“I'm so happy that I found Honey! She and her pup Rosie were a great match for Bucky. Honey sent photos and updates often, and was very quick to respond. She was intuative with Bucky's needs and I knew he was in great hands. She has a comfortable home and bed that Bucky didn't want to get out of. This is my first experience on this app and I have no hesitation leaving Bucky with her in the future. Thanks again honey! A++”
“Bradley and Carolyn were fantastic sitters for Rocky. They kept him super active and entertained all three days of daycare, and Rocky came home very happy and tired each evening. Their location was super convenient for travelers staying or visiting in downtown Santa Barbara. Will definitely use again!”

About: Hello, my name is Sandy and I am looking forward to taking care of your furry friend. I was born and raised in SB. After graduating from Cal Poly, I traveled the world and ended up settling in New Zealand where I had a small farm for 20 years. I raised 4 day old calves and bred our mares that produced 8 foals on our property. We had goats and ducks and chickens and of course we had dogs! And cats and one pig too. I trained and “gentled” our green horses (no breaking!) Bottle fed the calves and also mothered them on to nurse cows. Encountered many different aliments along the way from bowel troubles to twisted bowels to breech deliveries and blocked udders. We learned a lot! What does that have to do with taking care of your beloved doggie I hear you say? Patience, problem solving and the ability to cope with challenges under pressure. Also a deep love and appreciation of mother nature and animals. Like most other animal lovers, I’ve had dogs of all kinds and pets all my life. Our first family dog when I was a kid was called Sputnik which tells you how long ago that was! Maybe my next will be Artemis 😃 I am semi retired but still enjoy working and set my own schedule so I am available weekdays and weekends. Your pet will be well looked after. I love to go to the beach and will look forward to taking your furry friend with me. Shoreline Park is another favorite daily walk activity and just minutes away. My condo has a small fenced yard and a comfortable home for your doggie’s vacation. I live on the mesa in the Highlands with lots of easy walking just outside the front door and in the Honda Preserve so your pet will have plenty of short walks. I have been a dog owner all my life but when my last dog Nates, the absolute best dog in the world my children and I rescued from the animal shelter, left the planet for dog heaven, I couldn’t bring myself to get another and my children were all grown so I very much enjoy taking care of other’s pets.
“Another Great experience with Haven. Easy pick up and drop off, she updated me throughout the day and sent photos from their adventures! My pup was exhausted which only makes the Rest of my day easier as well. I wholeheartedly recommend her as a caretaker for your doggo and loom forward to scheduling again!”

“Ryan was very flexible and great with Zoey. Zoey went on many outings and was well cared for. I appreciated the pictures and updates. Zoey had a blast and was sad to leave. Ryan is very friendly and easy to work with.”

“Sophia was great with our 4 month old puppy. Sophia took great care of her, sent us updates and photos throughout the day, and was very easy to communicate with. We would definitely work with Sophia again in the future.”
About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was 10. I have been a dog walker for my family, who has always had 3-4 large dogs. I have taken hundreds of beach walks/neighborhood walks with my own dogs and neighbors dogs that I have been asked to watch. I currently work remote and have time to stay with the dog for longer periods of time, I love taking long walks especially. I have more time on weekdays as I take frequent walks, I often leave town on the weekends or am out of the house. I have a yard, but it is not fenced. I would keep the dog inside with me at all times and always keep an eye on him/her. On walks I will always be attentive and keep the dog on leash as needed/required.
About: Hello and welcome to my profile! I am excited to meet you and your dog. I've been yearning for a dog for years now, but can't seem to pull the trigger. When I began pet sitting frequently for various friends, I realized how much I missed dog energy. I figured since I am always going on walks and asking friends to play with their animals, I might as well try to make a career out of what I love! If your dog doesn't get along well with other dogs, or needs constant attention, I am your gal! Since I currently don't have any animals myself, I can ensure your fur baby has my full and undivided attention. I adore long walks and spending time outdoors, so high energy dogs will do great under my care. I am happy to provide a reference for you to contact. Your pets are treated like family! I grew up with a dog my whole life and know how to feed, care for, exercise, and bathe them. I currently work remotely 8am-4pm daily. I got on two walks during the day- one on my lunch break and one after work! I am looking for a home to stay in while I dog sit. I live in a 1st floor house with a grassy park near, but no yard. It is a roomy apartment with just one other roommate. Apart from that we have no other pets.
About: I grew up with the responsibility of taking care of my family dogs growing up, so they have always been a big, loving part of my life. As an adult, I have lived with 3 different dogs and have helped raised two from pups. I am always the go-to dog sitter for all my friends when they are out of town since I live a very active lifestyle. I’m always out for walks on the town (or runs) if that is your dogs cup of tea. I absolutely adore doggos and would treat yours as if they are my own! I am a musician in town and work sporadically playing shows on the weekends. My schedule during the week is super flexible as I am home writing/working on music. I run/walk daily and can accommodate these to your pets schedule with ease. I live with my boyfriend in 3 bedroom apartment with a small yard out back. He is also a dog-lover and was as excited as me for signing up for this app! My landlords do not have an issue with there being dogs on property. We are a short walk to the Mission Park in Downtown Santa Barbara.
“Jacob and his wife are wonderful to work with. They cared for our Bella, and sent us pictures and updates throughout the day. This is our 2nd time working together and we highly recommend them!”

