“I will definitely use them again. They treated Frank as they would their own. They provided daily updates and pictures which made me feel so at ease. He looked so happy in every photo. He even went back to Elaine for pets when I picked him up so I know he really liked her. They are truly the best. Frank can’t wait to be babysat again.”

“They took such great care of my Daisy girl and sent lots of pictures every day! You can tell they truly love dogs. Can’t wait to book with them again!”

“Larry always loves his stays with Camille! She is so sweet and attentive and sends the best updates. Larry takes time to warm up but he always seems sad to leave! Thank you!!”

“Nicole was great with Frankie! Frankie was recovering from kennel cough when she stayed with Nicole and she was great about keeping me updated and giving Frankie her medication. Punctual, easy to communicate with, and Frankie was happy and exhausted when I picked her up!”

“This was our first time using Rover for our German Shepard, Axel and Buddy’s Retreat could not have made the experience more perfect! Christine was warm, thorough, and welcoming at our meet and greet. Easing any of our concerns and giving us a run through of a typical day. Drop off was quick and easy- Axel immediately felt at home! The updates were frequent with lots of happy puppy pictures from playing with the other dogs, numerous games of ball and snuggling in his bed. Our pup can even be a finicky eater and they were kind to try different treats to entice him to eat. Upon pickup Axel was the most calm I’ve ever see him after a time away from us. All this to say- Axel would be thrilled to go back! We highly recommend Buddy’s Retreat.”

“Marc and Lori were so wonderful to my Freddie. It was the perfect home away from home. They kept me updated with lots of fun photos, they are extremely responsive and even sent Freddie home with Christmas presents. I would highly recommend!’”

“We were lucky enough to have James be available to take care of Legend while my family and I were on a 7-day cruise. He provided us updates and some pics. We knew Legend was in good hands. We will definitely use James again.”

“I am so happy we found Kenzie! Being our first time leaving our puppy for any period of time, we felt completely comfortable leaving Bodhi with her. She sent us pictures and videos every day and it was clear to us that Bodhi was having a great time. 100% recommend Kenzie.”

“Olga is great! She is very responsive and provides regular updates. She's is great with my dog and I will certainly use her again to take care of Bruno. I highly recommend her for your pet.”

“Tricia was amazing at taking care of Zion with lots of cuddles and walks! She kept me updated with texts and pictures and didn’t hesitate to reach out with questions. Thank you!”

“Lily was great! I felt very comfortable leaving our dog with her! She also accommodated our travel schedule which was very helpful! Loved receiving photos and video as well! Thank you and we will book again!”

“recently boarded my 7-month-old Great Dane with Laura and Brian for three days while I was out of town, and I cannot express how grateful I am for the incredible care they provided. This was my first time leaving him overnight, and I had a lot of anxiety—especially because my dog is very nervous around other dogs. From day one, Laura was absolutely fantastic. She sent me tons of photos and videos throughout the day to reassure me, and it helped so much. Not only did they keep me updated, but they also worked with him patiently to build his confidence around other dogs. By the end of the first day, he was happily running around with a German Shepherd and even chasing another Great Dane! I probably received close to a hundred photos every day—so thoughtful, so kind, and truly above and beyond. Both Laura and her husband Brian clearly love what they do. They make an amazing team, and they treated my pup like one of their own. I couldn’t recommend them more. If you’re looking for a safe, loving, and attentive sitter, they are the ones to choose.”

“Kodi loves Brenda her family, and her dog Leeloo. He's always reluctant to leave them. She's so friendly, accommodating and welcoming. I highly recommend her boarding.”

“Aida and family were great. They took good care of our Benji and shared pics of him happy and relaxed so we wouldn't worry or miss him so much. I highly recommend Aida. We will definitely be back! 💕”

“Lizet was wonderful with bear. She gives you updates and photos/ videos on your pet which it really appreciative of. She treats your pets like they were her own. Bear felt comfortable with lizet and you can tell she enjoyed her stay with lizet. Bear found her forever sitter and new friends 😁💙”

“Alina was an incredible sitter for my dog moose! he stayed with her over the july 4th holiday- moose is a rescue with some special needs, including fear of fireworks and other dogs. Alina treated moose with care and compassion, and she gave me honest updates if moose was struggling (without me needing to ask). it is such a relief to have found someone who seriously cares about moose and will go the extra mile to make sure he is cared for and that I know how he is doing!! I will definitely be hiring Alina again, and would recommend her to any dog owner, especially those who might need a little extra support.”

