About: I’ve been around dogs and cats pretty much my whole life and have taken care of dogs for friends and family for years. I’m really comfortable around different types of dogs and understand how to read their behavior and approach them in a calm, respectful way. I genuinely enjoy being around animals and always make sure they feel safe, cared for, and well looked after. I’ve always been around pets growing up, so caring for them feels like a natural part of my routine. While I don’t currently have pets of my own, I regularly help friends and family by taking care of theirs. Whether it’s feeding, walking, or just spending time with them, I genuinely enjoy it and make it a consistent part of my daily and weekly schedule whenever the opportunity comes up. At the moment, I’m not able to host animals at my place of residence. I’m hoping that changes soon so I can incorporate pet care more into my daily routine, but for now I’m happy to provide care in your home.

“Margarita was amazing!!! We went on vacation for a week and had her walk our dog twice a day. She kept us in the loop and provided us with picture, videos, on each walk which I loved. While we were away, our housesitter had to leave a couple of times, and Margarita was able to work with the information we gave her last minute and returned our dog safely inside the house. I would highly recommend Margarita!!!”

“Dana is wonderful! She does a great job with our young, energetic dog Marty, who can be difficult to manage on a leash. Marty loves Dana and looks forward to his walks with her! He always comes back happy and tired out!”

“Seanna is amazing. She takes such good care of my little guy, even when he’s being a troublemaker. She is so professional, flexible and gives the BEST updates. About: I am a former veterinary technician now turned dog walker and petsitter. I started off working with animals helping the ranch hands at Pierce College. I assisted with 3 kidding seasons and educating the new students on the goat unit. Towards the end this time, I simultaneously started working at my first veterinary practice. I was there for a long time where I learned all the key basic teachings of veterinary medicine. I worked with dogs, cats, rats, birds, and rabbits at this practice. (Fun fact: I become pretty good at reading x-rays which I was very proud about.) I learned how to restrain properly (for all animals), draw blood, collect lab samples, express anal glands, nail trims, surgery monitoring, and lots of client care service. From there I moved to Seattle to work at a new veterinary practice. (If you are able to, please visit Seattle in the summer!) I missed home so I moved back after a while and started working at a veterinary hospital in Santa Monica. It was there were I learned the most because it was not only appointment based, but also a walk in/emergency clinic. Things got very chaotic and through this chaos it was my best work. I was the calm in the storm. I gave every single pet the exact same care no matter how neglected (we worked with the animal shelter and rescues) or how loved they were because they all deserve to feel cared for. I made sure that you pet parents deserved to feel safe trusting me with your pet's care. I have been with people on their best days with their new puppies and kittens and on their worst days saying goodbye to their family member. I understand how important your pet(s) are to you. I understand that it's not easy to trust a stranger with your pet(s). I understood that every time I met a new client, asking questions about your pet(s) history, taking their vitals, and hoping in that short time frame I earned enough trust from you to take your pet to the back while we performed services and safely return them back to you. If your pet(s) have any medications to give, you are in luck, I have a lot of experience in doing so. I helped pet parents at the clinic and in their own homes when they couldn't make it to the clinic any longer. I currently have a senior dog (she's 16), so I know that our senior baby's need extra care. I know they start having accidents inside the house again and have strict medications so rest assured, I would take care of your senior pups like I would take care of mine. They deserve it and you deserve a peace of mind about that. I will be working here on Rover in concurrent with my other job. I work from home so I am able to proficiently create a schedule that will make sure your pet(s) get the proper care they need. Our Meet & Greet will be mandatory as I want to know all the details of your pet's care and make sure that your pet(s) and my safety are aligned. Based off my veterinary experience, I can read a dog pretty well if they will be aggressive or timid or scared with a stranger's presence. I also want to know about your pet's quirks as I know almost everyone's pets have some because pets are funny that way. And I want to meet you to make sure we are a good fit for one another and that you feel safe trusting your pet's care with me. This relationship will be a two way street especially if it grows to be something more than once. As far as trusting me with your home, know that I have been helping my mom clean houses for over half my life (15+ years). She has her own business and has asked me to help out a lot throughout the years. I have been in people's homes in Pasadena, Thousand Oaks, Malibu, Lake Sherwood, Westlake Village, Santa Monica, Brentwood and more. Many family's have trusted me with taking care of their homes and leaving them more beautiful than I found them. I created great relationships with people's pets as well aka they knew when I arrived they would be getting lots of love and their welcome treat!
“DeShaude is responsible and great with dogs. He interacts well and has complete control walking the dog. He is personable and friendly. My dog loves to see him.”

About: Pet care is built into my daily routine. I work from home and my cats and I are pretty much attached at the hip. Their feeding schedule is four times a day, so my day naturally includes consistent check-ins, meals, playtime, and care. I focus on making cats feel safe, calm, and as low, stress as possible, especially when their routine is disrupted. I follow their lead and give them space to adjust at their own pace. Patience is key; I never force interaction and instead build trust through consistency, gentle care, and respecting their boundaries.

About: As a dedicated dog owner of two dogs, I understand the care, patience, and attention pets need to feel safe and happy. I’ve raised one of my dogs since he was a puppy so I’m familiar with basic training, routines, and building good habits early on. I also rescued my other dog as a stray, which taught me how to be gentle, observant, and supportive with dogs who may need extra time to adjust. I treat every dog like my own, making sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and loved while you’re away. I work part time and attend school online, which gives me a flexible schedule throughout the week. While my availability may vary, I’m able to plan ahead and make time for pet care, ensuring your dog gets consistent attention, walks, and care. I provide dog walking and daytime sitting in my clients homes so pets stay comfortable in their familiar environment. I follow your routine, prioritize safety on walks and give plenty of attention, care, and updates for peace of mind.
About: I grew up with dogs and a bird in my home. I took care of neighborhood pets including ferrets, cats, and frogs, and have been caring for animals for my whole life. I currently have a flexible schedule, so I'm happy to take care of animals during the day and in the evenings on weekdays. I take care of my dog Juniper every day as well, but she is comfortable on her own, in case I need to leave her at home and care for another pet. I have a 15ish pound chihuahua mix (Juniper) that gets along well with other dogs. We have a decent sized yard, with a section of that fenced in. We live right next to a small hiking trail, and Juniper and I will walk up on there every day unless the rain makes it too muddy to climb. If your dog is an outdoorsy type and likes horses, (we live right by a ranch) we'll have a nice time taking the trail. We also have several rooms in the house and can section off dogs as needed.

Erick has been great with Lilith! Last week was our first week with Erick as our new walker and he’s done great getting Lilith comfortable with him. He is great at communicating with me and even is thinking in advance as the temps rise to make sure we have a plan for midday walks this summer! I deeply appreciate him thinking about my dogs health and wellbeing like that!

Spencer is incredible! He’s been walking my dog Buffalo, and I couldn't be happier. He’s extremely punctual and has fast communication, which makes scheduling a breeze. It’s so reassuring that he owns the same breed; he truly understands their energy levels and how to handle them on a leash. He’s a total natural, and Buffalo always comes back happy!
I am so thankful to have found Deshuade on Rover one week before my trip . He made me feel so relieved since I first tried booking with him, I was able to let him know everything I needed when I wasn’t going to be here, and he even made time to meet up days before the appointment! I 100% recommend anybody to book him . He was so much help with walking and taking care of my big dog !

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
