“Deandra and her family took wonderful care of my 5 month old puppy over the holidays. Charlie stayed with Deandra for 10 days and was given so much care and attention. She loved playing with their dog in the front yard, which was great socialization and tuckered Charlie out! Deandra sent daily updates which made me feel comforted to leave her for an extended timeframe. I highly recommend Deandra and plan to book her again!”

“Our fur babies stayed with Alexandra and Billy during our vacation in Santa Barbara. They were very accommodating during our time there. We were able to pick our pups, spend time with them and drop them off again. Our pups were happy and well taken care of. We will definitely contact them again on future visits to the area.”

“Marc took excellent care of our dog. We had a last minute cancellation with a different dog sitter but Marc came to our rescue. His communication was great and overall we are happy customers. 2 paws up!”

“Our pups had the best week with Cooper and Nora! They were given so much love and were treated like part of the family. I appreciated all the pictures and the clear communication. We will definitely be back!”

“My active and playful cattle dog had a wonderful time with Lynn and Marty. They made her feel at home immediately - opening up a treasure trove of doggie toys and giving her a warm and cosy spot to chill out when she needed it. On a very rainy weekend they made sure she still got to run around in their big and safe yard with ball throwing and fetch. At night they followed her usual routine at bedtime with great success -a good nights sleep had by all. I am very happy I have found Lynn and Marty as a home away from home for Darling.”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs, young and old, and think the absolute world of these beautiful animals. I recently parted ways with my soul dog when he passed in March and have missed him every moment since. Despite this loss, I have not lost my love for dogs. Caring for your baby would be an absolute privilege and joy for me, and I promise to love and look out for them as my own. I work in home health healthcare but am typically available every morning before 10am and every afternoon after 4pm. My days can be flexible where I can check in periodically as well— I am happy to coordinate as needed. I’m also off every Wednesday and am available over overnight stays. I welcome dogs into the home as well and am always willing to take them out to the beach, on trails, and any adventures in general!
About: Growing up my mother would call me Dr Doolittle because animals are naturally attracted to me. I grew up on a ranch in the mountains of Santa Barbara and still have property there and take my dog Dory on hikes and beach walks. I love animals and am happiest when I’m surrounded by them always have. I work mainly from home so I have plenty of time to care for your dog. I will do my best to accommodate your schedule which I know can be last minute. Happy to help out. I have a fenced yard and my mini Dashboard Dory will keep your dog company and show them around our big back yard with a hill to explore.
“Ashly was amazing!! She is super communicative and responsive, and I felt so comfortable and safe leaving my pup with her. He came home happy and well loved. We would absolutely trust her with our pup again!”

“Ellen was amazing! my little dog needed medication administered and some special attention and Ellen handled it no problem. We highly recommend her and will have our little dog stay with her next time we leave!”

About: Hello, my name is Sandy and I am looking forward to taking care of your furry friend. Like most other animal lovers, I’ve had dogs of all kinds and pets all my life. I have patience, problem solving skills and the ability to cope with challenges under pressure. Also a deep love and appreciation of mother nature and animals. I am semi retired but still enjoy working and set my own schedule so I am available weekdays and weekends. Your pet will be well looked after. I love to go to the beach and will look forward to taking your furry friend with me. Shoreline Park is another favorite daily walk activity and just minutes away. My condo has a small fenced yard and a comfortable home for your doggie’s vacation. I live on the mesa in the Highlands with lots of easy walking just outside the front door and in the Honda Preserve so your pet will have plenty of short walks. I have been a dog owner all my life but when my last dog Nates, the absolute best dog in the world my children and I rescued from the animal shelter, left the planet for dog heaven, I couldn’t bring myself to get another and my children were all grown so I very much enjoy taking care of other’s pets.
“My Teddy Bear enjoyed his stay at Amber's house! He had a ball running around in her big, fenced in backyard and playing with her two girls! Teddy also enjoyed a nature walk! Amber's home is comfortable and she provided a very nice stay for my pup. She even gave me fresh eggs from her chickens! I highly recommend Amber and would not hesitate to use her again!”

“Svetlana was a dream and our little guy loved staying with her. They went on adventures, walks and had a lot of fun together. She sent us tons of videos and pictures to make sure we were updated. I can tell she adores dogs and takes really good care of them :)”

“Jacqueline and Roland were wonderful with Remy. They were mindful of his needs and accommodated him beautifully. They sent me pictures to eliminate my anxiety and were always responsive. We had a great experience!”

“John & Cathrine Are the best ‼️ I left my puppy 5 1/2 months over night and she loved it . John worked with my Sassy and taught her to Sit 💯🏆 iv been truly blessed to have found the Best sitters for my fur baby”

“Danielle is one of those rare people who immediately puts both dogs and their humans at ease. She took exceptional care of my rescue French Bulldog, Giani, who struggles with separation anxiety and can require a bit of extra patience and understanding. Danielle went above and beyond, even adjusting her schedule to accommodate his needs. Her calm demeanor, confidence, and extensive experience with dogs, including those with special needs, were evident from the start. Throughout Giani’s stay, I felt completely reassured that he was in caring and capable hands. I am deeply grateful for the care she provided and recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone seeking a truly outstanding dog sitter.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Carpinteria
Deandra was an amazing host to my senior dog Maui! When we come back to visit my sister we plan on using her again. My dog runs anxious and has separation anxiety. Deandra was able to keep her calm and comfortable. Between her experience and the loving environment she provides, it was the perfect place for our dog to board.

Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
