About: I was basically raised by my family dogs— almost all protective breeds— some of which I took part in training. Unfortunately, in moving to LA, I have to prioritize my career. However, I’m still looking to form my social circle outside of the entertainment industry, and what better company to consider! Less cattiness, more dogs! I’m a freelance dancer, so almost all of my work is project-based. When on a job, rehearsals usually take place late afternoon into the evening. My schedule is also open on weekends, more-so Saturday and Sunday. I am very good at reading a dog’s body language, and responding accordingly whether I’m in or outside of what’s considered to be their territory. All visits will have to take place at the client’s home or in public settings because my apartment complex does not allow animals on the premises.

I keep my schedule flexible and intentionally take only a small number of dogs so each outing can be tailored to the dog’s fitness, energy level and needs. Every Adventure Run is tailored to your dog’s fitness, pace and abilities. I adjust the route, distance and intensity as needed, provide breaks and recovery time, and pay close attention to weather, hydration and your dog’s energy throughout the outing. My own two large, friendly dogs may join once I know your dog is comfortable running with them.

On my way to the cul-de-sac mailbox, it jumped the fence and slammed my head onto the concrete. Scalp split open, I ran home screaming. From then on, dogs terrified me. I hid behind my mum around dogs bigger than me…and at the time, every dog was. I declared myself a cat person, and that was that. Then YouTube appeared. The algorithm’s “infinite wisdom” served up a video of Cesar Millan transforming a “mean” dog into a “nice” one in five minutes. Were all dogs really this easy to understand? If I could do what Cesar did, if I could master dog training, maybe they wouldn't scare me anymore? It became an obsession. I watched thousands of his videos. Before/after. Wild/controlled. Chaos/manageable. Scary/incredibly cute. But watching dogs on a screen was a different beast than working with them in real life. My great aunt in Cape Town, South Africa, gave me my first round of exposure therapy when she took me to a Great Dane farm. Dozens of giant dogs loomed around me. She held my hand the whole time and introduced me to every. single. one. I can do this. I can do this. She has since passed, but being around dogs reconnects me to her memory. It's a heartwarming comfort. Years later, a friend was having trouble on her walk. “Can I try?” I gave her a few concrete instructions from my musings: “Krishna, you’re really good with dogs.” “What? Nooo.” “Uh, yes. She never listens to anyone else, but she’s perfectly calm with you.” “Nahhh, she can just sense I’m vegan.” I assumed everyone understood dog body language and I was just slow on the uptake. Turns out, they don't! Not only was I no longer afraid, I was giving lessons! Today, clients fly me across the globe to care for their dogs. My last assignment took me to London for two glorious, busy weeks. While I hope to have a dog of my own again someday, I want to dedicate my time to caring for yours in the meantime.
