About: Hello, my name is Sandy and I am looking forward to taking care of your furry friend. Like most other animal lovers, I’ve had dogs of all kinds and pets all my life. I have patience, problem solving skills and the ability to cope with challenges under pressure. Also a deep love and appreciation of mother nature and animals. I am semi retired but still enjoy working and set my own schedule so I am available weekdays and weekends. Your pet will be well looked after. I love to go to the beach and will look forward to taking your furry friend with me. Shoreline Park is another favorite daily walk activity and just minutes away. My condo has a small fenced yard and a comfortable home for your doggie’s vacation. I live on the mesa in the Highlands with lots of easy walking just outside the front door and in the Honda Preserve so your pet will have plenty of short walks. I have been a dog owner all my life but when my last dog Nates, the absolute best dog in the world my children and I rescued from the animal shelter, left the planet for dog heaven, I couldn’t bring myself to get another and my children were all grown so I very much enjoy taking care of other’s pets.
“Ashly was amazing!! She is super communicative and responsive, and I felt so comfortable and safe leaving my pup with her. He came home happy and well loved. We would absolutely trust her with our pup again!”

About: I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember. I come from a long line of dog people, with generations of family members who have always had dogs in the home. If you ask me my favorite subject, the answer is always “dogs.” I’m the type of person who says hello to every dog I pass, attends dog trivia nights for fun, and spends my free time volunteering at Santa Barbara Humane. If there’s a dog nearby, chances are I’ve already stopped to say hi! My background as an animal lover goes beyond passion. I spent years working in veterinary medicine, gaining hands-on experience caring for animals that need a little extra attention and support. This includes puppies, senior dogs, and dogs with medical needs. I already love spending time walking around beautiful Santa Barbara, so I’m thrilled to combine my daily walks with quality time spent with the doggos of Santa Barbara! I have a flexible, hybrid schedule and can typically adjust on short notice. If I do go into my office, it’s typically for 4-6 hours. I love taking walks throughout the day, so it’ll be easy to add walking your dog to my daily schedule! I have a one bedroom apartment with a sunny balcony. I am able to close off various spaces around the apartment if needed. I’m also comfortable with pets on furniture and giving baths if needed.
“Ellen was amazing! my little dog needed medication administered and some special attention and Ellen handled it no problem. We highly recommend her and will have our little dog stay with her next time we leave!”

“Vivian helped with a last minute request to watch our pup. She was really flexible with our changing needs and we were happy our dog stayed with her for a few hours while we visited the zoo. Very friendly and responsive.”

“Svetlana was the most incredible dog sitter for my sweet pup:) she was prompt at responding the entire stay & was able to agree to watch Toby with short notice. She kept me updating with sweet photos, and was even able to accommodate an additional day at the last minute. I returned from a weekend away to a very happy, (& clean!) pup. I could tell her & her boyfriend were very caring and attentive with him. I will definitely be booking with them the next time I need a sitter! Highly recommend.”
“Lynn and Marty were absolutely spectacular! From the moment I made contact with them, to the meet and greet, and the five days that Abby spent with them, I could tell that she was not just well taken care of, but absolutely treasured. We received lots of photos and messages! I wanted to book with them again, but unfortunately, they were booked during the time we needed them. But we will keep them as our number one go to in the future. Thank you again Lynne and Marty.”

“Brad and Carolyn were so great with our dog, Marlo. They were very responsive and communicative, so nice to him during his stay, and just seem like they provide a great home. He even got a big, long walk.”

“Honey was so wonderful with my dog! She was great about sending photos and updates throughout his stay with her. My dog was happy and well cared for in her home. Would definitely recommend!”

About: I treat dogs with the Golden Rule. Dogs have short lives and it’s up to us to make them full of love, friends, long walks, and sunshine! I’ll treat your pup like I treat my own, and with any special care precautions. I have loved caring / training my own dogs and grew up taking care of my family dogs as well. I am quick to understanding their little special ways of communicating. Work from home most days and have a balcony, a lovely little courtyard, and a dog park in my complex for fresh air. I can, and enjoy taking morning, afternoon and evening walks at one of the several nice walking paths nearby. I have neighbor dog friends that I watch occasionally and would love to come play if your dog prefers dog company. My complex is highly secure, and I live in a lovely safe and walkable area. I have a courtyard and dog park and courtyard facing patio.
“Jacqueline and Roland were wonderful with Remy. They were mindful of his needs and accommodated him beautifully. They sent me pictures to eliminate my anxiety and were always responsive. We had a great experience!”

