being of your dog is always my priority! I have my own rescue dog who came with a few behavioral quirks and have worked with him extensivley to be an upstanding citizen as well as manage his behaviors in general.

“Hannah is so good to our fur babies! She is reliable and flexible and has come in last minute for those surprise bookings that most pet parents come across. We appreciate Miss Hannah and we highly recommend her to anyone looking for a loving caregiver for their pets.”

“Debrah is absolutely AMAZING!! She is so very kind and was so understanding with my last minute booking and trying to get everything together when I had a family emergency. She send me pictures of my cats at every feeding and my usually shy cats took to Debrah right away!! I will definitely be using her again and certainly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, kind, and responsible sitter! Thank you so much Debrah from me and my furry family members!”

About: I have had dogs, cats, bunnies and many other pets throughout my childhood, and am always enthusiastic about feeding, walking, washing, and playing with them. I have helped care for many of my friends and family's pets, and always enjoy taking care of them! I have also cared for many puppies. I am currently a college student, but my schedule is very flexible! I am available to care for the pets on weekends and after 12:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I am willing to care for your pet in what ever way you specify. I can feed, give treats, put the dog in the crate, and take care of the pet however you would like.

“Ashley did a wonderful job caring for my 2 cats while I was away! One of my cats is shy and requires daily medication, and she handled both without any issues. She kept up with feeding, cleaned the litter box, and was very communicative — sending daily pictures and updates that gave me great peace of mind. I highly recommend Ashley as a pet sitter!”

About: I've cared for and lived with dogs of different sizes, ages, and energy levels. I currently own a 5 y/o small dog, Olive, who I regularly go on hikes and do agility training with. I'm highly organized, patient, and detailed-oriented. For every walk and visit, I always take thorough, precise notes to ensure the pups are comfortable, safe, and having an enjoyable time with me. While I love spoiling other people's dogs, I always ask for explicit permission before introducing new treats, routes, or activities. I'm particularly experienced with shy, anxious, and rescue dogs. Because I'm naturally quiet and calm, sensitive dogs tend to feel safe and warm up to me quickly. I am a PhD student in Communication currently writing my dissertation. I work entirely from home with a flexible schedule. I set my own working hours every day, and I can easily make time for walks or visits to meet your needs. I focus on creating a safe, structured, and emotionally consistent space to build trust and respect with the pets I care for. To me, it's important to treat other people's pet the way I want my pet to be treated, and to recognize that each pet is a unique individual. Generally, I maintain your exact routine for feeding, playtime, and walks. That said, every pet has distinct needs. Beyond just strictly sticking to plans, I always monitor their body language and behaviors to make sure they are comfortable, communicating with you to make adjustments along the way.

About: I grew up on a homestead with lots of indoor and outdoor barn cats. I have fostered newborn kittens, provided adequate medical care towards my injured kitties, and most importantly mastered keeping cats as happy as can be!
About: I am a care professional whom has raised several dogs, I currently have a pitty mix at home who is an absolute love and great with other dogs. I have watched dogs and exotic pets (snake, bearded dragon, etc.) for several people while they were out of town and I have raised and walked dogs my entire life (Happy to do neighborhood walks, beach runs, or hikes depending on needs of your dog). I work mostly from home and I have a large fenced backyard for hours of fun outdoor play if you are in need in home boarding for them. I am a lover of all animals and would be honored to love and care for your pet(s) as if they were my own. I work mostly from home (only gone about 2/3 hours maximum on some days) so most of my time would be spent at home playing and caring for your pup. I have a cozy, safe and love filled home with a large fenced back yard and a large community park nearby for all the fun walks. I have a super sweet pup that would love to play with and keep your doggo(s) company. I am happy to accommodate any specific feeding schedules, medical needs, etc. for your pup and will care for and love them like they are my own.

“We had a family emergency and had to travel to the east coast after adopting our new puppy. Chelsi checked in on her, played with her and made sure she felt comfortable before leaving. Chelsi was super responsive, sent photos and always made sure to check in. We appreciated her care so much and will def book her again if given the opportunity. Thank you!!”

