“Lynn and Marty were absolutely spectacular! From the moment I made contact with them, to the meet and greet, and the five days that Abby spent with them, I could tell that she was not just well taken care of, but absolutely treasured. We received lots of photos and messages! I wanted to book with them again, but unfortunately, they were booked during the time we needed them. But we will keep them as our number one go to in the future. Thank you again Lynne and Marty.”

“Danielle provided excellent care for our Lilly. We appreciated the pictures updating us on how Lilly was doing during her stay. Also, we appreciated Danielle's extra attention and care since Lilly did get a bit of an upset stomach during her stay. Lilly was in great spirits when we returned from our trip and no doubt it was because of Danielle's care for her.”

“Sandy and her husband were so sweet with our dog who had an injury right before our vacation. Sandy could tell we didn’t want to leave her, and provided lots of reassurance that our dog would be in good hands. Because of the injury she had a lot of extra meds, which Sandy administered easily! Thank you, Sandy and Tony for loving on Sadey! She even got a beach day!”

“Jeanine could not have been more wonderful! Her place is like a doggy oasis. Tons of room to play and a nice outdoor area. I felt so comfortable leaving my little princess with her. I could tell my dog had a good time! She got along with the other dogs great :)”

About: I have experience with my 2 dogs and our friend dogs for about 8 years now. We used to take them to walk , hike and beach whenever we could. All my family love dogs and take cares of our furry friends like our owns. I am housemaker with cute 2 boys who are high school and college. And 3rd son Bruno who is always with me at home. I love dogs and always wanted to be with them to play and teach. I have a House with big back and front yard fully fenced. Also on the walk we always keep dogs on leash whenever we go.
About: I have been providing pet (dogs, cats, and small animals) and house sitting services in Santa Barbara for the past 5+ years and have worked with many breeds and ages, including senior dogs. I provide individualized and attentive care for your fur babies. I’m dedicated to ensuring your dogs wellbeing while you are away - that means attention, playtime, exercise, feeding, and practicing commands. This is my primary work and my schedule is dedicated first and foremost to pet care. I do not have any pets of my own and do not board more than one dog (or a preexisting pack of dogs) at a time. I am happy to crate your dog if your prefer. I do not have a yard but guarantee numerous walks of varying distance and length, depending on your dog”s needs.
“Amber was so good with our sweet boy, caring for him exactly the way he needed. Our Labrador has a lot of energy and needs exercise frequently. She took him to the beach and park, both days he was staying in her care. We received photos and updates, which couldn't have made my girls, who were sad to be away from their pup, happier! We hope to be back Amber, thank you so much .”

“Candice did an excellent job watching our dog. She communicated well as far as the drop off time for our dog. And then during the stay, she would send us pictures and keep us informed on how our dog was doing at her home. I highly recommend Candice for future dog sitting opportunities.”
About: I’ve grown up around dogs, young and old, and think the absolute world of these beautiful animals. I recently parted ways with my soul dog when he passed in March and have missed him every moment since. Despite this loss, I have not lost my love for dogs. Caring for your baby would be an absolute privilege and joy for me, and I promise to love and look out for them as my own. I work in home health healthcare but am typically available every morning before 10am and every afternoon after 4pm. My days can be flexible where I can check in periodically as well— I am happy to coordinate as needed. I’m also off every Wednesday and am available over overnight stays. I welcome dogs into the home as well and am always willing to take them out to the beach, on trails, and any adventures in general!
“Damian was a wonderful friend to George ! I would definitely recommend him if you need someone to take care of your pet. We haven’t left George with many new people and our dog seemed very happy and relaxed in Damian’s care. George had a few special needs and Damian had no problem making sure they were met. He also made it a point to take him out everyday to one of his favorite nature walks (the Douglas Preserve) where he could interact with other dogs, which George loves. Damian has a dog of his own so you can tell he has a love and intuitive understanding for our furry friends. He went above and beyond in care for our dog George! Thanks Damian.”

“We are so grateful that our dog Mina got to stay with such a kind family. Bradley and Carolyn were incredibly attentive and caring, and it gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. They sent daily updates along with the cutest photos, which we really appreciated. If Mina could talk, I’m sure she would give them a 5 out of 5 rating. She loved playing with the other dogs and got plenty of walks and attention. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely book with them again.”

