“My active and playful cattle dog had a wonderful time with Lynn and Marty. They made her feel at home immediately - opening up a treasure trove of doggie toys and giving her a warm and cosy spot to chill out when she needed it. On a very rainy weekend they made sure she still got to run around in their big and safe yard with ball throwing and fetch. At night they followed her usual routine at bedtime with great success -a good nights sleep had by all. I am very happy I have found Lynn and Marty as a home away from home for Darling.”

“Jeanine is great! She had our pup for a week and clearly kept her active and loved. We received many photos over the course of the stay, showing our dog in action at the dog park, relaxing with toys, etc. Jeanine is wonderful.”

“Danielle was awesome...she accepted the booking with little notice, and took such great care of Skye. He had playtime in the yard & walks....he was a very happy boy. Danielle kept me updated with photos....would definitely recommend!”

“Stephanie did a great job with my dog Brando! She sent pictures and updates through out the day and he came home a very happy puppy! She was also very easy to communicate with and took him in same day when I was really in a pinch. I definitely recommend her for dog sitting she took very good care of my fur baby”

“Jacqueline and Roland were wonderful with Remy. They were mindful of his needs and accommodated him beautifully. They sent me pictures to eliminate my anxiety and were always responsive. We had a great experience!”

“Amber is a highly dependable and caring sitter. She took great care of my dog with feedings and walks and sent photos of him while I was traveling. I recommend her and am getting ready to book her again.”

“My dog was very relaxed and happy with Maria. My dog's not snuggly but he snuggled up with Maria. Maria sent me photo updates of my dogs every day. She also monitored my dog's potty situation and offered to prepare and feed rice and pumpkin when my dog had diarrhea. She took my last minute boarding request and was very kind and responsive throughout.”

About: I have been around and cared for dogs since I was in middle school. I have a deep care for dogs and believe giving them the absolute best life while they are with us is the only way to engage with them. I have a knack for training, it somewhat comes natural to me and I have the patience for it. Im happy to work with your dog to either reinforce or teach commands/tricks. Recently, I left my corporate job. I am taking time off to assess my next career move. Which means I have wide open flexibility and need to take walks to keep thinking. What a better way to do that than to have a walking companion! I do not have pets which means all of my attention goes to yours! There are two couches, a bed and a patio for your babe to enjoy. I am available around the clock to play, walk, teach.
“Honey took great care of our St Bernard, Sadie. She was just the right amount of communicative, and we couldn’t have been more appreciative as it was a last minute booking. Honey was also very accommodating to our schedule. Highly recommend!”

“Ema took great care of our dog. She's great at communication, and wanted to make sure our dog was comfortable. She was flexible with pickup and drop-off times. I loved the daily photos. So nice to take a trip and not worry about our smallest member of the family. Thank you, Ema!”

About: I'm a 26 year old working part-time so I have plenty of time to take care of your pets! I have experience taking care of and training younger dogs and have a young dog myself. I love all kinds of dogs and will take care of your pets like I would my own. I'm working part time so I have varying schedules week to week with lots of time to take care of your pet! I'm always available all day Friday and Saturday morning. I frequently take long walks so your dog will have consistent exercise and frequent potty breaks. I have a private fenced in yard and a very friendly dog that loves playing with other dogs! I can easily crate your dog at night depending on what you prefer. I will follow your dog's routine feeding and care so they are happy and feel at home!
“Vivian accepted my boarding request asap when I needed last minute help! My shy dog, Fozzie, warmed up to her quickly. Vivian and her husband welcomed me into their home at the start, so I could see where Fozzie would be playing and see him meet their friendly dog, Daisy. It's very reassuring to get that intro. I'd highly recommend Vivian--she's a fantastic sitter!”