About: I’ve owned and cared for pets over the course of my entire life. Dogs are my love and bring such joy into my world. I have always had a natural born connection that cannot really be explained. It’s a magnetism and I’m drawn to them as much as they are to me :). I have a deep understanding and knowledge of a variety of health issues that dogs commonly have including bone, joint, heart, GI issues and dietary restrictions. I’ve experienced quite a bit over the course of my life personally caring for dogs with these issues including blindness & deafness, injuries. I’m mature enough and a mom myself to confidently say that your family would be treated as my own would. I have also cared for and owned a variety of birds, fish, reptiles, bunnies, guinea pigs, chinchilla and then some! ;). Your animals would be loved as my own! Happy to do overnight care on somewhat short notice as well. Live in the Mission canyon area and have a gated yard with space for sun bathing and potty breaks/lizard chasing ;). Reliable car, DL, Insurance etc. - open to running errands, helping around the house (can discuss rate). My schedule is flexible and I’m available for boarding as well overnight with a little notice ahead of time. No problem with house sitting I have a gated yard and no pets. Nice neighborhood with friendly neighbors with dogs that enjoy each other. Local trails close by and the Riviera Theater close and other nice doggy friendly locations!
“This was my first time using rover and leaving my dog for day sitting. Last minute our sitter couldn’t watch our dog, so we brought her with us on our trip to Santa Barbara. We wanted to explore, but did not want to leave her in a motel room, so we looked for a doggie daycare. Honey was responsive and took our dog in last minute. Even on a holiday weekend. I was nervous about my dog having anxiety, but Honey was very friendly and communicated throughout the day to keep me posted about my dog’s day. She is excellent with animals and has a kind nature that dogs can sense. My dog was comfortable and she even got her to eat! Which is something my dog does not do when she’s away from home. Thank you Honey for opening your home to our Roxy.”

“Stacey was able to accommodate a last-minute booking with my two pups for daycare. One of my dogs takes a bit more time to warm up and Stacey was sweet and patient about it. My other little guy made a friend during his visit. Excellent communication, sending updates with pictures/video. I'm looking forward to booking more visits with her!”

“Brad and Carolyn took great care of Annabel for a week. She is a cautious, nervous dog but she was clearly very comfortable with Brad and Carolyn. She will be back!”

“I can't recommend Sandy enough. We were in a bind needing a last-minute sitter, and she was incredibly responsive and flexible. She made the logistics simple. When we picked him up, he was clearly well-cared for and in great spirits. Sandy truly saved the day. Thank you!”

“Nancy was awesome. Our pup is shy and has separation anxiety, Anaconda knee just how to handle her. She is kind, gentle and easy going. Thanks for making this such a great experience for Vaughan.”

“I can’t begin to explain how grateful I am to have met Marty and Lynn. They were so accommodating and even flexible with some last-minute changes. My boy, Todd, was in absolute paradise in their lush backyard. They are so generous to open it up for daycare. I love seeing photos throughout the day of Todd’s relaxing day in their special care. We booked 2 dog sitting days, back to back and the second day when I dropped Todd off he was PULLING so excited to be back! I wish I lived closer and could have Todd see them all the time! They are fabulous dog people and I can’t wait for the next time we are in Santa Barbara.”

“Cheryl has been super great with our puppy, Noxie! Nox is really timid with people but got along really well with Cheryl, she even perked up and wagged her tail the second time. Cheryl is very accommodating of our schedules and has also personally reached out to me to confirm things when my app was having trouble notifying me. She writes really long and detailed reports after each walk and attaches pictures too. We highly recommend Cheryl for dog walking your fur baby!”

“Cody is the best dog walker and sitter that I have found through Rover. He's very communicative, clear, and has a calm demeanor with animals. I have a malinois and Dutch Shepherd mixed breed, which can be intense and intimidating at times. Cody had no problem stepping in and walking my dog. I highly recommend Cody and we'll look him again when I have a need.”