“Life for really busy so I forgot to leave a review but Kristina and her family were so great with Harley. Sometimes Harley acts up to get upset that I leave her with a sitter but not at all this time. She was having so much fun with her and her kids, the quiet neighborhood, backyard, lots of playtime, and many long walks. It's a bit of a drive for me but even then I would make it anytime for Harley to get such amazing care when I'm not home!”

“Katrina has taken care of my elderly dog for two weeks while I was on an Asia trip. She was the best person for my dog to look after - kept up with the consistent communication, checked up on his health, and gave him the best walks. When I picked up my dog, he looked SO happy and even looked better!! My dog currently misses her after we left so I need to book her again soon!! 😂”

“Dayna is the way to go! She is just the best. My two cats absolutely love her, and I’m always at ease on short and extended trips, knowing Dayna is coming by. She follows instructions to the T, and never misses a beat. She gives extra love to your pets, and her photos are so great. You’ll feel like you’re not missing them, because I can tell how much fun the cats are having during play time. Thank you so much for staying, as always, my go-to sitter!”

“Katherine (Kat) did an overall amazing job with my two elderly kitties. She took such good care giving them what they needed. She also sent me lots of photos of them every day, thereby giving me peace of mind when I was away. On top of that my kitties were obviously crazy about her when I returned. I’m definitely going to use Katherine again.”

“Annie was available last minute for our trip and she took great care of our three cats. She sent lots of pictures and had good updates about them. She’s great!”

About: I love cats. I have a beautiful 9 year old cat named Leo. My experience with cats mostly comes from living with them. Before Leo there were two cats that I lived with Dude Kitty and Froderick and one was considered the mean cat but I got along with him just fine. I am also good with cleaning out litter boxes and making sure the area is swept up. I also don’t mind changing the litter. I would love to take care of your cat for you. I hope you will consider me.
“Jessica did a great job in updating me throughout our trip and making sure my cat was comfortable while I was away. He’s notoriously very shy and skittish around new people but warmed up to her very quickly! I would highly recommend her services!”

About: My father found my cats when they were tiny, as their mom had been killed. I took charge and fed them appropriately, from milk to hard food stage, as well as made sure to stimulate them for their bathroom cycles!
About: I am a former veterinary technician now turned dog walker and petsitter. I started off working with animals helping the ranch hands at Pierce College. I assisted with 3 kidding seasons and educating the new students on the goat unit. Towards the end this time, I simultaneously started working at my first veterinary practice. I was there for a long time where I learned all the key basic teachings of veterinary medicine. I worked with dogs, cats, rats, birds, and rabbits at this practice. (Fun fact: I become pretty good at reading x-rays which I was very proud about.) I learned how to restrain properly (for all animals), draw blood, collect lab samples, express anal glands, nail trims, surgery monitoring, and lots of client care service. From there I moved to Seattle to work at a new veterinary practice. (If you are able to, please visit Seattle in the summer!) I missed home so I moved back after a while and started working at a veterinary hospital in Santa Monica. It was there were I learned the most because it was not only appointment based, but also a walk in/emergency clinic. Things got very chaotic and through this chaos it was my best work. I was the calm in the storm. I gave every single pet the exact same care no matter how neglected (we worked with the animal shelter and rescues) or how loved they were because they all deserve to feel cared for. I made sure that you pet parents deserved to feel safe trusting me with your pet's care. I have been with people on their best days with their new puppies and kittens and on their worst days saying goodbye to their family member. I understand how important your pet(s) are to you. I understand that it's not easy to trust a stranger with your pet(s). I understood that every time I met a new client, asking questions about your pet(s) history, taking their vitals, and hoping in that short time frame I earned enough trust from you to take your pet to the back while we performed services and safely return them back to you. If your pet(s) have any medications to give, you are in luck, I have a lot of experience in doing so. I helped pet parents at the clinic and in their own homes when they couldn't make it to the clinic any longer. I currently have a senior dog (she's 16), so I know that our senior baby's need extra care. I know they start having accidents inside the house again and have strict medications so rest assured, I would take care of your senior pups like I would take care of mine. They deserve it and you deserve a peace of mind about that. I will be working here on Rover in concurrent with my other job. I work from home so I am able to proficiently create a schedule that will make sure your pet(s) get the proper care they need. Our Meet & Greet will be mandatory as I want to know all the details of your pet's care and make sure that your pet(s) and my safety are aligned. Based off my veterinary experience, I can read a dog pretty well if they will be aggressive or timid or scared with a stranger's presence. I also want to know about your pet's quirks as I know almost everyone's pets have some because pets are funny that way. And I want to meet you to make sure we are a good fit for one another and that you feel safe trusting your pet's care with me. This relationship will be a two way street especially if it grows to be something more than once. As far as trusting me with your home, know that I have been helping my mom clean houses for over half my life (15+ years). She has her own business and has asked me to help out a lot throughout the years. I have been in people's homes in Pasadena, Thousand Oaks, Malibu, Lake Sherwood, Westlake Village, Santa Monica, Brentwood and more. Many family's have trusted me with taking care of their homes and leaving them more beautiful than I found them. I created great relationships with people's pets as well aka they knew when I arrived they would be getting lots of love and their welcome treat!

