About: I've had dogs and many other pets my entire life- a boxer, pugs, Akita, Cairn, and a terrier mix with health issues, requiring extra care. I'm recently retired, so pet sitting will be my full time priority. I will devote all my care and attention to your pets, plants and garden. As an avid walker and hiker, I especially enjoy caring for dogs who love outdoor time and exercise. I also love exploring new communities and being in nature, so pet sitting is a great fit-it allows me to care for animals while experiencing new places in a meaningful way. Your pets are always safe with me! I'm a student at SBCC and am taking a couple summer courses that allow me to work from anywhere. I have a very flexible schedule and can do whatever is needed! I have lots of experience housesitting, dog walking, and doing drop-by visits. I've always been very in tune with how animals are feeling and am often very able to tell what they need.

“I am giving Rover.Com & Lisa 10+ STARS. Lisa loves animals. Our dog, Winston, had a good time with Scout (Lisa's puppy). They had a blast together. Winston is a Portuguese Water Dog (55 lbs) and loves people & other dogs. Winston stayed at Lisa's place, not at our home, because we were having our daughter's wedding in a destination place. Our home was far away, and we wanted Winston to go on the 5 hour drive with us and stay near by the wedding site. So, I went on Rover and asked to locate someone in Carpinteria. I found Lisa from Rover.Com living just up the road from the wedding site. Lisa took Winston and Scout to the beach, the park, everywhere and I do not think they were ever bored. Winston had a great time. Lisa always sent photos, and she always responded immediately if you text her. Our beach house rental did not allow pets, so Lisa was my rescue. Winston was just 8 minutes away from where we were staying. It was perfect. Breathtaking surroundings where Winston stayed. Winston and I thank you so very much. You made myself and my family feel comfortable leaving Winston with you while we were busy planning the wedding. You are the BEST. - nancy-”

About: Hi, my name is Basilia, I also go by Juno. Although I don’t have any formal dog experience, I have grown up around dogs all my life. I have experience house/dog sitting for my friends and neighbors in high-school, and even more experience taking care of my families big dogs. Further, I have some experience taking care of senior dogs, as my late Akita spent nearly 5 years on intensive medication. I love playing with dogs, taking them on walks, going to the dog park, and making life good in the safety of their own homes. I’m a student at Santa Barbara City College, but my flexible schedule allows me to spend plenty of time with your animals! I have at least 2-4 hours a day available to spend playing with, walking, or otherwise taking care of your babies. I prioritize pet safety in my care. I listen carefully to your rules about where the animal is/isn’t allowed to go, and can provide intensive support for your animals. I make sure to spend time building trust with the animal using treats or soothing methods upon meeting them, so that they feel safe and comfortable around me.

I basically grew up on a farm caring for animals of all sizes, so I’m comfortable with everything from energetic puppies to senior pets who need patience and gentle handling. I can help with basic puppy training like leash manners, crate training, and reinforcement of commands, and I’m very attentive to consistency and routines. For senior dogs, I’m experienced with slower walks, medication schedules, mobility support, and recognizing changes in behavior or health early. I focus on calm, reliable care, clear communication with owners, and making sure each pet feels safe, understood, and genuinely cared for. Pet care fits well into my schedule as a working professional because I have flexibility outside of my job. I’m typically off on Tuesdays or Thursdays, and Saturdays, which allows me to dedicate those days to longer walks, drop-ins, or extended care. On my working days, I’m usually finished by 6pm, so I’m also available for evening walks and check-ins. I’m able to plan my week in advance and remain consistent and reliable, making sure each pet gets the attention and care they need. In a client’s home, I strictly follow all instructions, maintain the pet’s normal routine, and treat the space with respect and care. I make sure doors, gates, leashes, and entry points are always secure, and I never take unnecessary risks during walks or outings. I pay close attention to each pet’s behavior, energy, and health so I can quickly notice anything unusual and communicate with the owner right away if needed. I also make sure pets are never left unattended in unsafe situations.

About: I've taken care of my own doggo Ripley for 8 years, prior to that many pets in the family growing up. Your pet will be treated like family, receive all the snuggles, exercise, walks, and play time! Must get along okay with other dogs - Ripley is a 15 lb Chihuahua/terrier mix, she loves small and medium sized dogs. We go for long walks everyday ~20-30 min 2x per day. I currently work from home for a software company so I am with the dogs all day! We always walk in the morning after breakfast, a mid-day potty, and sunset walk. I have a fenced yard so they can sun bathe as well during the day while I am working. I have a fenced yard and live in a neighborhood. We go for long walks and they get to smell all the yards and flowers and say hello to other dogs. We will sometimes go to the beach too.
