About: I understand and respect the animals and I’m a trained dog trainer from all the training lessons I took when my dog was a puppy. And my dog who recently passed away was a very well behaved sweet girl even though she was a diva when I just got her. I’m not ready for another dog anytime soon but at the same time I still want to have the chance to take care of dogs and cats and I’m pretty good at it :) I work from home and for myself so my schedule is pretty flexible, and I have plenty of free time which I wish I could use them on playing with your dog. About: I've been taking care of animals my entire life, from my own dogs and cats, to those of friends and neighbors, and now I do it professionally part time. I work from home and my husband is retired so our flexible schedules allow us to spend quality time with your pet during the day, for overnight boarding, and extended stays. We do not leave dogs by themselves during their stay with us. Since we live in an upstairs apartment, dogs that good match for us are fairly quiet and well behaved and can settle down between play and walk time. But I'm happy to do drop ins and walks for puppies and rambunctious pups! All pets can make themselves at home, are allowed on the furniture, and can sleep in our king size bed with us if they want to (so far everyone has!). We have doggie stairs for little ones, lots of clean, comfy blankets, as well as balls and toys to play with. Our place has a security screen door and the window screens are wired so cats can safely sit and watch birds and squirrels in the trees. We also LOVE to walk and are happy to provide as many outside breaks as necessary, as well as long energetic walks for dogs who enjoy exercise. **Pick-up and/or Drop-off** is available for an additional fee. Price depends on distance. If interested in this service please inquire and I can add the fee to your invoice. Since I work from home, I am always here to pay attention to animals throughout the day. I am able to go outside as often as necessary, and can take dogs for many potty breaks, several short walks and one or two long energetic walks if needed. Pups who prefer to nap and snuggle most of the day are fine too. Having animals around me makes the days better! I have cared for young to senior dogs and cats, and have experience with special diets and administering medications, including pills, liquids, transdermals, subcutaneous injections and fluids. I am patient with old and shy pets and I'm happy to walk dogs in a stroller or front pack if needed. My apartment is also a safe place for cats with lots of securely screened windows for bird watching, and a security screen door they can look through. As a college student, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate quality time to the pets in my care. I'm available for walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting throughout the week, even early mornings, late nights, and weekends. I enjoy staying active, so incorporating dog walks and playtime into my daily routine is something I genuinely look forward to. When caring for a pet, I make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise and companionship while keeping their normal routine as consistent as possible. Your pet's safety and comfort are always my top priorities. When caring for pets in a client's home, I do my best to maintain their normal routine so they feel secure and comfortable in a familiar environment. I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding schedules, walks, medications, house rules and your additional requests. I pay close attention during walks and outdoor time, keeping dogs safely leashed and aware of their surroundings. I also make sure pets have access to fresh water, plenty of attention, exercise, and a clean environment. Trust is essential when someone is caring for both your pet and your home. I treat every home with respect, keep communication open and provide regular photo and video updates so you can feel confident that your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for while you're away.

Anna was open to the idea of taking a room key and letting herself into my hotel room to take phoenix for a walk. I’ve had it since birth, and I’m pleased to share it with discerning pet parents on the west side of Los Angeles. I’ve lived with cats my entire life. My Maine Coon mix Dallas passed at age 15, and since then have fostered 20 cats via the Stray Cat Alliance with every age and temperament. I’ve volunteered at the NKLA adoption center, doing enrichment and writing/shooting adoption videos. I’ve also served as Marketing Director at the Paw Project, the only animal rights organization dedicated to outlawing cat declawing. I've lived with dogs for shorter periods, and am most comfortable with smaller to medium-sized dogs. Cats: I have experience administering probiotics, pills, liquid medicine, eye drops, and injections. Dogs: I have less experience administering medication, but am happy to follow specific directions. Please feel free to reach out with any questions! I'm currently working part time with flexibility; my schedule should easily mesh with yours. I understand that some pets are on more of an exact schedule and I'm happy to honor that. Physical safety: Having hosted certain foster pets who rush the door or otherwise attempt escape, I'm accustomed to ensuring all doors and windows are secured and triple checking escape routes when entering/exiting the home. Medical safety: I'll be on the lookout for any behaviors indicating stress or illness, including monitoring the litter box/poop activity and for cats having the Feline Grimace Scale handy. Please leave your vet's information in case of an emergency. My backup is the VEG Veterinary Emergency Group in Santa Monica. Emotional safety: I know what to do and how to show up energetically in order for your pet to feel safe with me. Being a cat foster parent I've delved deeply into Jackson Galaxy's videos and books. Pets are extremely sensitive and intuitive, and any stress can cause illness - we'll have neither stress or illness on my watch.