I raised my sisters 5 year old cat and took care of him while she was at work for months. Love cats and would be happy to look after them!

“Erin was very friendly and communicative, sending lots of photos and details of her visits with pebbles! She also was very flexible on when to come for a pre-visit before the sit. Thank you Erin, I’d love to book you again in the future!”

About: While my main focus has been dogs, I have the same level of fondness for kitties. I love to try and engage with them or give them their space until they feel comfortable. I take no offense to the occasional scratch or bite. I have experience giving meds and giving just the right amount of butt scritches. Nothing better than home made muffins from a happy cat!

“Aida was great! Shes very caring about our dog Nicos well being! He is a naturally nervous puppy, but she works with him to get him out of his shell! Shes responsive and communicates throughout the day! Am booking again as we speak!”

“Marcelo and his wife provided exceptional care for my dog, Tobie. Despite Tobie's initial protectiveness and territorial behavior, they persevered, demonstrating consistent effort and understanding. They remained undeterred by his attempts to withdraw or display warning signals. Consequently, Tobie acclimated to their presence quickly. I received a text message confirming his well-being shortly after departing. Upon my return, Tobie showed reluctance to leave, even glancing back to see if Marcelo's wife was accompanying us. I highly recommend their services, particularly for owners of protective dogs. Their patience and commitment to ensuring Tobie's comfort were truly commendable.”

“We needed day care for a couple of days during a trip from the Bay Area to Southern California, and I’m so happy I found Amorn and Adam to look after our senior toy poodle, Jubilee. During her stay, they sent lots of photos on her progress and interactions with other dogs, helping to give me peace of mind that all was fine. They demonstrated such kindness and understanding towards our little one, who shakes nervously in unfamiliar environments. They adapted to her shy-ish ways, let her be and gave her a comfy blanket on which to sit or lie. As quickly as the second day when handing her to Adam, Jubilee didn’t even shake, she was actually quite calm, and that was amazing. I am 110% pleased with their services. Thank you so much Amorn and Adam!”

“My dog was so happy with Olga!! My dog is usually anxious in new environments but she settled in immediately upon arriving and was happier when we picked her up than I’ve ever seen her before at day care. Thank you, Olga!”

About: I have over 6 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs in Los Angeles. I have cared for many breeds, ages, and personalities, including dogs with medical needs such as English Bulldogs. What sets me apart is the level of care and love I give. I treat every dog as if they were my own, with patience, attention, and genuine affection. I carefully follow routines, special instructions, and health needs. Our building has a private dog park, which makes potty breaks and daily walks easy and safe. Dogs get regular outdoor time in a secure space without busy streets, helping them feel relaxed, comfortable, and at home. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I am always at home. I do not work outside the house, so I am able to give dogs full attention throughout the day. I am available every day for feeding, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and companionship. Dogs are never left alone for long periods and always have someone watching over them. I enjoy having dogs around and caring for them is part of my everyday life. I care for dogs in my home with lots of love, patience, and attention. I make sure they always have fresh food and water, follow their routines, and take them out for potty breaks and walks three to four times a day. I also spend time playing with them and giving them affection so they feel calm and happy. My building is quiet, dog friendly, and safe. It has a private dog park, which allows dogs to go outside easily without walking on busy streets. This creates a relaxed and secure environment for potty breaks, exercise, and optional interaction with other dogs if they enjoy it. My goal is for every dog to feel safe, comfortable, and truly at home.
“Mandoo had the BEST time at daycare and clearly was so well taken care of and loved. Steve was so thoughtful especially as Mandoo is a young puppy. He came back home so exhausted from a fun day- definitely looking forward to more daycare days!”

