I live near State street in downtown Santa Barbara and can watch your dog while you visit. I like dogs so much I would probably do this for free! I’m available in Santa Barbara, Montecito and Goleta areas. I’m also experienced property manager if you need other things checked on while away. I grew up in a family with lots of pets and had my own dog for a long time. I am an animal person, my wife and I have 4 chickens that are kept in an enclosure. Both our front and back yards are fenced in. I’m familiar with everything from puppy care to senior dog care, cat feeding systems, medications, dietary restrictions and allergies.

Joshua is super friendly and even offered us tips on what to do in Santa Barbara, and which restaurants were dog friendly. He was very good with our dog Cocoa, and I don't think she even noticed that we were gone! We really appreciated Joshua's flexibility in terms of timing for the doggy daycare and would use him again if we were back in Santa Barbara.

Josh has taken care of my pup for multiple weekends and he always returns happier and more tired than I left him. My dog has a tough time detaching from his parents, but after one stay with Josh he can't wait for us to leave when we drop him off for future adventures.

My job allows me to work from home so my schedule is pretty open. I’m available in Montecito, Santa Barbara and Goleta areas. Would consider other areas as well.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a front and back yard that are both fenced in. I do not have any other pets. We have a small chicken coop with four chickens in the back yard that are kept in an enclosure, separate from the area we allow dogs. The chickens get really freaked out by dogs so we keep them locked up and away during dog visits. I am about half a mile from the beach and can take longer beach walks by requests.
A typical day
I love staying active outside and can take dogs on long walks, hikes or beach trips. I have a dog friendly vehicle with pet barriers on rear seats just in case.
