Being a pet-parent who is obsessed with my fur babies, I refuse to except anything but the best for them. Clearly, my inabilibty to find someone I wholeheartedly trust, has been limiting to my freedom. I was TERRIFIED to use/trust strangers from an app-based pet care service. When Jared told me about Aaron I was overjoyed. I hoped my pups would love him. Well, I got my wish! When my pups returned home hey CRIED, lol! They were upset that he left without them. I am finally free to travel and just have some time to myself again. That’s the short of it. If you want to know the specifics, keep reading. BEFORE THEIR STAY: 5⭐ for Flexibility and Convenience Aaron definitely delivered. My work schedule was jammed before my trip. I only had a small window and he offered to pop in to do a quick meet-n-greet. Instantly, the pups were drawn to him. I was only going to do 2 days and then opted to extend to 4 days, so (being new to the app) he helped me make the adjustment with ease. He made sure to ask about and fulfill on any special requests/scheduled of my dogs. I could tell in person he was tuned into the needs, personalities, and behaviors of each dog. I saw him engage with each dog in a firm yet friendly, loving, and caring manner. I knew I was leaving them in the right place where my pup would receive plenty of love and attention. Dropping them off was quick, convenient, and smooth. DURING THEIR STAY: 5⭐ for Communication and Positive Interactions Aaron was very quick to reply to my comments, questions, concerns, and needs. He also provided updates without any prompting which alleviated anxiety and created calm. He’s a very calm and easy going guy. His communications were consistently comforting and reassuring. I was delighted by the myriad of pup-pics he sent! It gave me an “staying-in-the-loop” experience, which inspired the calm and confidence I needed to mentally and emotionally unplug from being a pup-parent while I was away. These pics highlighted adventures and fun they were having and Aaron’s experience and expertise required to create a exciting, safe, and calm experience for everyone. I could tell he has a good working knowledge of dog behavior, needs, and care. 5⭐ for Environment, Safety and Supervision Aaron’s place is its own pup-amusement park (like a little maze of things) to explore and plenty of places to lounge. I was happy to see (and smell) how clean the place was. He was quick on the draw when one of the pup already in his care piddled on the floor from excitement, lol. He already has a plan in place including a nearby vet to handle emergencies, which is also reassuring. 5⭐ for Exercise and Playtime He even took a field trip so my pups could go to their favorite dog park (which isn’t close to where he live) which absolutely sealed the deal for making Aaron my permanent go-to dog sitter. They had so much fun my pups were EXHAUSTED for two days after her dropped them off! I’ve never seen my high-energy 3yr old Gus be completely wiped out. THANK GOD FOR AARON … most likely I’ll hire him weekly to get some of that energy out. AFTER THEIR STAY: 5⭐ for Return and Follow Up Aaron was right on time for the drop-off and he remembered all the things I left with him for their visit. As I mentioned before, the dogs cried after her left and they kept going to the door in anticipation of his return, lol. Other than that they took lots of naps the following two days and and slept soundly through the night. As an aside, it also seems like Gus’s behavior (wild energy) was tamed. Overall, I am the most delighted client ever. I am SOLD on Aaron. Try him, you will be too!”

“We hired Heather for drop-in visits when a last-minute trip came up, and after our experience, I highly recommend her. Heather came right over for a meet-and-greet, and it took only seconds for her and Oliver to become best friends. In fact, when we came home from our trip, he told us that he wants to live with Mrs. Heather now. While we were gone, she provided Oliver with food (which has medications involved), cleaned his litter, played with him, brushed him, fed him treats, gave him love, and even cleaned up. Major Kudos: Oliver requires this transdermal medication applied within his ear. This is something that's difficult even for me to apply, so I sort of accepted it'd be impossible for anyone else. And yet, Heather was able to apply it—all four times. Oh, and all of the pictures she sent were like... professional. My cat looked like a model. So I mean, really, does it get better than that? Heather is a wonderful sitter, and unless Oliver chooses to move in with her, we'll be hiring her again.”

