“I initially ran into Cheryl at the beach and we let our dogs play for a while before I realized she was a dog walker. I immediately wanted to book with Cheryl after having to gottent to know her and how attentive and friendly she was with the dog she was currently walking. I'm so happy I did! She walks my dog Bailey and does a great job and shows her new places she's never been before! She's very responsive and it's very clear how much she cares and strives for the highest quality of work.”

“Thankful for Benjamin and fitting us into his schedule for a last-minute dog-walking booking. He took great care of our dog and was easy to communicate with. Our dog got into the creek on one of his walks with Benjamin, and Benjamin did such a good job cleaning up our dog after his dip. We will book again when needed.”

About: **Relocating to the Portland, Oregon area summer of 2026! Please reach out to me if you are in the vicinity in OR/WA. Will have limited availability in Santa Barbara** I’ve cared for animals my whole life and naturally connect with them. I’m calm, patient, and attentive, and I take time to understand each pet’s personality and needs. I also cared for my own senior dog for years, who lived to 15, which meant administering medications, moving at her pace, keeping routines gentle, and making sure she stayed comfortable and healthy in her senior years. I have experience caring for senior cats as well, and I’m very comfortable supporting animals that need extra patience or special attention. I keep a clean space, and pride myself on being responsible and reliable. I’ve watched multiple dogs at once in other people’s homes, from high-energy pups who love adventure to low-energy or anxious dogs who need quiet reassurance. Your pet will get genuine companionship, safety, and lots of love. I am relocating to the Portland, Oregon area this summer, and am so excited! I will be working only part time from home this summer, and therefore will have full availability to stay at your home and care for your pets. Would love to help you with your summer plans and allow for you to travel where you need to go while your pets and your home are in good hands. I plan to spend my days exploring the hiking trails so if your dog likes hikes and can join, I’d love that! Other than that, I’ll be spending most of my time enjoying the Portland neighborhoods and chilling with your pets. In my home, pets get a cozy, clean space, plenty of check-ins, and a steady routine with meals, fresh water, play breaks, walks, and lounging together. I make sure they feel like part of the household and never rushed or ignored. In your home, I make sure everything stays clean, calm, and consistent. I follow your routines and instructions exactly, from feeding and meds to favorite toys or bedtime rituals. Whether your pet wants adventure or quiet comfort, I match their vibe and keep them happy until you return.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and it’s all I know! I often watch my sisters dog and volunteer at the humane society when I can. I work from home that can get very stale and would love to use my flexibility to care/spend more time with other pets for anyone that could use the extra help! I also just love animals so much I currently work full time 9 to 5pm however I work from home/ work from anywhere so I have a ton of flexibility for multiple walks a day/ feedings etc. I’m also always happy to help on a Saturday or Sunday too Caring for pets in someone else’s home I always try to keep their routine as similar as possible with asking all the questions ( such as how long does your pet like to be walked, what treats are appropriate, do they like car rides etc )
About: I’ve taken care and house trained dogs for over 15 years. Friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed and bathe their pets. Fur babies thrive on routine and respond to a set schedule for feeding, walking, playtime, and bedtime. I’m currently working part time and I’m able to schedule myself my own hours. So I’ll have plenty of time to play and dedicate myself to your pups. I provide care in your home, secure yard, or neighborhood as that’s where your pet is most familiar / comfortable. I ask you to please let me know if they have any special needs, if there are other local pets or people they do or do not get along with.

