“My dog was very relaxed and happy with Maria. My dog's not snuggly but he snuggled up with Maria. Maria sent me photo updates of my dogs every day. She also monitored my dog's potty situation and offered to prepare and feed rice and pumpkin when my dog had diarrhea. She took my last minute boarding request and was very kind and responsive throughout.”

About: I have been providing pet (dogs, cats, and small animals) and house sitting services in Santa Barbara for the past 5+ years and have worked with many breeds and ages, including senior dogs. I provide individualized and attentive care for your fur babies. I’m dedicated to ensuring your dogs wellbeing while you are away - that means attention, playtime, exercise, feeding, and practicing commands. This is my primary work and my schedule is dedicated first and foremost to pet care. I do not have any pets of my own and do not board more than one dog (or a preexisting pack of dogs) at a time. I am happy to crate your dog if your prefer. I do not have a yard but guarantee numerous walks of varying distance and length, depending on your dog”s needs.
“Our dog Junie had a great time with Sandy! She was very communicative and sent us lots of photos while we were away. Sandy was delighted to have our dog and I look forward to booking with her again.”

“Damian was a wonderful friend to George ! I would definitely recommend him if you need someone to take care of your pet. We haven’t left George with many new people and our dog seemed very happy and relaxed in Damian’s care. George had a few special needs and Damian had no problem making sure they were met. He also made it a point to take him out everyday to one of his favorite nature walks (the Douglas Preserve) where he could interact with other dogs, which George loves. Damian has a dog of his own so you can tell he has a love and intuitive understanding for our furry friends. He went above and beyond in care for our dog George! Thanks Damian.”

“Mallory was nothing short of incredible taking care of Gus. She is attentive, caring, responsible and communicative. Highly recommend her and looking forward to working with her again.”

“I had to find last minute care for my puppy and was fortunate enough to find Cheryl. She was so accommodating and took great care of my little girl. She has a nice large backyard that is perfect for larger dogs and a sweet dog of her own named Honey that my dog loved playing with. Thank you, Cheryl for taking such good care of Sochi! ”

About: I’ve spent over 30 years caring for dogs and other animals, both personally and professionally. My approach is intuitive, compassionate, and grounded in a lifetime of hands-on experience. I run a local Montecito dog walking business, working with dogs of all breeds and specializing in big, athletic, and high-energy dogs. Pet care fits naturally into my lifestyle. As a Montecito-based business owner and endurance athlete, I spend much of my time on the trails and beaches — often with a dog by my side. My lifelong love of animals, combined with my endurance background, makes me especially well-suited for larger or high-energy breeds. I genuinely love bonding with dogs and take pride in being a calm, confident presence — a natural pack leader they can trust. I care for the dogs I walk as if they were my own — with plenty of love, attention, and respect for their individual needs. I’m known for giving dogs the exercise they truly crave, whether that’s an energizing trail walk, a beach romp, or a steady neighborhood outing. I stay fully present and engaged, making sure each walk is safe, stimulating, and tailored to the dog’s energy level and personality.

About: I’ve owned and cared for pets over the course of my entire life. Dogs are my love and bring such joy into my world. I have always had a natural born connection that cannot really be explained. It’s a magnetism and I’m drawn to them as much as they are to me :). I have a deep understanding and knowledge of a variety of health issues that dogs commonly have including bone, joint, heart, GI issues and dietary restrictions. I’ve experienced quite a bit over the course of my life personally caring for dogs with these issues including blindness & deafness, injuries. I’m mature enough and a mom myself to confidently say that your family would be treated as my own would. I have also cared for and owned a variety of birds, fish, reptiles, bunnies, guinea pigs, chinchilla and then some! ;). Your animals would be loved as my own! Happy to do overnight care on somewhat short notice as well. Live in the Mission canyon area and have a gated yard with space for sun bathing and potty breaks/lizard chasing ;). Reliable car, DL, Insurance etc. - open to running errands, helping around the house (can discuss rate). My schedule is flexible and I’m available for boarding as well overnight with a little notice ahead of time. No problem with house sitting I have a gated yard and no pets. Nice neighborhood with friendly neighbors with dogs that enjoy each other. Local trails close by and the Riviera Theater close and other nice doggy friendly locations!
“We are delighted with the excellent care Candice provided our dog Smousy for two weeks during our vacation to the East Coast. She gave us daily updates with photos that put our minds at ease. She took her for wonderful beach walks and hikes and gave our (slightly spoiled) dog much loving attention in her beautiful home. We enthusiastically recommend her services. Five Big Stars!”