“Ashly was amazing!! She is super communicative and responsive, and I felt so comfortable and safe leaving my pup with her. He came home happy and well loved. We would absolutely trust her with our pup again!”

“Ellen was amazing! my little dog needed medication administered and some special attention and Ellen handled it no problem. We highly recommend her and will have our little dog stay with her next time we leave!”

About: I’ve spent over 30 years caring for dogs and other animals, both personally and professionally. My approach is intuitive, compassionate, and grounded in a lifetime of hands-on experience. I run a local Montecito dog walking business, working with dogs of all breeds and specializing in big, athletic, and high-energy dogs. Pet care fits naturally into my lifestyle. As a Montecito-based business owner and endurance athlete, I spend much of my time on the trails and beaches — often with a dog by my side. My lifelong love of animals, combined with my endurance background, makes me especially well-suited for larger or high-energy breeds. I genuinely love bonding with dogs and take pride in being a calm, confident presence — a natural pack leader they can trust. I care for the dogs I walk as if they were my own — with plenty of love, attention, and respect for their individual needs. I’m known for giving dogs the exercise they truly crave, whether that’s an energizing trail walk, a beach romp, or a steady neighborhood outing. I stay fully present and engaged, making sure each walk is safe, stimulating, and tailored to the dog’s energy level and personality.
“Wendy is incredible! I can’t imagine a more wonderful person to care for our pup. Bucky is a big, energetic dog and she was so thoughtful, caring, and a great leader for him. Gave wonderful pupdates and really put my mind at ease for the whole weekend that we were at our family event. We are forever grateful.”

About: Hi! My name is Mary, and I love spending time with animals. I’ve cared for dogs through pet sitting and dog walking, and I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and personalities. I’m reliable, active, and will make sure your pet gets lots of attention, exercise, and love while you’re away. I’ll also send updates and pictures so you know your pet is happy and safe. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry friend! What to Expect My schedule is flexible, and I do my best to match your pet’s normal routine. Whether it’s walks, meals, playtime, or cuddle time, I’ll make sure your dog feels comfortable and cared for. Important: I’ll be available for bookings now through October. From November through May, I’ll be working as a snowboard instructor in Mammoth for the winter season, so I won’t be accepting bookings during that time. I’m looking forward to caring for as many amazing pets as I can before then! When your dog stays with me, they’ll be treated like part of the family. We start the day with a potty break, fresh water, breakfast (following your feeding schedule), and plenty of time to stretch their legs. Throughout the day, they’ll get walks, playtime, and lots of attention, along with time to relax in a safe, calm environment. I’ll follow your dog’s normal routine as closely as possible, including any medications, special instructions, or favorite activities. In the evening, we’ll wind down with another walk, dinner, and some quiet time before bed. I’ll also send you updates and photos so you can see how much fun your pup is having while you’re away!
“Courtney was amazing—very communicative, sent frequent updates and photos, and made me feel confident my dog was in great hands. She’s friendly, attentive, and clearly cares about the dogs she looks after. Highly recommend!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Isla Vista
My dog was very relaxed and happy with Maria. My dog's not snuggly but he snuggled up with Maria. Maria sent me photo updates of my dogs every day. She also monitored my dog's potty situation and offered to prepare and feed rice and pumpkin when my dog had diarrhea. She took my last minute boarding request and was very kind and responsive throughout.

Stella was so happy when I picked her up! Usually she is excited to see me but not maybe in the best way like “OMG thank god you are home!” But she was excited to see me but clearly happy — not agitated at all. I think she got on great with Bruno! So I think he made her feel relaxed and happy along with lovely walks and play times with Gurudatt, of course!!!!

Kaelynn saved us in an emergency situation where we did not have care for our baby Hugo. She stepped in and made us feel very comfortable and relived that she was able to watch our dog with precious care. We received photo updates and pictures. We were so thankful that our boy was in good hands and we appreciate Kaelynn helping us in the way she did

Teslin is wonderful with my dog, Sawyer! He’s always thrilled to see her and her dog, Riggins. He loves their adventures to parks and beaches, and we always receive lots of great photos while we’re away. By the time we pick him up, he’s happily worn out from all the fun and playtime!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