“Damian was a wonderful friend to George ! I would definitely recommend him if you need someone to take care of your pet. We haven’t left George with many new people and our dog seemed very happy and relaxed in Damian’s care. George had a few special needs and Damian had no problem making sure they were met. He also made it a point to take him out everyday to one of his favorite nature walks (the Douglas Preserve) where he could interact with other dogs, which George loves. Damian has a dog of his own so you can tell he has a love and intuitive understanding for our furry friends. He went above and beyond in care for our dog George! Thanks Damian.”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs, young and old, and think the absolute world of these beautiful animals. I recently parted ways with my soul dog when he passed in March and have missed him every moment since. Despite this loss, I have not lost my love for dogs. Caring for your baby would be an absolute privilege and joy for me, and I promise to love and look out for them as my own. I work in home health healthcare but am typically available every morning before 10am and every afternoon after 4pm. My days can be flexible where I can check in periodically as well— I am happy to coordinate as needed. I’m also off every Wednesday and am available over overnight stays. I welcome dogs into the home as well and am always willing to take them out to the beach, on trails, and any adventures in general!
“Ryan is an attentive and knowledgeable caregiver of our puppy, Gio. We love having Ryan watch - be it for a day or an extended period of time. Gio loves Ryan and the other “friends” he gets to play with at Ryan’s home.”

“Danielle is one of those rare people who immediately puts both dogs and their humans at ease. She took exceptional care of my rescue French Bulldog, Giani, who struggles with separation anxiety and can require a bit of extra patience and understanding. Danielle went above and beyond, even adjusting her schedule to accommodate his needs. Her calm demeanor, confidence, and extensive experience with dogs, including those with special needs, were evident from the start. Throughout Giani’s stay, I felt completely reassured that he was in caring and capable hands. I am deeply grateful for the care she provided and recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone seeking a truly outstanding dog sitter.”

“Wendy is really great with dogs! You can tell right away that she is such an animal lover and is the kindest person. I wouldn’t hesitate to have her watch my dog again. Thank you, Wendy!”

“Jacob, Simone, and Mango have been the most wonderful companions to my little pup over multiple trips away. From daily updates to adorable photos, your pup becomes part of their family, immediately. Could not be more grateful to have found them, and could not recommend more to anyone anxious about leaving behind their bestie while they have to pop out of town. THANK YOU!”

“Courtney was fantastic! She took amazing care of our little Maltipoo and kept us updated with photos and texts throughout our trip, which really put our minds at ease and let us fully enjoy our time away. We’d absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Santa Barbara
Adela is a fantastic dog sitter and gave us great peace of mind on our vacation! She and her daughter gave our dog care and cuddles, and even took her for a hike and to the beach. Our dog gets nervous when we’re away and stops eating, but Adela handled that like a champ. It’s always hard to leave your pet with a new person, but Adela made the whole process as easy and comfortable as possible. I can’t recommend her enough!

I left my dog Charley with Sandra and her husband, and couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the first meet & great, it was clear that they are true animal lovers and Charley felt right at home almost instantly. Sandra was incredibly communicative throughout my time away, sending daily updates along with photos and videos so I felt at ease knowing Charley was happy and well cared for. As a pet parent, that kind of reassurance is everything. They were understanding and compassionate with Charley’s sometimes moody behavior, knowing how to navigate it. I came back to a content pup, and that’s the best review anyone could ask for. Would absolutely consider booking with Sandra again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter who will treat your pet like family!

Ashly Did a great job with my 2 pups. One is a senior and Ashly handled all her pills and special diet requests with ease. Ashly was always prompt in her response and communications. I loved the photos and little updates. It was much appreciated. Drop off and pick up was smooth as well! I would definitely use Ashly again!

Angelin was great, I’d definitely book with her again. She kept me updated with messages and photos and was really flexible with drop-off and pick-up. My dog can take a little time to warm up in new situations, but she connected with him quickly and made sure he was comfortable and well taken care of the whole time.