I am willing to care for your pet in what ever way you specify. I can feed, give treats, put the dog in the crate, and take care of the pet however you would like.
About: I’ve had two dogs so far in my life, but the one I adopted 2 years ago was completely raised by my brother and I. I am very familiar with animal caretaking and training due to having pets and I have also done some pet sitting for neighbors and friends. I have experience with both dogs and cats. I love caring for pets! Knowing an animal feels loved and cared for brings me so much joy. I’m available most days as long as I’m aware a few days in advance. I try to plan ahead/schedule to make sure my dog is properly cared for everyday. I add walking my dog to my calendar so she is always given walks and never forgotten about. I feed my pets around the same time everyday and my family switches off on certain care taking jobs such as cleaning the litter box, cleaning up poops outside, baths, etc.
“Aimee is awesome. My dog, Tico, loved her. She is very friendly, reliable, consistent, mature, punctual and a good communicator. She walked Tico for me each day for almost 3 weeks due to foot surgery. I would trust Aimee to take care of my dog if I needed to travel, too.”

About: I’ve been an owner and caretaker of dogs for my entire life. I’m active, thoughtful and responsible in everything I do. Work with me and you’ll never worry about the quality of your dogs care again. My full time job is an entrepreneurial one. As far as work goes I am flexible and able to come and go as I please. I won’t take offers if I’m not able to be present with your pet. I’ve worked with a variety of dogs. Those that are calm, aggressive, nervous etc. Throughout my years of care i’ve adopted different strategies for different dogs and I’ve proven desirable outcomes. I won’t do anything myself or the owner would not be comfortable with and I follow instructions and preferences diligently. If I assume care in your home I always respect the dog and space as if it was my own. A high standard at that.
About: I have trained two large breed puppies as well as cared for and walked dogs of all sizes. I absolutely love getting outside with all dogs! My schedule is very open, I am currently in nursing school and have a long day on Monday, but aside from that I am around the house frequently and am available. I am very caring for everyone’s pup and will follow all instructions and exceed those as well. I love to get outside and go for walks, hikes, or even just throw the ball!

About: I’m reliable and trustworthy, with experience caring for a variety of pets, from small dogs to active 1-year-old labs, as well as cats and chickens. I’ve watched multiple pets at the same time and can handle different needs, including giving medication or keeping up with high-energy animals. I’ve been watching pets since high school and grew up around dogs and cats, so being around animals comes naturally. I’m responsible, patient, and caring, and I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved. I’m a full-time working professional with a very flexible schedule that will allow me to drop in during the day or work from home if an all day shift is needed. Depending on my schedule I may be available for short notice requests and I don’t mind same day cancellation as long as there is no travel involved. I try to treat pets like family, giving them attention, patience, and care so they feel safe and comfortable. Every animal is different, so I adjust to their personality. Whether that is lots of playtime, quiet companionship, or giving them space when they need it. Animals are very intuitive, and I’ve found that bringing calm, loving energy helps them open up and feel at ease. I always pay attention to their body language to make sure they’re happy and well cared for.

“Miguel was great to work with! Kept us informed as well as quick to respond to any questions or comments from us.. We recommend Miguel to anyone who needs pup sitter!”

“Courtney was fabulous with my less than 1lb kitten! This is my first kitten this young, and I was terrified to leave her with anyone. She was abandoned before her eyes were open so I’ve been her mom, bottle feeding her every 2hrs and doing everything a kitten that small needs to survive When a long planned family event came up I had to find someone I would trust to care for my little girl. I honestly didn’t think it would be possible, but the second I met Courtney, I knew she would take as good of care of my baby as I would, and I was right! This was HUGELY terrifying for me, the thought of leaving my very tiny, very vulnerable kitten with a stranger, but after speaking with Courtney on the phone I felt like I’d found someone I could trust with my kitty. I highly recommend Courtney to care for your kitten and or cat. Her home is very kitty friendly and she was amazing with my kitten. I will absolutely be contacting her next time I need my kitten to be cared for.”
