“Vanesa has been absolutely wonderful with our yellow lab! She’s kind, attentive to his needs, and always makes sure he gets the care and attention he deserves. She’s consistently on time, communicates clearly, and always lets us know how each walk went. It’s such a relief knowing our dog is in great hands - we couldn’t recommend her more highly!”

About: Since I was a child, I cared for many animals and pets on my family's farm, and in the last 15 years in LA, I've had my own pets and all my neighbors and friends come to me for pet care while they are out of town! I work as a part-time plant science consultant, I am a mom of a 10-year old human and an 11-year old doggy, I have a flexible schedule and love to be active, so pet care fits in nicely! I have a secure and fenced in back yard and many comfortable spaces for dogs all around the house. Cats are not a good fit in our home, unfortunately.

“Bryanna has been great with our dog Buster and takes lots of pictures and even videos during her visits. She is good at communicating and responds to messages quickly. She's dependable and shows up when she says she will and we are really happy to have found her. She brings her dog to play with Buster and it's been a great arrangement for Buster to have a friend and more socialization. She was willing to just come herself to take Buster on his walk if they didn't get along. We hope Bryanna continues to be available to visit Buster.”

“Vanessa is absolutely wonderful. My dog is always so excited to see her and loves their walks! She is very friendly and communicative, and also flexible, which I appreciate. I’m very grateful for her!”

About: As dog owners ourselves, we believe in a simple principle: we won't do anything for your dog that we wouldn't do for our own. During the time they're with us, we treat them as if they were our own, with full attention and care. What makes our care different is that your dog gets the attention of two people, not one! Both my spouse and I work from home, so there's always someone around for companionship, playtime, and supervision throughout the day. We also know LA life can be unpredictable, so having two of us means we're able to stay flexible and work around your schedule whenever possible. As a clinical psychologist with a background in behavioral psychology, plus hands-on experience having personally adopted and trained a rescue dog, I understand dogs' needs on a deeper level, from anxiety and attachment to motivation and habit-building. Over the years caring for dogs across LA, we've worked with a wide range of breeds, sizes, and personalities, including dogs with picky eating, excessive barking, or high energy levels, and tailor our approach to each dog's individual needs. We always welcome a meet & greet before booking! There's a large, quiet park right by our home where we can chat through your dog's routine and make sure everyone feels comfortable. **First time clients please enjoy $20 off your first booking!** https://www.rover.com/sit/chanwl43421 Schedule Both my spouse and I work from home, so we're available for care any day of the week! Weekdays and weekends alike. This also gives us a lot of flexibility with pick-up and drop-off times, and we're happy to work around your schedule. Whether you need a quick daycare visit or long-term boarding, we'd love to help. Safety, trust & environment In our home, pets have plenty of space to relax and play, and with two of us around, dogs are never left unattended! You'll get regular check-ins and updates so you can feel confident your pup is in good hands. I follow your dog's routine closely and keep safety top of mind, whether it's leash rules on walks, feeding instructions, or respecting boundaries around other pets (We have three playpens! on hand, so we can easily section off space when needed). Our back patio is fully fenced, so dogs can enjoy off-leash time to run and play safely. We've made sure there's nothing sharp or hazardous back there, and we clean up after every potty break and hose down the area to keep it fresh and sanitary. Neighborhood dogs stop by for potty breaks too, so it's also a great spot for your pup to socialize. Being a typical Asian household, we don't wear shoes inside and that same care extends to keeping things clean for your pup! We vacuum 3-4 times a day, wash food and water bowls after every use, and wipe down paws with baby wipes (dog-wipes on request!) after walks.
“Jaime was absolutely awesome with Boosh, our Pit/Lab baby girl. He was able to pick her up and down the stairs to our complex. We had dog family over for a week and Jamie was able to accommodate walking them on short notice. Boosh loved seeing him and would bring him her ball a few times; seriously jelly about that. ?”
About: Growing up in a house full of dogs, I guess I picked up a few tricks along the way. My friends joke that I’m the “dog whisperer,” but honestly, it’s more like I’m their unpaid therapist. Most dogs and I vibe right away, like we’ve got some unspoken connection. Even the cautious ones usually come around pretty quickly.. maybe it’s the good vibes..? Maybe it’s the good treats..? Either way, mi casa, their casa. 🏠🐶 Now that I’m pursuing music full time, my schedule is much more flexible! I work from home during the week and usually keep my weekends open, so I can be fully attentive and available for your pup whenever they need me. 🫡 I prioritize being present with your pets at all times to ensure their safety and provide them with a home-like sense of security, knowing they have a trusted friend by their side. 🐾 🤝