“Nicole and Ethan were great communicators throughout our stay and so very caring! Our pup had a great time with them and their dog, and we enjoyed our vacation knowing she was in good hands.”

“Tory was wonderful caring for our Hans! He is a little shy/timid at first but he warmed up to her really quickly. I felt at ease having such a calming presence to care for Hans!”

“I have been fostering a very darling 8 year old Pomeranian and was in need of day time care. I found Elizabeth here on Rover very close to my house and she was so easy to get connected with almost immediately. I was able to quickly check her references, and I felt such relief knowing she was so trustworthy and could come pick up Bebe to take care of her while I tended to work. Her communication and flexibility are just what I needed - cannot recommend enough. Thank you!!”

“Courtney took great care of my two anxious little rescue pups! I could tell they had a relaxing time staying with her, which is no small thing, since they tend to get very nervous with a new sitter. I would definitely use Courtney’s services again.”

“Our dog appeared to have had a nice time with Stephanie. When he saw us at pick up, he gave us a joyful greeting--but turned back to her to get a last snuggle goodbye. That's a good sign! We appreciated her flexibility with our schedule. We will use her again.”

“Josh has watched my dog Chief a few times now and it’s always such an incredibly positive experience. He is so kind and competent and goes above and beyond to care for my dog. I have come to really trust him completely with my fur baby. Thank you Josh!”

Absolutely wonderful experience with Rebecca! I could tell right away that she would take great care of my pup—her enthusiasm and genuine love for dogs really shines through. She was incredibly communicative throughout the day and sent great photo updates, which gave me so much peace of mind. My dog was happy, well cared for, and clearly had a great time. I can’t recommend Rebecca enough and will absolutely book with her again!

Your pup will be in great hands with Ryan! We loved seeing updates throughout the day of our dog having fun with other dogs in the backyard. It was also great to know there are multiple outdoor and indoor areas if the dogs needed space from each other. We were relaxed because we knew she was being well cared for and she came home happy and tired after a big day of fun.

Megan was AMAZING! Very attentive and accommodating. Our concert was late to start and she was ok with keeping our puppy later than we had originally expected. We really appreciated her willingness to keep our fur baby safe and happy! Definitely recommend! Wonderful family! Thanks Megan!

This was my first time using rover and leaving my dog for day sitting. Last minute our sitter couldn’t watch our dog, so we brought her with us on our trip to Santa Barbara. We wanted to explore, but did not want to leave her in a motel room, so we looked for a doggie daycare. Honey was responsive and took our dog in last minute. Even on a holiday weekend. I was nervous about my dog having anxiety, but Honey was very friendly and communicated throughout the day to keep me posted about my dog’s day. She is excellent with animals and has a kind nature that dogs can sense. My dog was comfortable and she even got her to eat! Which is something my dog does not do when she’s away from home. Thank you Honey for opening your home to our Roxy.

I’m so grateful for Vivian & Taylor helping me out with Max. And it was a huge plus that my dog got to have a play date with Daisy! Communication was easy and clear. I had to make a last minute modification in my schedule & they were accommodating. They asked if Max had any special medical needs & let me see their home & backyard. I loved the updates—they sent photos & videos and I could tell Max was truly having a blast. I would highly recommend & would definitely book again!

This was our first time using Rover and we were a little hesitant about the whole process especially since our fur baby is timid and sometimes anxious. However, Saychelle was very sweet, communicative, and accommodating and quickly put me at ease. From the moment my husband dropped her off, we knew she was the perfect fit. If we are ever in the Santa Barbara area again, Saychelle will be our go to dog sitter.

Joshua is super friendly and even offered us tips on what to do in Santa Barbara, and which restaurants were dog friendly. He was very good with our dog Cocoa, and I don't think she even noticed that we were gone! We really appreciated Joshua's flexibility in terms of timing for the doggy daycare and would use him again if we were back in Santa Barbara.

Tonka often gets nervous around new people, but when meeting Tory, she immediately walked up to her for pets, heading straight up the stairs and into Tory's apartment. We could tell from all of the photos Tory shared that Tonka was super happy and content in her company. We'd have no hesitation booking Tory again.

Bradley and Carolyn were fantastic sitters for Rocky. They kept him super active and entertained all three days of daycare, and Rocky came home very happy and tired each evening. Their location was super convenient for travelers staying or visiting in downtown Santa Barbara. Will definitely use again!
