“Minerva is the most caring and loving dog walker! She takes her time walking Kobe and sends plenty of pictures and updates about his activities (pee, poo, etc.). She's very detailed, quick to respond, communicative, and incredibly friendly. You can tell she's an animal lover. Kobe has fallen in love with her in such a short time! Can't thank Minerva enough for everything she does for our Kobe!”

“Vanessa is absolutely wonderful. My dog is always so excited to see her and loves their walks! She is very friendly and communicative, and also flexible, which I appreciate. I’m very grateful for her!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats for over 12 years and genuinely love being around animals. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, and care for their pets while away. I’m comfortable with puppies, senior dogs, high-energy pets, and shy animals. I always make sure pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable, and I’ll treat your pet like my own. I am new to the are and am currently have a full-time job and am looking to work more with animals in my free time. I’d love to help keep your pets active, happy, and healthy while also staying active myself through regular walks and pet care! I provide a safe, calm, and trustworthy environment for every pet I care for. I follow all instructions closely, supervise pets at all times, and prioritize their comfort and well-being.
“Jaime was absolutely awesome with Boosh, our Pit/Lab baby girl. He was able to pick her up and down the stairs to our complex. We had dog family over for a week and Jamie was able to accommodate walking them on short notice. Boosh loved seeing him and would bring him her ball a few times; seriously jelly about that. ?”

About: Not only growing up with and raised my kids around dogs of all breeds. Rockwilders, pitbulls, German Shepherds, hounds etc. While active duty Marine. My son's were raised by by Staffy pitbull Sampson. Not only getting myself out the house, the time will be therapeutic for myself and the dogs. We will be getting much needed sun and exercise. The dogs and owners home be cared as if I'm staying at my grandma's house and I was told to take her dog fee fee outside. Then have the kitchen cleaned before she finishes her nap to go play bingo with the other grandma's from New Orleans.
About: Since I was a child, I cared for many animals and pets on my family's farm, and in the last 15 years in LA, I've had my own pets and all my neighbors and friends come to me for pet care while they are out of town! I work as a part-time plant science consultant, I am a mom of a 10-year old human and an 11-year old doggy, I have a flexible schedule and love to be active, so pet care fits in nicely! I have a secure and fenced in back yard and many comfortable spaces for dogs all around the house. Cats are not a good fit in our home, unfortunately.
“Jamie did a wonderful job taking our dogs out for their daily 1-hour walks! She offered to meet the boys for a meet and greet and they immediately warmed up to her friendly and sweet personality. Jamie was great with communication and always reached out if she needed to update us or had a question. We're so happy with her services and will be asking her to take care of our little one next week for a few days. Don't hesitate to reach out to Jamie for your pet care needs!”

About: Growing up in a house full of dogs, I guess I picked up a few tricks along the way. My friends joke that I’m the “dog whisperer,” but honestly, it’s more like I’m their unpaid therapist. Most dogs and I vibe right away, like we’ve got some unspoken connection. Even the cautious ones usually come around pretty quickly.. maybe it’s the good vibes..? Maybe it’s the good treats..? Either way, mi casa, their casa. 🏠🐶 Now that I’m pursuing music full time, my schedule is much more flexible! I work from home during the week and usually keep my weekends open, so I can be fully attentive and available for your pup whenever they need me. 🫡 I prioritize being present with your pets at all times to ensure their safety and provide them with a home-like sense of security, knowing they have a trusted friend by their side. 🐾 🤝

“Jessica did an amazing job. It was a last minute effort to get someone to cover Mars, due to a funeral. Jessica made it so easy with all of our requests. We are so grateful!”

“Dana is amazing with our two dogs Marty and Wally! She has done regular dog walking and an extended pet sitting job for them this year. I feel great knowing how much she loves them and looks after them like her own! And they are always so happy after her visits! I highly recommend Dana!”

“Laura is great with our French Bulldog Buster and she's also helping us work on his training when she takes him on walks. She communicates well and sends regular updates and pictures of her visits/walks. We are very happy to have her and would highly recommend.”

About: As dog owners ourselves, we believe in a simple principle: we won't do anything for your dog that we wouldn't do for our own. During the time they're with us, we treat them as if they were our own, with full attention and care. What makes our care different is that your dog gets the attention of two people, not one! Both my spouse and I work from home, so there's always someone around for companionship, playtime, and supervision throughout the day. We also know LA life can be unpredictable, so having two of us means we're able to stay flexible and work around your schedule whenever possible. As a clinical psychologist with a background in behavioral psychology, plus hands-on experience having personally adopted and trained a rescue dog, I understand dogs' needs on a deeper level, from anxiety and attachment to motivation and habit-building. Over the years caring for dogs across LA, we've worked with a wide range of breeds, sizes, and personalities, including dogs with picky eating, excessive barking, or high energy levels, and tailor our approach to each dog's individual needs. We always welcome a meet & greet before booking! There's a large, quiet park right by our home where we can chat through your dog's routine and make sure everyone feels comfortable. **First time clients please enjoy $20 off your first booking!** https://www.rover.com/sit/chanwl43421 Schedule Both my spouse and I work from home, so we're available for care any day of the week! Weekdays and weekends alike. This also gives us a lot of flexibility with pick-up and drop-off times, and we're happy to work around your schedule. Whether you need a quick daycare visit or long-term boarding, we'd love to help. Safety, trust & environment In our home, pets have plenty of space to relax and play, and with two of us around, dogs are never left unattended! You'll get regular check-ins and updates so you can feel confident your pup is in good hands. I follow your dog's routine closely and keep safety top of mind, whether it's leash rules on walks, feeding instructions, or respecting boundaries around other pets (We have three playpens! on hand, so we can easily section off space when needed). Our back patio is fully fenced, so dogs can enjoy off-leash time to run and play safely. We've made sure there's nothing sharp or hazardous back there, and we clean up after every potty break and hose down the area to keep it fresh and sanitary. Neighborhood dogs stop by for potty breaks too, so it's also a great spot for your pup to socialize. Being a typical Asian household, we don't wear shoes inside and that same care extends to keeping things clean for your pup! We vacuum 3-4 times a day, wash food and water bowls after every use, and wipe down paws with baby wipes (dog-wipes on request!) after walks.

“Bryanna has been great with our dog Buster and takes lots of pictures and even videos during her visits. She is good at communicating and responds to messages quickly. She's dependable and shows up when she says she will and we are really happy to have found her. She brings her dog to play with Buster and it's been a great arrangement for Buster to have a friend and more socialization. She was willing to just come herself to take Buster on his walk if they didn't get along. We hope Bryanna continues to be available to visit Buster.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Van Nuys
We absolutely love having Bailey as our dog walker! She’s incredibly reliable, patient, and truly cares about the dogs she works with. One of our pups can be a little more challenging, and she has always been so understanding and kind with him. One of my favorite parts is the detailed updates she sends after every walk. They’re thoughtful, funny, and always make me smile—it feels like I get to experience a little piece of their adventure together. I couldn’t recommend her more!

I reached out around 8:30 at night looking for a last minute walk, and he responded right away and was able to come that same evening. He showed up on time, was really friendly, and did a great job with my anxious dog. I was a little worried since my dog has been having a hard time lately, but he was so patient with him. When they got back, my dog seemed so much happier and more relaxed. I really appreciated how responsive and reliable he was, and I would definitely book with him again.

I needed a walker for two straight weeks and Vanesa did a wonderful job of ensuring my girl had a great time. She even ran with my energetic girl, which she LOVED! Updates were regular, I would definitely recommend Vanesa to my friends and family!! Thank you, Vanesa! 🐾💕

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