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have experience caring for pets of all ages. I currently have a senior dog, so I’m familiar with the extra patience, attention, and care that older pets often need. Since I was 16, I’ve provided pet sitting and house sitting for friends, family, and neighbors, giving me experience with feeding, walks, playtime, administering routines, and ensuring pets feel comfortable while their owners are away. What sets me apart is that I genuinely treat every pet as if they were my own. I’m reliable, attentive, and understand the importance of keeping owners updated so they can feel at ease knowing their pets are in good hands. I have a flexible schedule, allowing me to dedicate time and attention to the pets I care for. Currently I have open availability. I enjoy spending time outdoors, going on walks, and providing companionship, so pet care fits seamlessly into my daily life. My top priority is making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible. During drop-in visits and house sitting, I follow all feeding, medication, exercise, and care instructions provided by the owner. I make sure pets have fresh water, plenty of attention, playtime, and potty breaks, and I keep owners updated with photos and messages for peace of mind. During walks, I use secure leashes and harnesses as directed, stay aware of my surroundings, and prioritize each pet’s safety at all times. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and needs, so I take the time to build trust and ensure they feel comfortable and well cared for while their owner is away.
“Minerva is the most caring and loving dog walker! She takes her time walking Kobe and sends plenty of pictures and updates about his activities (pee, poo, etc.). She's very detailed, quick to respond, communicative, and incredibly friendly. You can tell she's an animal lover. Kobe has fallen in love with her in such a short time! Can't thank Minerva enough for everything she does for our Kobe!”

“Jessica is super-friendly, reliable, and always on-time!! She takes great care of our two pups, and you can clearly tell that she is an animal lover. I highly recommend her!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for family, and family friends since I can remember. I have the most experience with smaller dogs, but have walked many puppies as well! I have just graduated college and moved home, and would love to spend my free time assisting those who need help with their pets! My schedule is open! I have a large backyard and no other dogs. I have had dogs previously, and have also taken care of others dogs in my home!
“Kyle is the best! He is great with my pup and she loves going in walks with him. He is always on time and has been able to be flexible with last minute changes.”

“Dana is wonderful! She does a great job with our young, energetic dog Marty, who can be difficult to manage on a leash. Marty loves Dana and looks forward to his walks with her! He always comes back happy and tired out!”

About: I’ve always been the person friends and family trust to watch their pets because I genuinely love spending time with animals. I know how stressful it can be to leave your pet with someone else, so I do my best to make them feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away. Whether it’s a puppy with lots of energy, a senior pet who needs a slower pace and extra care, or a pet that’s a little shy at first, I’m patient and happy to adjust to their needs. I pay attention to the little things, follow routines closely, and love sending updates and photos so you know your pet is doing well. My goal is for your pet to feel like they’re hanging out with a friend, not just being watched I’m currently on summer break from my job as an elementary after-school teacher, so I have a more flexible schedule and extra time to dedicate to pet care. During the summer, I work a part-time job, which allows me to provide care before and after my shifts. I’m able to plan my schedule around pets’ needs and make sure they get the attention, care, and companionship they deserve. I’m also available on weekends for extra visits, overnight care, or just some extra love and attention if needed. 🐾❤️ When caring for pets in your home, I try to keep their routine as normal as possible so they feel comfortable while you’re away. I’ll make sure they’re fed on schedule, have fresh water, clean litter boxes, and get plenty of love and attention. I know every cat is different—some want constant cuddles and playtime, while others prefer their space—so I always let them set the pace. I’ll also send updates and photos so you can relax knowing your cat is happy and well cared for
About: I’m a lifelong dog lover with over 20 years of experience caring for pets of all ages and personalities. After recently saying goodbye to my own beloved dog, I’m excited to share my love, attention, and gentle care with other pets while their families are away. Whether it’s cuddle time, playtime, or long walks, I’ll treat your dog like part of my own family and make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re gone. I work from home so at no point will your pet be left alone. I am able to take out your baby as much as needed and have a lot of room for them to run around (indoor and outdoor). My house is pet safe and organized. I keep it toddler safe which means no small pieces or anything toxic your animal can get to also. I have an enclosed yard that your baby can roam around in safely.

About: Ive always loved and gotten along with animals. My mom taught me at a young age to not just react to their actions but to listen to them on a deeper level while intuiting their emotions. I love and respect dogs and cats because of how emotive they are and how unique each one of their personalities is. No two are alike, which is why caring for one is always a unique experience. I am available for all times any day of the week! I am a solo game developer so since I work for myself, if I am not writing code, I'll be taking care of your pets! Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