“Svetlana was the most incredible dog sitter for my sweet pup:) she was prompt at responding the entire stay & was able to agree to watch Toby with short notice. She kept me updating with sweet photos, and was even able to accommodate an additional day at the last minute. I returned from a weekend away to a very happy, (& clean!) pup. I could tell her & her boyfriend were very caring and attentive with him. I will definitely be booking with them the next time I need a sitter! Highly recommend.”
“Damian was a wonderful friend to George ! I would definitely recommend him if you need someone to take care of your pet. We haven’t left George with many new people and our dog seemed very happy and relaxed in Damian’s care. George had a few special needs and Damian had no problem making sure they were met. He also made it a point to take him out everyday to one of his favorite nature walks (the Douglas Preserve) where he could interact with other dogs, which George loves. Damian has a dog of his own so you can tell he has a love and intuitive understanding for our furry friends. He went above and beyond in care for our dog George! Thanks Damian.”

“Wendy is really great with dogs! You can tell right away that she is such an animal lover and is the kindest person. I wouldn’t hesitate to have her watch my dog again. Thank you, Wendy!”

“Ellen was amazing! my little dog needed medication administered and some special attention and Ellen handled it no problem. We highly recommend her and will have our little dog stay with her next time we leave!”

“Ashly Did a great job with my 2 pups. One is a senior and Ashly handled all her pills and special diet requests with ease. Ashly was always prompt in her response and communications. I loved the photos and little updates. It was much appreciated. Drop off and pick up was smooth as well! I would definitely use Ashly again!”

Cat caregivers near you - Isla Vista
Prices are estimates per visit for 1 cat. Pricing may vary based on your search and includes a booking fee of 11%.

About: I’ve taken care of cats from kittens to seniors for four years. I have experience administering medications and cleaning litter boxes. I own a black cat that i’ve had for 5 years ever since I found him in my backyard as a kitten!

About: Caring for cats has been a huge part of my life for over 6 years. In addition to raising my own cats, I’ve taken in strays, helped rescue cats in need, and even assisted a cat through giving birth and raising her newborn kittens. Those experiences taught me how to be patient, gentle, and deeply attentive—especially with shy, scared, or vulnerable cats. I truly understand that every cat has their own personality and needs, and I take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved—just like they would at home.
About: Growing up, my home was filled with life—twenty pets of all kinds, each with its own personality and story. From tiny hamsters to cute cats, to loyal dogs, every creature became part of the family. Each day was full of responsibility, from feeding schedules to vet visits, but it never felt like work. Those moments taught me empathy, patience, and the joy of nurturing living beings. Watching them grow and thrive was one of the greatest gifts of my childhood—a chaotic, loving household that shaped my heart and showed me the beauty of unconditional care. I do part-time videography, alongside vanlife. I have a very free schedule to care for your pets needs along side consistent videography; if you desire that. If you at all need help with creating social media for your pet, I love to edit and would love to create videos to show off your wonderful pet. As a part-time videographer with over a million followers cross-platform, I balance creativity with flexibility—leaving plenty of time to give your pet the care and attention they deserve. I’m happy to combine my two passions: animals and storytelling. If you’d like, I can even create fun, high-quality content that showcases your pet’s personality and turns their adorable moments into social media gold. Whether it’s walks, cuddles, or camera time, your companion will be in great hands.

“Sheena was wonderful! Our kitty is diabetic and gave her a bit of a hard time at first, but Sheena was so calm and patient and kind to him. Before long he was curled up in her lap purring during every visit ?”

“Kimberly was truly amazing. She was able to look after our two cats last minute after our other cat sitter had a family emergency. She was incredibly responsive and made sure to keep us updated with very detailed notes and sent us the cutest photos which made my day. She even got our ghost cat to come out of hiding to play (no small feat)!! She went above and beyond when she cleaned all of the litter my cat decided to throw out of the litter box and around the bathroom (I am so sorry for that) and just was overall an amazing cat sitter. I cannot recommend Kimberly enough. We will be sure to contact her again in the future!”

“Jake is a wonderful dogsitter and Jett is a great buddy for my dog, Gaia. Gaia can be unpredictable with new dogs, and Jake was very accommodating as we got the two dogs acquainted. Now Gaia loves going to play with Jett. And Jake makes it easy - he’s conscientious, super responsive, and easy to work with. Highly recommend!”

