About: I’ve grown up with 2 dogs and currently have an english cream golden retriever. I have an immaculate house located in central Santa Barbara with 2 fenced in yards. I frequently take walks Shoreline Park, Leadbetter Beach or my quiet neighborhood of Samarkand with my golden Phoebe. I’m currently expecting my first baby in 2026 and my female is not neutered so only allow one dog at a time and we request that it be good with other dogs and not aggressive. Lynn offered up a phone call so I could talk about the care and treatment I needed. I was so worried to leave my pup since she’d been having some health issues, but when it was time to drop her off, Lynn and Marty and their senior fur baby dog had the best vibes and wanted to make sure my pup was well taken care of. I could tell my pup felt right at home and loved exploring their nice yard. I got regular photos and updates on how she was doing and whether she’d eaten. About: I thoroughly love every second of sitting through Rover! I love meeting all of the fun little characters, and taking them on adventures. Dogs who stay with me can expect beach trips, hikes, and runs to keep them exercised and occupied (of course adjusted to their needs and abilities!). “Kate, Mark and their family took excellent care of our 8 year old golden retriever for 2 weeks. About a month before our trip we took our dog over for a “meet and greet” to see how she would get along with the family and their dog. This went smoothly, so we reserved her stay. A couple days before our departure we dropped off our dog for a 2-3 hour visit to really test her out. Everything went well. While we were away, Kate texted us and sent photos every couple of days and assured us that our dog was safe and happy. I cannot thank Tim enough for the love and attention he gave my dog while I was away for 3 days. I took Darling (my Australian Cattle Dog) to meet and greet Tim twice before leaving her with him. I knew immediately that Tim would do everything possible to make her feel at home with him. He had treats ready for her and took a relaxed attitude to her liking his sofa. Darling is an exuberant dog and needs a lot of human interaction and I know Tim provided this while I was gone. I felt happy on my trip knowing that Darling was safe with Tim. Thank you Tim!
Jacob, Simone, and their lovely pup, Mango, were absolutely wonderful companions to my dog over a long weekend away. Jacob and Simone were communicative, sent lots of photos, and went above and beyond caring for my little one while he was recovering from a dental procedure. Would absolutely recommend Jacob and Simone for any anxious dog parent looking to leave their pup in exceptional hands (and with lots of snuggles).
We were looking for a dog sitter on a visit to SB and were thrilled to see Eve on Rover. We knew Eve from many years ago and knew that we could trust her to care for our dog, Daphne. Daphne is not a beginner dog. She is a guarding/working breed mix. Once you earn her trust, she is an absolute sweetheart. But, you have to do the work to earn her trust. We scheduled a meet & greet with Eve. She accommodated us rescheduling it after Daphne got skunked, twice, on our trip. At the meet & greet, Eve took time to sit down with us, understand Daphne, give her time to adjust, feed her treats, take her for a walk, hang out with her for several hours while we left for dinner, and ultimately earn her trust. Daphne stayed with Eve for three days over Labor Day weekend. She had a great time. Eve sent regular photo updates. Daphne loved playing with Eve's dog, Penny. And, when we came to pick her up, Daphne seemed so happy and at ease. Eve gets our highest recommendation and I hope that Daphne will get the opportunity to visit on future SB trips.
Erika took excellent care of our senior dog, who is 19 years old. She had a video meeting with us beforehand and understood his needs. She was very communicative through the Rover app before and during the boarding ,and sent us photos and videos of our dog. We were worry free attending an event in Santa Barbara, because we knew our dog was in good hands with Erika. We highly recommend Erika!
