About: Dogs have been apart of my life since day one, with over 12 dogs and counting throughout time! During Covid, I decided to pick up volunteer work at my local dog shelter, with tasks including: walking dogs, cleaning kennels and showering with love. Through the volunteer work, it was required to learn about dog behavior and basic emergency situations that could arise. I also own a 3-year old Aussie that brings me so much happiness and joy on a daily basis! I am currently a self-employed musician and work on my own schedule. I have availability during the week and weekends to fit your schedule and needs! I have a fenced, grass, backyard and a 3-year old Aussie that can keep your pup company and play hard! I also have a crate if that's desired.

Erick has been great with Lilith! Last week was our first week with Erick as our new walker and he’s done great getting Lilith comfortable with him. He is great at communicating with me and even is thinking in advance as the temps rise to make sure we have a plan for midday walks this summer! I deeply appreciate him thinking about my dogs health and wellbeing like that!

About: I have had cats and dogs and mice and fish my whole life, and have been many people's go-to consultant for care and advice, and for taking care of their pets when they're out of town. I am one of those people that folks say have "a way with animals". Always have, even when I was a toddler. I can administer medications and injections, help with puppy training, and bring your shy pet out of his or her shell. I rescued my own kitties when they were only a week old and syringe and bottle-fed them and reared them up to be sturdy upright feline citizens of the world. I'm good with the "difficult" cases, and a gentle loving companion to the seniors. I do this because I adore and feel a bond with all animals and creatures of all kinds. :) I am available for morning and mid-day walks and drop-ins, and some evening walks depending on the day, and evening drop-ins most days of the week. I'll dote on your pets as if they are my own, and am happy to follow their routines and rituals and also bring a little novelty and fun to their day.

About: As a human race, we're lucky to have these wonderful creatures. Unfortunately, my fiancee and I don't have the space for our own pooch and would welcome the opportunity to meet as many of these beautiful animals as possible. For years, I've worked from home and my fiancee has a surprisingly flexible schedule. Essentially, it would fit wonderfully into our schedules and be a welcome responsibility. First and foremost, we would take care of the pets according to the owner's instructions and needs (and pets needs). Secondly, we provide a warm, loving, safe, and comfortable home for pets. It would be like a vacation getaway for them. Furthermore, we understand that sometimes a mess can happen. This is why it's beneficial that my fiancee and I both now how to get stains out, haha. Sometimes someone spills the milk. But it ain't worth crying over.

About: I grew up raising animals (big and small) in Texas and when I moved to LA for work, I started to take care of animals for friends and colleagues. If I can give a pet owner peace of mind their fur baby will be taken care of, plus have the joy and being with that animal, that’s a win-win I work from home as a freelance creative and have plenty of time and energy to care for animals. I love them so much, it really doesn’t feel like a job. It’s wonderful to care for them and help pet owners have peace of mind their fur babies are in good hands Every pet reacts differently to new people, and every home has their own routines and preferences. I’ve always found if you show respect to an animal and what they’re used to, you’ll bond with them and make them feel safe. I’m very used to every client having different needs, there’s no “one size fits all” approach. I live in the first floor of an apartment with a community yard and I have a patio with grass for quick potty breaks. I enjoy Long walks in my Valley Village neighborhood which is very safe, and I love walking dogs multiple times a day if needed

Emily was delightful. I will be booking her again! I scheduled her to walk my 5-year-old Aussie for 10 days after I had surgery, and I couldn't walk him myself. He can be a handful, especially if another dog barks at him, and he had never been walked by a "stranger". She handled him very well and he returned home happy and tired. Emily was never late, texted me a few minutes before arriving, and sent photos of them along the walk. She is great and I can highly recommend her. Thank you Emily!!

When my baby seemed a little off she took her to the vet and we started treating her UTI before I got back from my trip. She is fantastic and I would and will use her in the future. About: I grew up around animals: cats, a dog, even two gerbils. I also pet-sat for my neighbor while I was in high school. I am lucky now to have a crazy lovebug orange kitty named Mr. Buttons. He sadly has no interest in being around dogs or other cats, so I have to look outside our home to satisfy my love for them. I am as trustworthy as they come, and I believe pet care should come above all else. I'm currently working part-time, so my schedule is very flexible and I'm amenable to any kind of arrangement for caring for your pets. I'm typically free on weekdays, but as I said, my schedule changes and there are always exceptions. My priority is to build trust both with the pet and owner. I follow all instructions laid out to the T and ensure the pet feels comfortable and safe in my presence. I also respect the pet owner's home by leaving it exactly as I found it. It's vitally important to me that your pet feels loved even when you are away, so I never skimp out on pets or cuddles when they are desired.

About: I have had 3 years of experience pet sitting in New York City and recently moved to the LA area with my 4 year old mini goldendoodle! We are looking to take care of some new friends here on the West Coast. I also have 2 dog loving roommates that are excited to have more pups running around :) I am currently working from home so I have full availability. I am a dancer that trains in the evenings typically but I have 2 roommates so there is almost always someone home. I am a very active person and am new to the gorgeous LA weather so I am always down for a nice long walk. We take our time and I let the dogs really sniff. I also have a very active 4 year old mini goldendoodle that loves to play, has a great demeanor, and is well socialized. I let dogs on the couch so they will always be nice and cozy at my place!

About: Growing up in any pet oriented household has taught me that these little fellows are as much of an extension of the family as anyone else, and should be loved and cared for just as equally. My schedule is currently wide open! Wednesdays tend to be a blackout day currently. However, I am always willing to coordinated with you on just about anytime of the day you might need a helping hand. Establishing trust and good vibes right off the bat is key for me. Mutual respect is also very important. I understand that some pets are very protective of their friends and families, so I make it a point to be respectful of this behavior.

Naomi has been wonderful. We have a husky who is a big dog and loves her walk every single time they go on one. My pup comes back tired and ready for her nap. My second dog Freya is super skeptical of humans and other dogs but Naomi was super easy to introduce and Freya took an immediate liking to her! So glad to have you be able to walk them and they love their adventure each time.

Tayler has been an absolutely wonderful dog walker and pet sitter for our family. She is incredibly reliable, communicative, and genuinely caring with our pets. Mhysa always loved seeing her, and Tayler was just as sweet and attentive with our cat, Kuzco. After several years with us, today is sadly her last regular visit because we’re moving, and we know both pets are going to miss her so much. It gave us tremendous peace of mind knowing they were in the care of someone we completely trusted. We couldn’t recommend Tayler more highly!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
