“Ellen was amazing! my little dog needed medication administered and some special attention and Ellen handled it no problem. We highly recommend her and will have our little dog stay with her next time we leave!”

“Bradley and Carolyn took great care of our puppy while we were away for the week! She’s hesitant with new people but warmed to them quickly. They gave her the exercise and love she needed while we were gone and sent us a photo or 2 each day as a nice little check in. Pumpkin will miss them and we’ll be sure to reach out again!”

“Damian was a wonderful friend to George ! I would definitely recommend him if you need someone to take care of your pet. We haven’t left George with many new people and our dog seemed very happy and relaxed in Damian’s care. George had a few special needs and Damian had no problem making sure they were met. He also made it a point to take him out everyday to one of his favorite nature walks (the Douglas Preserve) where he could interact with other dogs, which George loves. Damian has a dog of his own so you can tell he has a love and intuitive understanding for our furry friends. He went above and beyond in care for our dog George! Thanks Damian.”

“Lynn and Marty are dog people through and through. They are so welcoming and took such great care of my Doberman, also while he was injured. Their yard is perfect for backyard adventures and I would absolutely book with them again. Thank you so much!”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up with pets, and over the years I've cared for my own dogs as well as those of friends and family. Loving and caring for animals has never felt like a job to me - it's something that comes naturally. In 2023 I said goodbye to my beloved Boston Terrier, Roscoe, after 16 wonderful years together. Losing him was heartbreaking, and although I haven't felt ready for a new dog of my own just yet, I've deeply missed the companionship, laughter, and unconditional love that only animals can bring. That's one of the reasons I've joined Rover. Caring for these special family members feels like the perfect way to share that love again while helping pet parents feel completely at ease when they're away. What sets me apart is that your pet won't simply be watched - they'll be welcomed into a home where they'll receive genuine affection, companionship, and individualized care. I understand that every animal has their own personality, and I'll take the time to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. My goal is for them to feel like they're staying with family, not just a sitter. I'm currently working from home in Santa Barbara, which gives me an extremely flexible scheduled allows me to be present with your pet throughput the day. My partner also works form home and is a lifelong animal lover, so your pet will always have companionship, supervision, and plenty of affection. Since we're home most of the day your pet will enjoy regular potty breaks, playtime, attention, and lots of opportunities to relax with us. If it's appropriate for your dog and approved by you, I'd also love to take them on at least one 30-60 minute walk each day, along with plenty of outdoor time in our secured yard. I'm happy to follow your pet's normal routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and at home while you're away. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness will always be my top priorities. Our home is fully fenced and securely gated in both the front and the backyards, providing a safe space for supervised outdoor play, fresh air, and potty breaks throughout the day. We love spending time outside gardening and enjoying our yard, so your dog will have plenty of opportunities to join us while always being supervised. Fresh water is always available, and I'll carefully follow your instructions regarding feeding schedules, medications, exercise, favorite toys, sleeping arrangements, and any special needs or preferences your pet has. Most importantly, I'll treat your pet with the same love, patience, and care I'd give my own. I know how much trust it takes to leave a beloved family member with someone else, and I take that responsibility to heart. You'll get updates during their stay, and my hope is that when you return, your pet will have felt safe, happy, loved, and excited to come back again.
“Honey took such great care of our 2 Australian Shepherds. She was responsive, proactive with asking the right questions, and sent plenty of videos/ photos which we really appreciated. Honey particularly went above and beyond by showing us new commands that she had taught the dogs while we were gone. Our pups came home both exhausted (in a good way), behaved, and well satisfied. Lastly, we were especially appreciative when our travel plans unexpectedly changed and Honey agreed to continue watching the dogs for an extra 4 days even when she has personal plans of her own. Thank you so much, Honey!”
About: I’ve been around animals my entire life, growing up with both cats and dogs. Over the years, I’ve also cared for several neighbors’ dogs, giving me hands-on experience with pets of different personalities and needs. I’m dependable, attentive, and always prioritize each animal’s safety, comfort, and well-being. Whether it’s a walk, playtime, or keeping your pet company, I’ll care for them as if they were my own. I work in athletics, typically from 9 a.m. to 3 or 4 p.m. on weekdays, with occasional weekend events depending on the season. My schedule is flexible, allowing me to provide reliable care, walks, and plenty of attention throughout the week. I enjoy staying active, so caring for pets fits naturally into my routine, and I always make their safety, comfort, and happiness my top priorities. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I provide a clean, calm, and pet-friendly apartment where they can feel secure and relaxed. I pay close attention to each pet's needs, keep a safe environment, and treat every animal with the same care and respect I would give my own.

About: I’ve owned and cared for pets over the course of my entire life. Dogs are my love and bring such joy into my world. I have always had a natural born connection that cannot really be explained. It’s a magnetism and I’m drawn to them as much as they are to me :). I have a deep understanding and knowledge of a variety of health issues that dogs commonly have including bone, joint, heart, GI issues and dietary restrictions. I’ve experienced quite a bit over the course of my life personally caring for dogs with these issues including blindness & deafness, injuries. I’m mature enough and a mom myself to confidently say that your family would be treated as my own would. I have also cared for and owned a variety of birds, fish, reptiles, bunnies, guinea pigs, chinchilla and then some! ;). Your animals would be loved as my own! Happy to do overnight care on somewhat short notice as well. Live in the Mission canyon area and have a gated yard with space for sun bathing and potty breaks/lizard chasing ;). Reliable car, DL, Insurance etc. - open to running errands, helping around the house (can discuss rate). My schedule is flexible and I’m available for boarding as well overnight with a little notice ahead of time. No problem with house sitting I have a gated yard and no pets. Nice neighborhood with friendly neighbors with dogs that enjoy each other. Local trails close by and the Riviera Theater close and other nice doggy friendly locations!

