“This was my first time using rover and leaving my dog for day sitting. Last minute our sitter couldn’t watch our dog, so we brought her with us on our trip to Santa Barbara. We wanted to explore, but did not want to leave her in a motel room, so we looked for a doggie daycare. Honey was responsive and took our dog in last minute. Even on a holiday weekend. I was nervous about my dog having anxiety, but Honey was very friendly and communicated throughout the day to keep me posted about my dog’s day. She is excellent with animals and has a kind nature that dogs can sense. My dog was comfortable and she even got her to eat! Which is something my dog does not do when she’s away from home. About: I’ve owned and cared for pets over the course of my entire life. Dogs are my love and bring such joy into my world. I have always had a natural born connection that cannot really be explained. It’s a magnetism and I’m drawn to them as much as they are to me :). I have a deep understanding and knowledge of a variety of health issues that dogs commonly have including bone, joint, heart, GI issues and dietary restrictions. I’ve experienced quite a bit over the course of my life personally caring for dogs with these issues including blindness & deafness, injuries. I’m mature enough and a mom myself to confidently say that your family would be treated as my own would. I have also cared for and owned a variety of birds, fish, reptiles, bunnies, guinea pigs, chinchilla and then some! ;). Your animals would be loved as my own! Happy to do overnight care on somewhat short notice as well. Live in the Mission canyon area and have a gated yard with space for sun bathing and potty breaks/lizard chasing ;). Reliable car, DL, Insurance etc. - open to running errands, helping around the house (can discuss rate). My schedule is flexible and I’m available for boarding as well overnight with a little notice ahead of time. No problem with house sitting I have a gated yard and no pets. Nice neighborhood with friendly neighbors with dogs that enjoy each other. Local trails close by and the Riviera Theater close and other nice doggy friendly locations!

About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was 10. I have been a dog walker for my family, who has always had 3-4 large dogs. I have taken hundreds of beach walks/neighborhood walks with my own dogs and neighbors dogs that I have been asked to watch. I currently work remote and have time to stay with the dog for longer periods of time, I love taking long walks especially. I have more time on weekdays as I take frequent walks, I often leave town on the weekends or am out of the house. I have a yard, but it is not fenced. I would keep the dog inside with me at all times and always keep an eye on him/her. On walks I will always be attentive and keep the dog on leash as needed/required.

I have had rescue dogs my entire life including labs, German short haired pointers, and various mixed breeds small and large including older dogs. I am available early mornings, late afternoons and evenings, overnight and weekends. I unfortunately cannot provide services to agressive dogs and or pit bull or related breeds.