I provide individualized and attentive care for your fur babies. I’m dedicated to ensuring your dogs wellbeing while you are away - that means attention, playtime, exercise, feeding, and practicing commands. About: I love pets every since I was a kid I’ve always had one and taken good care for them because they mean soo much to me and will always be my number 1 friend! Dog sitting and care for pets will always have time for me in any routine that am in because of the passion and love I have for them. My favorite part of my schedule is taking the dogs out for a walk, hike, or play around the park, or take them out for runs. I care for them like any other human I feed, care, love, and adore them. I take them out 3 times a day one in the morning, afternoon, and at night to walk, or use the bathroom, or any other type of requirements needed.

“Amber was great! In the 12 hours my golden retriever was with her, they went on multiple walks and she was exhausted by the time we got home (that’s a good thing). They were even walking when I arrived to pick her up! Super sweet, lots of photos that we loved seeing. I highly recommend!”

“I can’t begin to explain how grateful I am to have met Marty and Lynn. They were so accommodating and even flexible with some last-minute changes. My boy, Todd, was in absolute paradise in their lush backyard. They are so generous to open it up for daycare. I love seeing photos throughout the day of Todd’s relaxing day in their special care. We booked 2 dog sitting days, back to back and the second day when I dropped Todd off he was PULLING so excited to be back! I wish I lived closer and could have Todd see them all the time! They are fabulous dog people and I can’t wait for the next time we are in Santa Barbara.”

About: I’ve had dogs of my own for 10 years now and have lots of experience walking, feeding, and playing with dogs. I love dogs and personally have lots of energy and responsibility to take care of dogs. I’m great at communicating and will take the best care of your fur babies as well! I graduated in December and am currently working in downtown Santa Barbara with a flexible schedule :) Lots of down time to take care of your pet babies! I currently am living in Isla Vista with a big backyard and plenty of space to run and play! I have a dog of my own at home, a small corgi named Otis who loves new friends.
About: I have 10+ years of paid experience (and a lifetime without pay as I'm an avid pet owner) with many kinds of animals and life stages. I have extensive experience with reptiles, amphibians, freshwater fish, rats, mice, hamsters, birds, cats and dogs. Additionally, I am versed in hand feeding baby birds, general wound care, and K9 anal gland expression. I have rehabilitated and adopted out 4 dogs since the lockdown and find a lot of joy in K9 training and behavior modification. I work remotely from home which makes my schedule very flexible. That being said, just like our pets, I thrive off routine and will try to schedule pet care accordingly. If you have a weird request, please ask! I like to make things work :) I believe creating a positive environment for animals is critical. Animals cannot thrive when they are stressed, living in fear, or improperly cared for. For these reasons, I strive to know the individual and move at a pace appropriate for their needs. There is no stronger bond than one built on trust. Additionally, I clean up messes quickly and put much effort into animal husbandry and play.
About: I believe that all pets should experience living life and doing fun activities that we all do! I grew up with pets my whole life, having 2 dogs and 2 cats. What inspired me to begin my journey on this app is from when I volunteered at my local shelter to foster huskies, ranging from a day trip to week long care. I like to plan fun activities in advance with the pets to do throughout the day/weeks, which can be a fun stroll to the beach to collect seashells, going to downtown, and meeting new people at events (such as the farmers markets, makers markets, and more)! I make sure they are under the best possible care while still having fun :) I’m a current student, so I would appreciate if services are scheduled in advance. At the same time, I’m overall pretty flexible and tailors to clients needs. This can be scheduling, pricing, and instructions! I’m pretty flexible! Something as easy as dog walking or drop-ins I can basically do any time, but dog/ cat sitting needs a bit more preparation. Being a student, sometimes things can come up last minute. When given instructions, I am pretty on top of it. Any requests I would be more than happy to accommodate. No need to be afraid to ask questions! I listen to instructions well.
“Absolutely wonderful experience with Rebecca! I could tell right away that she would take great care of my pup—her enthusiasm and genuine love for dogs really shines through. She was incredibly communicative throughout the day and sent great photo updates, which gave me so much peace of mind. My dog was happy, well cared for, and clearly had a great time. I can’t recommend Rebecca enough and will absolutely book with her again!”