About: I've owned and cared for dogs since childhood! I love small and large breeds and have experience with puppies and elderly dogs. All are loved in my home. Hey! I'm Nicole — a North Hollywood homeowner with a big fenced yard, lots of outdoor space, and a maltipoo puppy named Arff who'll happily show your doggy around. I also have a six year old who will happily spend time with your dog if they enjoy children! I work from home and all dogs are genuinely part of the family here, meaning your dog sleeps inside, hangs out with us, and gets real attention — not crate time. I keep things small on purpose: I host up to two guest dogs at a time so I can give full attention to your pet. Whether your dog is a puppy figuring things out or a senior who just wants a soft couch and some sunshine, they'll be comfortable here. We can also accommodate dogs that need a little extra space and a quiet setting. Just let us know what would be best!
About: I have a rich personal history of caring for dogs. Since childhood, I’ve lived in a family with dogs of all sizes — from a small breed like the Russian Toy Terrier to a large breed like the Collie. This gave me experience with different temperaments, energy levels, and care needs. Later, I had a pug of my own, and taking care of him was a big part of my daily life. He taught me responsibility, patience, and how to be attentive to a dog’s emotional well-being. I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, brushing, playing, and simply spending time with dogs. I always try to create a calm, safe space where they can feel relaxed and loved. I am currently not employed full-time, which gives me the flexibility to fully dedicate my time and attention to caring for your dog. I am available during the day for walks, playtime, and companionship, and I can also offer overnight care in a calm and cozy environment. I’m also happy to arrange drop-off or pick-up at any time that works best for you. This allows me to give your dog plenty of love and attention both day and night. I live in a spacious apartment in Sun Valley, Los Angeles, with a securely fenced area outside — perfect for safe potty breaks and fresh air. The space is comfortable for both small and large dogs, with plenty of room to play, relax, and feel at ease. My home is quiet, pet-free, and air-conditioned, making it a comfortable space during warmer days. I also live near a local park, which is great for longer walks and some extra fun time outside. Your dog will have my full attention, and I always do my best to create a warm, loving environment that feels just like home.
“Cheryl has been so great with my dogs - they immediately felt comfortable in her home. She watched all 3 of them together and they enjoyed being at her house and hanging out with her while I went to work. Cheryl is really easy to work with, super responsive and attentive to the dogs needs. I look forward to to booking daycare with her again.”

“We are beyond grateful for everything Brenda has done for us. She has always been there for our requests, even the last-minute ones and never makes us feel like an inconvenience. Oakley absolutely loves his walks and outings with her, and it gives us so much peace of mind knowing he’s in such good hands. I haven’t been able to leave a review every single time we’ve booked her, but we keep coming back to Brenda for a reason. She’s reliable, caring, and truly amazing.”

I’m usually very particular about who watches Henry, as he’s an anxious dog and needs someone calm and experienced. Nicole exceeded my expectations—she was gentle, patient, and highly professional. Henry felt completely at ease with her, which says a lot. It’s clear she genuinely loves dogs and knows how to make them feel safe and comfortable. I would gladly have her care for Henry again and highly recommend her to others.”

“Margarita was amazing!!! We went on vacation for a week and had her walk our dog twice a day. She kept us in the loop and provided us with picture, videos, on each walk which I loved. While we were away, our housesitter had to leave a couple of times, and Margarita was able to work with the information we gave her last minute and returned our dog safely inside the house. I would highly recommend Margarita!!!”

“Dana is wonderful! She does a great job with our young, energetic dog Marty, who can be difficult to manage on a leash. Marty loves Dana and looks forward to his walks with her! He always comes back happy and tired out!”