About: Once upon a time, I previously had two cats (long and short hair) Tyler and Charlie while also having a Cocker Spaniel named Sparky. The two cats both had hyperthyroidism requiring pills and saline via IV that I administered. One cat had a food allergy requiring them to feed in separate rooms. The long hair tabby got frequent hair balls and threw up. I also had a Cocker Spaniel named Sparky. Due to the high maintenance, I had minimal kitty and dog sitters, I know what it’s like to need one and find someone you trust. Our Pets are our children. After the three, I was heartbroken and do not have Pets at this time. It is a joy to Pet sit and house sit for you. Currently building my clientele on this website. As a professional pet and house sitter, it is enjoyable for me to take pets on walks, potty breaks and scoop liter. Happy to have a video call for an introduction. I treat the clients home as my own with respect and cleanliness. You should receive your home in the same condition you left it in (peace of mind) so when returning you can plop down and love on your pets who have missed you.
“Two words: Hire. Michelle. She checked in with our cat Oliver twice a day for nearly two weeks and saved him from a UTI. She noticed something wasn’t quite right and sure enough, he tested positive, saving him from worse pain and us from a hefty bill. Along with her impeccable instinct, we appreciated the care she took each visit to provide Oliver liquid medication for his other ailments. We loved receiving an update each time, too, always with photos of the two of them playing or hanging out. Not surprising, as she really is that cool. About: I grew up in the Seattle area on a plot of land with a little farm! I love animals of all shapes and sizes and have dealt with lots of different temperaments and breeds. Although I’m not an expert, I’ve done a lot. In college I volunteered at the humane society and walked dogs and I have two babies of my own (one pug and one cat). I’m currently a swim coach so my commitments are in the evenings for 2-3 hours. Before and after work there will be lots of opportunities to get their energy out and play outside. I’m in an apartment so all dogs must be potty trained and not prone to chewing- or be okay in a crate. Our outside area is completely fenced but doesn’t have much grass so we love to go on walks through the neighborhood.

About: I have over 15 years of experience in education, studying, working with and owning dogs. I studied and have a degree from UC Davis, volunteered since I was in middle school and help provided care and treatment at veterinary hospitals to provided the best care to our canine companions. Large or small, healthy or sick I do my best to ensure our dogs are taken care of. I have a flexible hybrid schedule which allow me to be available for pet sitting, drop ins and boarding as needed during the week. 9 am drop offs and I’m pretty flexible and open to adjust scheduling as needed for pick and drop offs beforehand. Nice home environment, relaxing and friendly. Gently approach pets or let them come to me as needed, engage in a bit of trust building with respect for their personal space and treats when need to smooth over greetings. I have two healthy and medically up-to-date dogs in a separate environment and if interested they can have a greeting or remain separate as preferred. As well as nice little gated area with some plant to sniff and explore.
“I can’t express to you the extent to which Sara and Aaron saved me. At 10:30 I got a call from work that I needed to come in (on a day I wasn’t planning to), and I messaged Sara and Aaron at 10:45 relaying the emergency. My dog Jeffy was in their home by 11:30. Not only were they so incredibly accommodating, but Jeffy had a blast, and Sara provided so many amazing photos throughout the day. They’re very communicative and you can tell how well-versed they are with dogs and dogcare. I recommend them highly. I’m not the most proud of my last-minute request and I don’t recommend being in that situation — it was a bit unfair to them and to Jeffy — but Sara and Aaron were understanding and exceptional hosts.”

I find working with dogs doing some mental working time each day is a great way to tire out a pup, in addition to long walks on the bluffs and by the beach. I find training animals the most rewarding, running commands with them and watching them learn and progress. And always leave some time for cuddles and hanging. About: I’ve had pets as long as I can remember. My last pet, my soul dog Bella, lived to be 18. We traveled the country together and I got the privilege of being her mommy from 8 weeks old to a little over 18. About: Since 2015, I've had experience living with roommates with dog(s), dogsitting for friends and brother at their residences or boarding their dog while they've been away, and dog hosting and house/dog sitting for multiple dog owners here on Rover. I am able for dogsitting at your residence, drop in visits, dog walking, and boarding at mine. Usually, barring any predetermined plan, I am free weekdays after 4PM and more consistently free Friday night to Sunday night. During that time, I will be with the dog the majority/all of the time, depending on service/preference you and your dog(s) prefer. I work during the day with few days a week in office (flexible on days), but I have availability on only when I have no conflicting/concurrent work or social plans so the time and commitment to furry friend(s) will be priority number one. Boarded pets will have supervised free roam around the townhouse style apartment with a mini private backyard. I will be more or less with the dog(s) at all times (barring to go outside to pickup food, etc.). Schedule will be cleared to minimize any personal item and prioritize the time spent watching over and playing with the dog (s).