“Jennifer is wonderful! She took Ziggy to the beach then gave her a bath! She was able to dedicate her time and attention to my young puppy because she was not caring for other dogs at the time. I highly recommend Jen for any dog parents who need care. I will definitely be calling her back.”

About: I’ve taken care of many different types of dogs breeds over the years from shepherds, golden retrievers, spaniels, and frenchies. I have my own dog, Kilo who is neutered and one and a half years old. Kilo has tons of energy so I am great at keeping any dog engaged. I have experience giving medications and providing for dog recovering from surgeries. I also have experience working to potty train puppies. I am a full time student at UCSB but my schedule has allowed me to have Monday, Wednesday, and Friday off along with the weekends! I have a fenced outdoor area and the dogs are also welcome inside as my house is puppy proof. I am also able to crate your dog when needed.
“This was my first time using rover and leaving my dog for day sitting. Last minute our sitter couldn’t watch our dog, so we brought her with us on our trip to Santa Barbara. We wanted to explore, but did not want to leave her in a motel room, so we looked for a doggie daycare. Honey was responsive and took our dog in last minute. Even on a holiday weekend. I was nervous about my dog having anxiety, but Honey was very friendly and communicated throughout the day to keep me posted about my dog’s day. She is excellent with animals and has a kind nature that dogs can sense. My dog was comfortable and she even got her to eat! Which is something my dog does not do when she’s away from home. Thank you Honey for opening your home to our Roxy.”

“I needed dog care for a day at the last minute and found Lara was great to work with as a first-time Rover user. I appreciated her friendliness, patience, and flexibility. She was great with communication too. I suspected my dog would be sad while her people were gone but Lara seemed to try her best to be as accommodating as possible. I felt confident in leaving my fur baby with her and highly recommend her services.”

“Juliana was amazing! A total natural with dogs, very communicative and kept me updated the whole day. My pup loved her and came home happy and tired. I felt relieved to know he was getting the exercise and love he needs!”

About: Hi everyone!! My name is Pricila currently based in Isla Vista!☺️ I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life and have cared for 10+ dogs over the years. Some of my dogs even had puppies, so I’ve had hands-on experience helping raise litters and taking care of young pups from the beginning. I’m comfortable helping with things like feeding schedules, potty training, teething puppies, basic grooming, playtime, and making sure pets get the attention and care they need. I’ve also cared for older dogs and understand they sometimes need a little extra patience and help, whether that’s giving medication, helping them move around comfortably, sticking to special diets, or just keeping them relaxed and loved. I truly love animals, and I treat every pet like they’re my own. My goal is always to make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I’m currently working part time and doing school at the same time so my availability is after 3pm Monday-Wednesday. Thursday-Sunday I have full availability! I currently don’t have a fenced yard but I am walking distance away from the beach! So me and many fur friends can run along and play at the beach. If beach isn’t your favorite environment, I also live near dog parks! No other fur friends in my home so I can dedicate as much time and energy to the fur friends!
About: I grew up having dogs and have been taking care of them from a young age. I dog-sat for a family for about 3 years with a young dog and a senior dog. For this family, I walked them, took them to dog parks, fed them, helped train them, and also spent the night when needed. The senior dog required special tasks like extra monitoring, diaper changes, and help with mobility. When their senior dog passed they adopted a 6 week old puppy which I then took care of as well. I helped with his potty training, socialized him with other people and dogs, and taught him some basic commands. Overall, I have experience with all ages of dogs and would love the opportunity to spend time with some amazing pets! I am currently a student at Santa Barbara City College, but only go onto campus one time a week so I have an extremely flexible schedule and lots of time to take care of your dogs! My home is one level, open layout, with a gated front yard to secure your dog! I live near the beach with many beautiful walking trails if your dog ever needed to come to my house for the day.
About: I have my own goldendoodle who's a big fluffy ball of energy! I have more experience caring for large high-energy dogs but also love my smaller friends! I am very structured and detailed when it comes to any type of care your doggie needs. I am most available during the weekends, Friday to Sunday. For check-ins, I am very open to make it work with my daily schedule! I am very cautious to pay attention to details in order to ensure the best care for your fur friend. I am very open with communication between past clients of mine for hourly updates or concerns to maintain peace of mind when away from your dog. Being in a larger city also makes me cautious of where I go on walks and the safest route to take.
About: I’ve been a happy dog owner for over 5 years and have firsthand experience caring for pets with consistency and attention. I’ve raised my own Shih Tzu and have helped care for other dogs of different sizes and needs, including a senior Newfoundland. That experience has made me extremely comfortable with both small and larger, older dogs who may need extra patience and care! I am currently a full time student at UCSB, but have slots in between classes every day of the week. On weekends, I am fully available. I care for pets by keeping them safe, comfortable, and on their normal routine. Whether in my home or a client’s home, I follow eating and walking schedules closely, give them plenty of attention, and make sure they feel calm and well cared for.

