“Isela was great! She walked our large, willful goldendoodle for 2 weeks and did a wonderful job at keeping her moving. She was professional, on time and friendly, and we would highly recommend her to other dog owners!”

“Emily was delightful. I will be booking her again! I scheduled her to walk my 5-year-old Aussie for 10 days after I had surgery, and I couldn't walk him myself. He can be a handful, especially if another dog barks at him, and he had never been walked by a "stranger". She handled him very well and he returned home happy and tired. Emily was never late, texted me a few minutes before arriving, and sent photos of them along the walk. She is great and I can highly recommend her. Thank you Emily!!”

“You’re literally the best and it warms my heart how Harley excitedly greets you every-time she sees you. Thank you for making her walks fun and educational at the same time. I couldn’t have found anyone else better than you. 💕”
About: I grew up around animals: cats, a dog, even two gerbils. I also pet-sat for my neighbor while I was in high school. I am lucky now to have a crazy lovebug orange kitty named Mr. Buttons. He sadly has no interest in being around dogs or other cats, so I have to look outside our home to satisfy my love for them. I am as trustworthy as they come, and I believe pet care should come above all else. I'm currently working part-time, so my schedule is very flexible and I'm amenable to any kind of arrangement for caring for your pets. I'm typically free on weekdays, but as I said, my schedule changes and there are always exceptions. My priority is to build trust both with the pet and owner. I follow all instructions laid out to the T and ensure the pet feels comfortable and safe in my presence. I also respect the pet owner's home by leaving it exactly as I found it. It's vitally important to me that your pet feels loved even when you are away, so I never skimp out on pets or cuddles when they are desired.
“Adam is AMAZING! our dogs love him and we are so appreciative of how great he cares for them. He has great patience, communicates and goes above and beyond every single time. Hands down the best walker the boys have ever had. Thanks Adam!!!!”

“Found David last minute! He is flexible, dependable, and can follow instruction’s. He treats my dog like his own and trust him with his knowledge and care for pets!”

“Joselyn is great with both of my dogs, who have very different temperaments. I have one rambunctious puppy and one rescue who is afraid of everything and they both enjoy their time with Joselyn. She is definitely able to handle a diverse range of dogs. Thank you for making our travels easier!”

About: I provide personalized attention for each dog, enrichment activities that give mental stimulation through play, dog-friendly outings, and of course safety always comes first! :) I’m an actor looking for part time work. I sometimes have weeks off when I’m preparing for my next job. Working with animals felt like the right job for me. I always respect your home and I know safety is very important when inviting a stranger in to take care of a pet as they are family. My goal is to ensure trust!
“Erick has been great with Lilith! Last week was our first week with Erick as our new walker and he’s done great getting Lilith comfortable with him. He is great at communicating with me and even is thinking in advance as the temps rise to make sure we have a plan for midday walks this summer! I deeply appreciate him thinking about my dogs health and wellbeing like that!”

About: I have had cats and dogs and mice and fish my whole life, and have been many people's go-to consultant for care and advice, and for taking care of their pets when they're out of town. I am one of those people that folks say have "a way with animals". Always have, even when I was a toddler. I can administer medications and injections, help with puppy training, and bring your shy pet out of his or her shell. I rescued my own kitties when they were only a week old and syringe and bottle-fed them and reared them up to be sturdy upright feline citizens of the world. I'm good with the "difficult" cases, and a gentle loving companion to the seniors. I do this because I adore and feel a bond with all animals and creatures of all kinds. :) I am available for morning and mid-day walks and drop-ins, and some evening walks depending on the day, and evening drop-ins most days of the week. I'll dote on your pets as if they are my own, and am happy to follow their routines and rituals and also bring a little novelty and fun to their day.
“Catherine was very prompt in her service and was on time for the services I requested. She provided many photos to help me feel at ease that my dog was being well taken care of! She was consistently professional and kind. My dog instantly took to her and could tell she was a safe person to be around. I plan to book Catherine again in the near future and would trust her with my dog!”

About: I grew up raising animals (big and small) in Texas and when I moved to LA for work, I started to take care of animals for friends and colleagues. If I can give a pet owner peace of mind their fur baby will be taken care of, plus have the joy and being with that animal, that’s a win-win I work from home as a freelance creative and have plenty of time and energy to care for animals. I love them so much, it really doesn’t feel like a job. It’s wonderful to care for them and help pet owners have peace of mind their fur babies are in good hands Every pet reacts differently to new people, and every home has their own routines and preferences. I’ve always found if you show respect to an animal and what they’re used to, you’ll bond with them and make them feel safe. I’m very used to every client having different needs, there’s no “one size fits all” approach. I live in the first floor of an apartment with a community yard and I have a patio with grass for quick potty breaks. I enjoy Long walks in my Valley Village neighborhood which is very safe, and I love walking dogs multiple times a day if needed
About: Hey there! My name is Shayla, and I’ve been caring for pets professionally since 2012, including working closely with celebrity clients and their beloved animals — many of whom required special attention, medical care, patience, and individualized routines. I understand how important it is to trust someone not only with your pets, but with the comfort and safety of your home I provide loving, reliable pet care with a calm and attentive approach, and I’m happy to accommodate unique schedules, routines, medications, and special requests. In addition to pet sitting, I also offer dog walking, overnight care, house sitting, and companionship visits. ✨ What sets me apart: I create a safe, low-stress, loving environment where pets can feel comfortable, secure, and cared for like family. My experience ranges from energetic puppies to senior pets needing gentle patience and support. 🐾 Special experience with: ✔︎ Senior pets & puppies ✔︎ Special-needs and disabled pets ✔︎ Administering medicine ✔︎ Anxiety-prone pets & separation anxiety ✔︎ Maintaining routines for comfort and stability ✔︎ Providing attentive, one-on-one care I know every pet has their own personality and needs, and I genuinely love taking the time to make them feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I also really love photography and sending you videos/photos throughout the day! I'm very flexible with hours, and I will always be very communicative about my schedule so you are kept informed. I spend every day taking care of animals, and am always flexible with client needs! I've been entrusted with many high-profile clients and am always respectful of others' homes, pets, and belongings. I treat every home and animal as if it were my own, with the utmost care, respect and love!
“I reached out around 8:30 at night looking for a last minute walk, and he responded right away and was able to come that same evening. He showed up on time, was really friendly, and did a great job with my anxious dog. I was a little worried since my dog has been having a hard time lately, but he was so patient with him. When they got back, my dog seemed so much happier and more relaxed. I really appreciated how responsive and reliable he was, and I would definitely book with him again.”

