I’ve volunteered at my local animal shelter since I was 12, and it provided me with a wide range of animal care and handling skills. I grew up with a dog and cats, and now I have a cat and snake of my own! I have love for all creatures, and will care for any pet as if it’s my own.

I always make sure to give animals the attention they need, whether that be hugs and snuggles or just food/water and space. I’ve worked with highly aggressive animals (both cats and dogs) as well as plenty of lovebugs. I’m good at keeping an eye on body language and providing pets with the care they need without overdoing it.

What a lifesaver! We were out of town when our senior dog needed a last minute change in boarding on a major holiday. She swooped in and saved the day to take care of our dog. She was a great communicator - sending videos and photos that we really appreciated. Our dog looked visibly relaxed in her care as well. We truly appreciate her care for our dog.
The level of care and attention to detail that Ilana provided was outstanding. She went above and beyond, ensuring that Korra was not only well-fed and exercised but also happy and comfortable. Lana is passionate about animals and has an intuitive sense about her with them. She prioritizes safety, she genuinely enjoys each individual animal and she is careful with honoring instructions. Lana is also a sharp thinker so in difficult situations she is adept at finding solutions. She has a strong work ethic-reliable, on time and she is an excellent communicator. I highly recommend her for your pet care!

Schedule
Just moved to Santa Barbara this week, I’m currently unemployed and start part-time work at a resturant soon so I have a large amount of availability at the moment! I can do drop ins any time of day, sleep at your residence if needed and walk dogs throughout the day. I have a car and can take your pup for a hike or to the beach if you’d like 😊

- Definitely let me know of any injuries/special needs, as well as medications. If you know what activities your dog likes (like fetch or just walking etc) feel free to let me know! If I’ll be administered medication and you have any tricks that work with your specific pet I’d be glad to hear, but if not I’m proficient in giving medication and can make even the fussiest dog get a pill down.