About: I have had a black lab since I was 13 back home in New Jersey. I love spending time with her (Luna) whether it is going for walks or swimming at the beach or just watching tv. I have taken a lot of care of her especially when she had stroke and lost a lot of function in her body so now she walks with a limp. I am good with understanding dogs, taking care of dogs, and playing with dogs. I also have experience watching my cousins dogs over multiple weekends and have been paid for overnight stays watching dogs over the weekend. I am very interested in finding a dog to walk and hangout with for the next couple months and would be happy to meet with anyone! I currently just graduated college so I have no real routine or schedule for the next two months before my actual graduation ceremony. My schedule is very flexible and I will likely be gone one or two weekends maximum and here in Goleta on the weekdays. I can’t accommodate a dog in my home right now since I have other roommates. However, I’m happy to come to whoever’s house and watch their dog there or just take the dog for walks.
“Michelle is a fantastic! She is responsible, on time, and energetic. I highly recommend her for dog walking services. She puts my dog at ease when she greets him and leaves him exhausted when she drops him off. She is a lovely soul and I know my dog really enjoys being with her.”

About: I worked at Dioji for three years with all breeds and sizes and was a manager for some of that time. I am confident in feeding, bathing and medication administration! I am a recent stay at home mom so my infant son Felix will be joining me! My schedule will be as flexible as he is and if your dog is uncomfortable with young children this is not a good fit. I have a large fenced yard at my house. We live in a shared home so the dog will most likely stay outside with supervision.

I'm always available all day Friday and Saturday morning. I frequently take long walks so your dog will have consistent exercise and frequent potty breaks.

“Ryan was awesome to work with and took great care of our dog! He sent pictures very frequently and took Cici out for lots of walks. We would definitely use him again for dog boarding!”

About: Hello, my name is Sandy and I am looking forward to taking care of your furry friend. Like most other animal lovers, I’ve had dogs of all kinds and pets all my life. I have patience, problem solving skills and the ability to cope with challenges under pressure. Also a deep love and appreciation of mother nature and animals. I am semi retired but still enjoy working and set my own schedule so I am available weekdays and weekends. Your pet will be well looked after. I love to go to the beach and will look forward to taking your furry friend with me. Shoreline Park is another favorite daily walk activity and just minutes away. My condo has a small fenced yard and a comfortable home for your doggie’s vacation. I live on the mesa in the Highlands with lots of easy walking just outside the front door and in the Honda Preserve so your pet will have plenty of short walks. I have been a dog owner all my life but when my last dog Nates, the absolute best dog in the world my children and I rescued from the animal shelter, left the planet for dog heaven, I couldn’t bring myself to get another and my children were all grown so I very much enjoy taking care of other’s pets.
About: I love pets every since I was a kid I’ve always had one and taken good care for them because they mean soo much to me and will always be my number 1 friend! I take them out 3 times a day one in the morning, afternoon, and at night to walk, or use the bathroom, or any other type of requirements needed.