“We booked Jordan to walk our 2 big boys, Parson and Ellis as we ourselves were temporarily unable to do so. Jordan really managed to bond with the boys and they very much enjoy their long morning walks with him. Can definitely recommend booking Jordan!”

About: I’ve loved dogs since I was little and have been around them my entire life. I grew up with a Rottweiler, a Lab, and two Goldendoodles, so I’m pretty comfortable with dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I worked at a veterinary office for a little over a year, have helped friends with training, and am constantly dog sitting for people in my life because I genuinely love being around dogs! I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone else, so my goal is always to make sure your pup feels safe, happy, and well cared for🫶🏼 I also live with a sweet large breed (our foster that became our family🤍) so I’m very comfortable with bigger, stronger dogs and understand the importance of patience, consistency, and reading body language. Pet care fits very naturally into my routine. I currently work part-time on weekends, so I have plenty of flexibility during the week for walks. Spending time with dogs is something I genuinely enjoy, so caring for them feels like a natural part of my day. When caring for pets, I always try to stick closely to their usual routine since I know consistency can make a big difference. Every dog is different, so I pay attention to their personality, energy, and body language to make sure they feel safe and comfortable. During walks, safety is always my priority, but I also want them to have fun, get good exercise, and feel cared for. I’m also big on communication and happy to send updates and photos so owners feel comfortable too
“Dea is extremely attentive to my fur baby. Shes even been helping her with loose leash walking! She sends videos and photos while I’m at work and it always brings a smile to my face :) I recommend Dea to anyone looking for a trustworthy and reliable dog walker!”

About: From my sister's dog that I practically trained as a kid (thanks to dog training TV shows and videos), to my roommate's sweet kitten, and my own childhood dog, so much of my life has been shaped and defined by the animals I surround myself with. I became a go-to sitter and walker for neighbors and friends. I work part-time, so I'd love to fill the other time with some amazing pets! I have a few weekdays free as well as weekends! I love giving animals the attention and love they deserve! I'll play with them and give them quality time that they want and need! Tell me their favorite things and I'll accommodate!

Just wow, if don’t read any further just know Yvonne is awesome and you should hire her! I hired her on a temporary basis to walk my Tuco daily for about 6 weeks because I was commuting too far for a work assignment to come home at lunch to walk him myself. Never before having anyone else walk him, I was worried about finding someone whom I could trust to show up reliably and give Tuco the much needed break in his day. Not only did Yvonne prove herself reliable and responsible, she took such kind and loving care of Tuco, he fell in love with her (and her with him)! Each walk she would send me notes and adorable photos of their activities. I especially appreciated that she would stop and take time to play fetch with him and snuggle him at our apartment’s pet park, thankfully giving him the physical and mental stimulation she understood he needed. One week, Tuco had a little tummy virus and was not his usual energetic self, so Yvonne patiently sat with him outside and let him take it easy. Now that I am moving closer to my job, unfortunately I will be too far to keep Yvonne. Tuco will miss her and I am sure if he could talk, he would highly recommend her as do I. If you are looking for a caring, attentive and reliable dog walker, I have every confidence you will be very satisfied with Yvonne.

Luna LOVED DeShaude. Though I was not surprised -he has such a way with animals… they know he is safe and loves them 💙 we hadn’t seen him in a while and our older pup just passed so it was a bit hard to leave her but DeShaude made it so much easier. We got pics of walks and a report every time he took her out. Highly recommend!

Natalie was great! My dog was kinda picky with his walkers but he instantly loved Natalie. Natalie walked my dog weekly and was very communicative and responsive to arranging walks. She also gave a detailed report of his walks and sent the best pictures! Thank you Natalie for your time :)

Tayler has been an absolutely wonderful dog walker and pet sitter for our family. She is incredibly reliable, communicative, and genuinely caring with our pets. Mhysa always loved seeing her, and Tayler was just as sweet and attentive with our cat, Kuzco. After several years with us, today is sadly her last regular visit because we’re moving, and we know both pets are going to miss her so much. It gave us tremendous peace of mind knowing they were in the care of someone we completely trusted. We couldn’t recommend Tayler more highly!

I needed a walker for two straight weeks and Vanesa did a wonderful job of ensuring my girl had a great time. She even ran with my energetic girl, which she LOVED! Updates were regular, I would definitely recommend Vanesa to my friends and family!! Thank you, Vanesa! 🐾💕

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
