I grew up with animals, and I’ve a long career as a special educator and elementary school teacher. Nurturing children’s minds and spirits is what I love to do. My sister owns a dog rescue, and caring for animals has always been a part of my families life. I’m a professional care giver, and my family would love the opportunity to give your pet a second home.

Shalon was wonderful! She accommodated a short-notice booking for our two large pups, who had never been boarded before. She sent frequent pictures and updates throughout the weekend, which really helped put us at ease while we were out of town. Both dogs came home tired and it was clear they had an active weekend. We really appreciated Shalon’s willingness and confidence in handling them for their first stay and keeping them safe. Thanks again, Shalon!

Schedule
I’m available throughout the week, and have time each day for caring for your pet. I teach during the day, and we are here on the weekends, and I have holiday vacations and summers to care for your pet full time. I also live 2.5 miles from the SB airport, so you are welcome to park your car here and take an Uber to save on airport parking, or I could also drive you over and pick you up, just let me know.

I have a fenced back yard and plenty of space in a quiet neighborhood right across from Evergreen Open Space and less than a mile from Haskells beach. I am able to create a comfortable, safe and nurturing environment for your pet.
A typical day
My children and I will take your dog on walks, pet them and love on them, give them any provided treats, play ball and give them lots of attention. We will also create a nurturing and safe environment for your cat.