“Honey took such great care of our 2 Australian Shepherds. She was responsive, proactive with asking the right questions, and sent plenty of videos/ photos which we really appreciated. Honey particularly went above and beyond by showing us new commands that she had taught the dogs while we were gone. Our pups came home both exhausted (in a good way), behaved, and well satisfied. Lastly, we were especially appreciative when our travel plans unexpectedly changed and Honey agreed to continue watching the dogs for an extra 4 days even when she has personal plans of her own. Thank you so much, Honey!”
About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up with pets, and over the years I've cared for my own dogs as well as those of friends and family. Loving and caring for animals has never felt like a job to me - it's something that comes naturally. In 2023 I said goodbye to my beloved Boston Terrier, Roscoe, after 16 wonderful years together. Losing him was heartbreaking, and although I haven't felt ready for a new dog of my own just yet, I've deeply missed the companionship, laughter, and unconditional love that only animals can bring. That's one of the reasons I've joined Rover. Caring for these special family members feels like the perfect way to share that love again while helping pet parents feel completely at ease when they're away. What sets me apart is that your pet won't simply be watched - they'll be welcomed into a home where they'll receive genuine affection, companionship, and individualized care. I understand that every animal has their own personality, and I'll take the time to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. My goal is for them to feel like they're staying with family, not just a sitter. I'm currently working from home in Santa Barbara, which gives me an extremely flexible scheduled allows me to be present with your pet throughput the day. My partner also works form home and is a lifelong animal lover, so your pet will always have companionship, supervision, and plenty of affection. Since we're home most of the day your pet will enjoy regular potty breaks, playtime, attention, and lots of opportunities to relax with us. If it's appropriate for your dog and approved by you, I'd also love to take them on at least one 30-60 minute walk each day, along with plenty of outdoor time in our secured yard. I'm happy to follow your pet's normal routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and at home while you're away. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness will always be my top priorities. Our home is fully fenced and securely gated in both the front and the backyards, providing a safe space for supervised outdoor play, fresh air, and potty breaks throughout the day. We love spending time outside gardening and enjoying our yard, so your dog will have plenty of opportunities to join us while always being supervised. Fresh water is always available, and I'll carefully follow your instructions regarding feeding schedules, medications, exercise, favorite toys, sleeping arrangements, and any special needs or preferences your pet has. Most importantly, I'll treat your pet with the same love, patience, and care I'd give my own. I know how much trust it takes to leave a beloved family member with someone else, and I take that responsibility to heart. You'll get updates during their stay, and my hope is that when you return, your pet will have felt safe, happy, loved, and excited to come back again.

About: Hi! My name is Mary, and I love spending time with animals. I’ve cared for dogs through pet sitting and dog walking, and I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and personalities. I’m reliable, active, and will make sure your pet gets lots of attention, exercise, and love while you’re away. I’ll also send updates and pictures so you know your pet is happy and safe. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry friend! What to Expect My schedule is flexible, and I do my best to match your pet’s normal routine. Whether it’s walks, meals, playtime, or cuddle time, I’ll make sure your dog feels comfortable and cared for. Important: I’ll be available for bookings now through October. From November through May, I’ll be working as a snowboard instructor in Mammoth for the winter season, so I won’t be accepting bookings during that time. We start the day with a potty break, fresh water, breakfast (following your feeding schedule), and plenty of time to stretch their legs. Throughout the day, they’ll get walks, playtime, and lots of attention, along with time to relax in a safe, calm environment. I’ll follow your dog’s normal routine as closely as possible, including any medications, special instructions, or favorite activities. In the evening, we’ll wind down with another walk, dinner, and some quiet time before bed. I’ll also send you updates and photos so you can see how much fun your pup is having while you’re away!

Danielle was amazing! We were in a bind and our puppy wasn’t feeling well during our vacation. Danielle was a lifesaver. She not only came to pick him up but sent regular updates to let us know how he was doing. She handled his tummy troubles like a pro and was calm, reassuring and confident. She helped his anxiety with comfort, snuggles and walks. We are so glad we found her and will definitely book her again in the future! Highly recommend.

Jeanine is awesome! Great communication getting the dog sitting set-up. As soon as I arrived at Jeanine's home, I was immediately put at ease. She is warm and kind and our dog Lola happily went into the house with her. Jeanine sent me an update and photo later that evening and again in the morning. Lola looked relaxed and happy in Jeanine's care. Highly recommend!

I felt very comfortable leaving my baby with Stephanie right away her little dog got along with my dog perfect and he didn't even look back when I left so I know that he was in a good spot and I picked him up and he was having a great time he was tuckered out that night I will definitely visit Stephanie again

My dog was very relaxed and happy with Maria. My dog's not snuggly but he snuggled up with Maria. Maria sent me photo updates of my dogs every day. She also monitored my dog's potty situation and offered to prepare and feed rice and pumpkin when my dog had diarrhea. She took my last minute boarding request and was very kind and responsive throughout.

Kaelynn saved us in an emergency situation where we did not have care for our baby Hugo. She stepped in and made us feel very comfortable and relived that she was able to watch our dog with precious care. We received photo updates and pictures. We were so thankful that our boy was in good hands and we appreciate Kaelynn helping us in the way she did

Erika took excellent care of our senior dog, who is 19 years old. She had a video meeting with us beforehand and understood his needs. She was very communicative through the Rover app before and during the boarding ,and sent us photos and videos of our dog. We were worry free attending an event in Santa Barbara, because we knew our dog was in good hands with Erika. We highly recommend Erika!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