About: I’m reliable and trustworthy, with experience caring for a variety of pets, from small dogs to active 1-year-old labs, as well as cats and chickens. I’ve watched multiple pets at the same time and can handle different needs, including giving medication or keeping up with high-energy animals. I’ve been watching pets since high school and grew up around dogs and cats, so being around animals comes naturally. I’m responsible, patient, and caring, and I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved. I’m a full-time working professional with a very flexible schedule that will allow me to drop in during the day or work from home if an all day shift is needed. Depending on my schedule I may be available for short notice requests and I don’t mind same day cancellation as long as there is no travel involved. I try to treat pets like family, giving them attention, patience, and care so they feel safe and comfortable. Every animal is different, so I adjust to their personality. Whether that is lots of playtime, quiet companionship, or giving them space when they need it. Animals are very intuitive, and I’ve found that bringing calm, loving energy helps them open up and feel at ease. I always pay attention to their body language to make sure they’re happy and well cared for.
About: I've always had animals and love them all. I've cared for dogs, cats, birds, fish, small animals, reptiles, and horses. My passions are rescue and bringing out the best in the scared and anxious pets I deal with in shelter and hospital. My other jobs are extremely flexible and allow me to make my own schedule, which means more availability to volunteer at shelters and care for your babies. I have 1 friendly small dog and 3 cats. My home is their sanctuary. We do frequent walks and trips to trails and beaches. I prefer to let the furbabies snuggle with us, but I have crates up to XL available if needed.
About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of dogs since I was 8, whether that be my own dogs, friends or neighbors dogs. I’m experienced with dogs of all breeds and sizes, with feeding and walking them, and I just love hanging out with them! I have plenty of time to take care of dogs at any point in the day, my schedule is very flexible so I can almost always make things work! About: I have been around and cared for dogs since I was in middle school. I have a deep care for dogs and believe giving them the absolute best life while they are with us is the only way to engage with them. I have a knack for training, it somewhat comes natural to me and I have the patience for it. Im happy to work with your dog to either reinforce or teach commands/tricks. Recently, I left my corporate job. I am taking time off to assess my next career move. Which means I have wide open flexibility and need to take walks to keep thinking. What a better way to do that than to have a walking companion! I do not have pets which means all of my attention goes to yours! There are two couches, a bed and a patio for your babe to enjoy. I am available around the clock to play, walk, teach.
About: My entire life I have been surrounded by the best furry family. We had well trained, obedient and incredibly kind dogs growing up. I wished upon a star at 10 years old and voila, I got my first golden retriever puppy as a present a few weeks later. Duke Skywalker was my first big responsibility, from working on potty training to letting him off leash on hikes and on the beach. He trusted me and I trusted him. During the pandemic, he was getting older and I did what I could to help him feel comfortable and loved. Even when he wasn’t able to walk, I’d place him in the back of the car and just sit with him watching the waves cuddled up with blankets. Must have patience with the older pups, and I loved every minute. I have trained my family’s adopted pups and they caught on fast. My roommate has a cat who I help care and train for when she is out of town for work, who knew training a cat actually works. Persistence, love and patience is key! I’m currently in between jobs, figuring out if I want a career switch. I have been wanting to surround myself with pets and helping anyone who needs it. I understand not having as much time as one would like, therefore happy to lend a hand in helping walk, feed, sit, even cuddle if your pet allows. I have a big space in my home and love to go outside and enjoy the fresh air, especially if it’s along the beach on a sunny day. In a client’s home, I would play with my new furry friend in the yard if they have or research nearby safe dog parks, or parks to walk with them to. And if the dogs or cats allow, always up for cuddles when sitting on the couch ‘Netflix & chilling’!
About: EXPERIENCE: My last dogs (who recently left the planet) were 85 lb Pit Bulls, so I get challenging (but amazing!) dogs. Before that, I had a wonderful Lab/Border Collie, so I get dogs who need a lot of exercise every day. He was also fairly non-ambulatory for a few years, so I’ve done a lot of senior dog care. Currently, I walk and foster dogs at the SB County Shelter to fill my dog void. ME: I love all animals, probably more than people. I’ve had, and cared for, dogs, cats, horses, rabbits… PERKS/ENVIRONMENT: I work at home, so your dog will have company most of the day. My completely fenced in yard was made for dogs to play. The back door is open so they can go in and out as they please, sniff around, lay in the sun... I love to walk, hike, and go to the beach, which are all better with a dog! I’m super responsible, especially when it comes to the well-being of furry creatures. While your dog/animal is in my care, I will care for them like my own. NOTE: I’m new to Rover, so may not have all the references, but can provide them for you.
About: I grew up with the responsibility of taking care of my family dogs growing up, so they have always been a big, loving part of my life. As an adult, I have lived with 3 different dogs and have helped raised two from pups. I am always the go-to dog sitter for all my friends when they are out of town since I live a very active lifestyle. I’m always out for walks on the town (or runs) if that is your dogs cup of tea. I absolutely adore doggos and would treat yours as if they are my own! I am a musician in town and work sporadically playing shows on the weekends. My schedule during the week is super flexible as I am home writing/working on music. I run/walk daily and can accommodate these to your pets schedule with ease. I live with my boyfriend in 3 bedroom apartment with a small yard out back. He is also a dog-lover and was as excited as me for signing up for this app! My landlords do not have an issue with there being dogs on property. We are a short walk to the Mission Park in Downtown Santa Barbara.
About: I’m a proud “dog uncle” to dozens of pups. With experience in raising and co-owning dogs, I treat every dog with love, patience, and fun. My schedule is currently very flexible for virtually any day (other than when I’m out of town of course). Happy to discuss what you’re looking for and accommodating all I can. I have a cat so I’m not able to take pets to my home since it’s also the kitty’s home and I don’t want to put her out. That being said, I’ve taken care of many pets at others people’s houses and I’m available to walk dogs while also providing some training if desired.
About: Dogs have played such an important part of my life, taking care of others pet babies has become something I truly love! I will with a full heart run, walk or hike with your dog! I’ve had mostly larger dogs in my life but love the sweetie little guys too. I am very experienced in house sitting with pets and value your home and your babies like they are my own. I work full time at Cottage Hospital. I work four ten hour shifts a week. I have weekends off and one additional weekday that I would love to spend time with your fur baby! My home does not allow pets unfortunately making taking care of yours a special treat for my heart! I am very communicative, clean and will happily follow the needs of the pets and the home as requested.

“Nick and Julie have been wonderful walkers for my dog! They responded quickly when I first reached out and were available to do a meet and greet quickly which I appreciated. They have been attentive to my dog’s needs and he seems very happy in their care. Love having them as my dog walkers!”

“James was great for Apache. He was on time, communicated throughout and sent me lots of photos which I appreciated very much. James even went out of his way to take Apache for a few car rides (with my permission of course) for different walk destinations. Overall James has been amazing! I will definitely get James to walk Apache again and recommend him to anyone.”