About: I grew up with dogs and a bird in my home. I took care of neighborhood pets including ferrets, cats, and frogs, and have been caring for animals for my whole life. I currently have a flexible schedule, so I'm happy to take care of animals during the day and in the evenings on weekdays. I take care of my dog Juniper every day as well, but she is comfortable on her own, in case I need to leave her at home and care for another pet. I have a 15ish pound chihuahua mix (Juniper) that gets along well with other dogs. We have a decent sized yard, with a section of that fenced in. We live right next to a small hiking trail, and Juniper and I will walk up on there every day unless the rain makes it too muddy to climb. If your dog is an outdoorsy type and likes horses, (we live right by a ranch) we'll have a nice time taking the trail. We also have several rooms in the house and can section off dogs as needed.
About: Although newer to Rover, I've been dog sitting for years and have cared for dogs and other animals most of my life. I volunteer weekly at a local animal sanctuary where I care for many different kinds of animals. Having always been a Dog Mom, I have house trained Pekingese, Lab, Rottweiler, English Mastiff, as well as pound puppies so I feel comfortable with all dog breeds and love every minute with them. Day care or overnights available 7 days a week - can pick up /drop off locally for small fee. Same day availability is also an option. I have a large fenced in yard with a pool . Pool is open for dogs to swim. Dogs would sleep indoors at night time.

“Seanna is amazing. She takes such good care of my little guy, even when he’s being a troublemaker. She is so professional, flexible and gives the BEST updates. I look forward to reading them every time and I always know he is safe and loved when she is caring for him. thank you so very much for all you do.”

About: Pet care is built into my daily routine. I work from home and my cats and I are pretty much attached at the hip. Their feeding schedule is four times a day, so my day naturally includes consistent check-ins, meals, playtime, and care. I focus on making cats feel safe, calm, and as low, stress as possible, especially when their routine is disrupted. I follow their lead and give them space to adjust at their own pace. Patience is key; I never force interaction and instead build trust through consistency, gentle care, and respecting their boundaries.
“DeShaude is responsible and great with dogs. He interacts well and has complete control walking the dog. He is personable and friendly. My dog loves to see him.”

“Emily was delightful. I will be booking her again! I scheduled her to walk my 5-year-old Aussie for 10 days after I had surgery, and I couldn't walk him myself. He can be a handful, especially if another dog barks at him, and he had never been walked by a "stranger". She handled him very well and he returned home happy and tired. Emily was never late, texted me a few minutes before arriving, and sent photos of them along the walk. She is great and I can highly recommend her. Thank you Emily!!”

“Peter was amazing with Opal! I know this because he always kept me updated by sending me videos of what she was up to while I was away. He also accommodated me when I wasn’t able to make my original pickup time which I know can be a huge hassle. I trusted Peter with my dog the second I did the meet n greet with him at his home. He has a great backyard for his personal dogs and clients and she was able to get the exercise and attention she loves to have. I’ve been looking for someone I can rely on as Opal’s babysitter when I’m busy for the day or out of town and I’m very sure I just found him! Thanks so much Peter!”

“Stephen is always quick to respond to sitting requests and makes booking and scheduling very easy. This was my dog’s second stay and she always comes back refreshed and happy. We get regular pictures and videos for updates on her experience. I highly recommend.”

“Angie asked great questions during a meet and greet to ensure Angie had all the information to provide dog care for our two pups! Angie was communicative and sent us great photos throughout the stay. Great sitter and can’t wait to book again!”

“This was Charlie's first time using DV. I was a bit nervous due to I have a sitter that stays at my home. We had a meet n greet and Charlie did great, then when I dropped him for his vacation, he went right out the dog door and never looked back. At that point, I was at ease. Brandi and Jared sent us a photo update not long after we dropped him off and he look like he was having a good time. I'm glad to have found Brandi and Jared and hope to use them again in the future if they are no booked up!”

“Reesie had a great time during her stay with Sandi and her partner. We did a meet and greet the week before and Reesie was immediately comfortable exploring their home and their backyard. Sandi also took to Reesie very well making me feel assured that Reesie would be in good hands during her stay. Sandi provided pictures of Reesie each day and responded quickly to any questions I had. Reesie looks forward to staying with her again. I would definitely recommend Sandi!”

“Stacey made it feel safe and easy to leave my dog with her. Stella is an anxious dog, and Stacey was great with her. She was very responsive and I will be using her services again in the future.”
“You would be lucky to have Cheryl watch your pup! She is the absolute best! I can’t thank her enough for opening her home to our dog and welcoming her in like one of her own! She gave us updates and gave our dog a great holiday while we were away. Thank you Cheryl!”

“Salim and Alex were fantastic with Oscar. I got updates everyday and Oscar appeared to be truly happy and healthy in their care. In fact, when I showed up, I don't think he wanted to leave them! I would highly recommend Salim and Alex to sit and I would happily use them again.”
