“Lynn and Marty are dog people through and through. They are so welcoming and took such great care of my Doberman, also while he was injured. Their yard is perfect for backyard adventures and I would absolutely book with them again. Thank you so much!”

“Candice was very accommodating as this was our first Rover booking. We were nervous about leaving our dog as he has never been kenneled but it worked out perfect. Candice has other small dogs and our dog seemed curious and relaxed after arriving. I would highly recommend Candice and she seems to genuinely care about animals.”

“Danielle was awesome...she accepted the booking with little notice, and took such great care of Skye. He had playtime in the yard & walks....he was a very happy boy. Danielle kept me updated with photos....would definitely recommend!”

“Our doggie had such a great time with Jacob!! Their dog Mango was such a great buddy and we got many great pic and video updates. Super responsive and communicative. Great vibes, highly recommend!”

“Amber was wonderful and attentive. She runs a tight ship with dogs of all sizes, and knows what she can handle. We had a great meet n greet at the local park so she could become acquainted with our doggo. We were fully confident of his care. This is her business. She takes their well-being seriously and the dogs always have an eye on them. Plenty of exercise and excursions around the neighborhood are incorporated daily. We would love to have our doggo vacation with Amber again.”

“Cheryl was wonderful while I was away visiting family. It was my first time using Rover.com and what a wonderful experience! My pup Evey seemed to have a blast and I felt very comfortable leaving her with Cheryl and her precious pup Honey. Cheryl even sent pics of Evey while I was gone and kept me posted on how she was doing. I was very pleased with this experience and would highly recommend Cheryl. I will be using her again in the future!”

About: Hello, I'm Clara! I'm a college senior home for the summer, looking to help out fellow pet owners. I've taken care of a myriad of pets, all with different personalities and temperaments, throughout my entire life (dogs, cats, chickens, horses, etc) I love working with animals, big or small, and will ensure the safety and happiness of your pets! I have complete availability, so I have plenty of time to play with your pups and give them my full and undivided attention! In addition to walking your dogs around the neighborhood or playing in the yard, I can drive to many nearby walking routes. I live at home where we have a large, fully fenced yard with plenty of both shade and sun. We have 2 friendly dogs and 2 rarely seen cats. The neighborhood is very walkable, and the beach is closeby!
“Jorrit helped me out super last minute with a pop up work trip and my Dooney had a blast! He came home ready sleep because he got to play so much. Couldn’t recommend more”

“Cohl stayed with Jeanine last Saturday and had a great time. She opened her heart and home to my little old lady! And her pups were just as sweet!! This was my first time using this site and I don't think I will find another Jeanine! Cohl is around 12 and is having some health issues. Jeanine has the patience and heart of a saint! ”

“Miguel took good care of our sweet dog. We received photos & confirmation of her well being. He seemed sensitive to her needs. We will definitely request that he take care of her in the future.”

“Adela was wonderful! She was very accommodating with our busy schedule while visiting family in Santa Barbara. Our dog Lena enjoyed her time with Adela and her sweet dog Larry.”

“Thanks Ada! I am so glad our tuna had fun kids to play with and a nice big yard to run around in. We very much appreciated the updates while we were away from our most precious pup! I will have to find out what new tricks the girls taught him. So far he seems happy to be home and cuddle. Thanks again for making everything about our trip so easy and for loving tuna so much. We will definitely call you when we need to go out of town again.”

“Mallory was nothing short of incredible taking care of Gus. She is attentive, caring, responsible and communicative. Highly recommend her and looking forward to working with her again.”

“Kay is awesome. My pups liked her right away, and our boy Moose snuggled with her at night. They also enjoyed her yard, it was the perfect size for two 10lb dogs. Our girl loved playing frisbee on the grass. Moose liked to sniff and explore. We would highly recommend Kay.”

“Wow, words can not even express how pleased we were with Claudias care and attention to details about making our pup fee welcome and part of the pack! She even made an awesome goodie bag with little pictures of his stay. They gave him organic home made trays by Claudia and he absolutely loves them. Thank you so much for watching our fur baby and if we need a sitter again, you will be the first amazing sitter that will come to mind. I highly recommend Claudia to care for your dog!! 10/10!!”

Danielle was amazing! We were in a bind and our puppy wasn’t feeling well during our vacation. Danielle was a lifesaver. She not only came to pick him up but sent regular updates to let us know how he was doing. She handled his tummy troubles like a pro and was calm, reassuring and confident. She helped his anxiety with comfort, snuggles and walks. We are so glad we found her and will definitely book her again in the future! Highly recommend.

Jeanine is awesome! Great communication getting the dog sitting set-up. As soon as I arrived at Jeanine's home, I was immediately put at ease. She is warm and kind and our dog Lola happily went into the house with her. Jeanine sent me an update and photo later that evening and again in the morning. Lola looked relaxed and happy in Jeanine's care. Highly recommend!

I felt very comfortable leaving my baby with Stephanie right away her little dog got along with my dog perfect and he didn't even look back when I left so I know that he was in a good spot and I picked him up and he was having a great time he was tuckered out that night I will definitely visit Stephanie again

Adela is a fantastic dog sitter and gave us great peace of mind on our vacation! She and her daughter gave our dog care and cuddles, and even took her for a hike and to the beach. Our dog gets nervous when we’re away and stops eating, but Adela handled that like a champ. It’s always hard to leave your pet with a new person, but Adela made the whole process as easy and comfortable as possible. I can’t recommend her enough!

We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Lauren! Our 8 year-old Golden was so clearly well cared for and happy during her stay with their younger Phoebe. Lauren was responsive, attentive, and kept us updated with messages and photos, which gave us real peace of mind. It’s obvious she truly loves dogs and treats them like their own. We look forward to using her services again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, responsible dog sitter.

We were looking for a dog sitter on a visit to SB and were thrilled to see Eve on Rover. We knew Eve from many years ago and knew that we could trust her to care for our dog, Daphne. Daphne is not a beginner dog. She is a guarding/working breed mix. Once you earn her trust, she is an absolute sweetheart. But, you have to do the work to earn her trust. We scheduled a meet & greet with Eve. She accommodated us rescheduling it after Daphne got skunked, twice, on our trip. At the meet & greet, Eve took time to sit down with us, understand Daphne, give her time to adjust, feed her treats, take her for a walk, hang out with her for several hours while we left for dinner, and ultimately earn her trust. Daphne stayed with Eve for three days over Labor Day weekend. She had a great time. Eve sent regular photo updates. Daphne loved playing with Eve's dog, Penny. And, when we came to pick her up, Daphne seemed so happy and at ease. Eve gets our highest recommendation and I hope that Daphne will get the opportunity to visit on future SB trips.

Erika took excellent care of our senior dog, who is 19 years old. She had a video meeting with us beforehand and understood his needs. She was very communicative through the Rover app before and during the boarding ,and sent us photos and videos of our dog. We were worry free attending an event in Santa Barbara, because we knew our dog was in good hands with Erika. We highly recommend Erika!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