“Angelin was great, I’d definitely book with her again. She kept me updated with messages and photos and was really flexible with drop-off and pick-up. My dog can take a little time to warm up in new situations, but she connected with him quickly and made sure he was comfortable and well taken care of the whole time.”

“They were incredibly hospitable and accommodating. I’m so grateful to have them right here in my neighborhood! I’m very particular about my dog’s care—especially coming from a country with advanced dog care standards. This was my second booking, and I had complete peace of mind knowing my dog was safe, happy, and well cared for in a clean home with a fenced yard, playing with their sweet puppy, Daisy. The photos Vivian sent meant so much to me—it was comforting to see my dog not only safe but also happy and social. What reassures me even more is that they previously owned a small dog before Daisy and truly understand the needs of small breeds at every life stage. I’m grateful to have found such thoughtful, trustworthy people. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again—and I look forward to seeing Daisy next time too!”

“Jeanine was the perfect dog sitter. She kept us updated every day on what Harley was doing. Jeanine treated our dog was her own. I highly recommend her and will leave Harley with her again”

About: I've always had dogs growing up so I am very familiar with animals. I have also been fostering dogs since I was 13 years old. Since coming to college, I have continued fostering through shelters/taking dogs out for the day. I am the biggest animal lover and find so much joy in spending time with dogs. I have experience with all kinds of dogs as well. I work from 7-4 pm but my office is dog friendly! I currently work from home! I am available to walk and dog sit most days. I am available in the mornings and evenings. I can also walk during my breaks! I live right next to a park and just above the beach where I take a lot of the fosters to play/walk. I have a very open living room and space for a crate if needed!
“Danielle provided excellent care for our Lilly. We appreciated the pictures updating us on how Lilly was doing during her stay. Also, we appreciated Danielle's extra attention and care since Lilly did get a bit of an upset stomach during her stay. Lilly was in great spirits when we returned from our trip and no doubt it was because of Danielle's care for her.”

“Courtney was fantastic! She took amazing care of our little Maltipoo and kept us updated with photos and texts throughout our trip, which really put our minds at ease and let us fully enjoy our time away. We’d absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter!”

“Miguel was great to work with! Kept us informed as well as quick to respond to any questions or comments from us.. We recommend Miguel to anyone who needs pup sitter!”

“Tory was amazing for an overnight stay when we were visiting from out of town to see a show - Bonita settled right in despite her separation anxiety. Would definitely book again. Thanks Tory for the night out!”

“As our first Rover experience, Lauren exceeded every expectation. She is smart, kind, extremely responsible, and took excellent care of our dog Buddy. Lauren sent us videos and updates so we never had to worry about how Buddy was doing. I heartily recommend Lauren to anyone needing dog care. We are so happy we have found her!!”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs, young and old, and think the absolute world of these beautiful animals. I recently parted ways with my soul dog when he passed in March and have missed him every moment since. Despite this loss, I have not lost my love for dogs. Caring for your baby would be an absolute privilege and joy for me, and I promise to love and look out for them as my own. I work in home health healthcare but am typically available every morning before 10am and every afternoon after 4pm. My days can be flexible where I can check in periodically as well— I am happy to coordinate as needed. I’m also off every Wednesday and am available over overnight stays. I welcome dogs into the home as well and am always willing to take them out to the beach, on trails, and any adventures in general!

I was so relieved to find Tory for an unexpected boarding need during our trip to SB. We were moving my daughter for school with no dogs allowed at her house, and realized after arriving we couldn’t leave our dog alone in the hotel. One message to Tory and our time was saved! Not only was her place conveniently located, this was our young dog’s first time away from our family since adopting him last summer. He was SO happy with Tory which for our Velcro doggy meant so much. Will hire her on all our future trips!

Coco was happy, safe and well taken care of at Bradley's house for 5 nights while we attended wedding celebrations in Santa Barbara. Bradley greeted us as we dropped off Coco; he was warm, friendly and kind to Coco; and we received photos of her regularly. Coco had a chance to hang out with other gentle dogs -- she went for walks and enjoyed sniffing around the grassy lawn. Bradley greeted us when we picked her up at the end of her stay. We would feel very happy to leave Coco with Bradley again if the opportunity arose. Thank you!!

Vivian and Taylor were wonderful sitters and watched our baby girl Kahuna for an overnight. From the moment we met them they were so welcoming and their pup Daisy is so sweet! They have a beautiful dog friendly home and Daisy is the perfect buddy for any dog who is staying there ☺️🐶.They sent so many pictures and gave us updates during her stay. We were so happy that we were able to leave her with such responsible sitters and have a worry free night ☺️. Highly recommend. Thank you Vivian and Taylor!

Adela is a fantastic dog sitter and gave us great peace of mind on our vacation! She and her daughter gave our dog care and cuddles, and even took her for a hike and to the beach. Our dog gets nervous when we’re away and stops eating, but Adela handled that like a champ. It’s always hard to leave your pet with a new person, but Adela made the whole process as easy and comfortable as possible. I can’t recommend her enough!
