About: Hello! My name is Autumn (: I’ve grown up with all different types of animals my whole life, I currently have 2 fur babies myself! I have a Border Collie Mix (Laszlo) and a big Golden Doodle (Cooper)! I’ve been pet and house sitting animals outside of my own since I was 12 years and old, and as a side hustle all throughout high school/college. I love animals will ALL my heart and would love to help care for others pets of any age or breed ☺️ I’m currently working mornings at my job so I have lots of free time in the afternoon/nights and weekends which I know a lot of people who either have to work late or night shift may need some help with! My partner works from home so he’s always with our fur babies which gives me time to help out others! I am more than happy to do whatever’s on your checklist to care for your fur baby, sending a picture of them to ease any of your worries, crating when leaving, leaving them in a designated area of the home, and I have experience with giving medication if needed also! I know the worries that can come with leaving your fur babies with someone else and I would guarantee treating them with the same love and care that I give my own pets!

About: Since I was young, I grew up raising 2 dogs, a black lab/great dane mutt, and a pure bred pug. Huge difference between the two, but they had beautiful hearts and the same paws all the same. Now, I have two kittens at home that I bottle fed until now, and I get what it’s like to worry at home while your old pup is struggling to walk, or when your kitten needs around the clock meals. Call me, book me and i’ll be there for any pet big and small! I’m currently transitioning out of a job so I wanted to spend my days working in a different, refreshing way! I live alone with my two kitties, so I have lots of free time in the day. I live attached to a private property soccer field which my cats like to walk around in once a day, and I would love to bring more pets around. My kitties are okay with other pets, but if yours aren’t, then my cats are always okay going on their walk earlier in the day.
About: I’ve lived with and cared for animals all my life, and understand the kind of love and attention they need. Currently a cat mom of 1 and love meeting new furry friends! I’m currently working part-time from home, so can be available fairly often and am not traveling anywhere myself for a minute, so can be available for holidays or last minute care. Not currently caring for new animals in my home, but I do have a fenced yard if a brief stay were needed under extenuating circumstances.
“Claudia was fantastic!! My cat took to her right away. She was very good with keeping me updated with photos that gave me so much relief while I was away.”

“We are so incredibly lucky to have found Sea! We were going on a last minute family vacation and our usual pet sitter couldn’t make it. We only had a few days to find someone to watch our dog and cat, and thank goodness Sea responded right away and was able to help us! We had a meet and greet literally the day before we were leaving, and Sea picked up on everything so quickly we already knew we were leaving our fur babies (and plant babies!) in good hands. Sea was so good about her updates and some were so funny it gave us a good chuckle! We will definitely be using Sea again!!”

About: German shepherds have been living with my family for decades. Loyal dogs to whom I'm grateful. Meeting new friends is fun, and opportunities to walk together are welcome. I'm currently in study mode. Got a certificate after months of work. To get out and meet new pets and people sounds good. I'm taking online classess, and spending some time to look for work in my field. Which are low-voltage & networking. So going for walks is a welcome activity. I used to live in a country-side house. The dogs would mostly take care of themselves. Except for the feeding, grooming, cleaning parts. I like meeting new friends, and I would inquire about the pets' preferences; the owners' too.
About: I’ve had the pleasure of caring for 2 dogs, Max & Layla that were unwanted and abandoned, both lived long and happy lives under my care, reaching ages 16 & 13. Sadly Max passed away in June of 2017 and Layla passed away in September of 2024 I currently work in the health and fitness industry, typically from 5:30am - 1:30pm. Therefore I am available most afternoons and early evenings 7 days a week I spent 20 years taking care of dogs with special needs, I have a lot of experience in keeping both people and pets in a safe and happy environment
“Kat has done such a great job getting to know our shy anxious dog, she's very communicative during her drop-ins and we look forward to working with her regularly!”

“Margarita went the extra mile for peanuts check in and I suggested she bring her own dog so peanut can have a quick play sesh and it worked out perfectly they got along so well and their energies matched 🥰”

“Kudy's the best! She flawlessly managed my somewhat complicated and particular instructions that I requested last minute and sent over in a series of only mildly coherent texts (sorry and thank you for putting up with me it's been a week).. definitely will always check to see if she's available first whenever I need a Rover sitter 💛”

“Niki was absolutely wonderful with our two dogs during her two drop-in visits! From the beginning, her communication was clear and responsive. She was very accommodating when I asked for a meet and greet beforehand, and her sweet, friendly spirit instantly put us—and our pups—at ease. She arrived right on time for each visit, followed all our instructions perfectly, and treated our home with respect. Most importantly, she gave our dogs lots of love and attention. We’re so grateful to have found her and would happily book her again!”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs, cats, fish, and even a tortoise on occasion for the past several years and I’m quite good at it. Interested in long term gigs I can do during the week but I’m also mostly available on the weekends I work Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm but am willing to commute to work from your home if I’m staying at your place during the week and your pet can be left alone during the day. I can take care of your pets before and after work no problem I follow the rules set forth by the owners regarding the animal’s well being and safety if they can go outside or not and I always make sure the animal is let outside in a secure area

About: I am a licensed social worker, mom and an animal lover. I have always had dogs. Mine died a little over a year ago and I’m not ready to get my own, but I really love having dogs in my life. I’m hoping to find a few regulars to give (and receive) love and exercise. I have a very flexible schedule. It would be very easy for me to fit pet care into it. I am a psychotherapist and I do telehealth sessions from my house. I am a loving, honest, responsible person, and I would treat your dog and your home like my own. I would love to become one of your dog’s favorite people.
About: Hi! I am an animal lover with a calm, grounding energy that pets instantly gravitate to. I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life, and caring for them has always felt second nature. I’ve taken care of cats and dogs with all kinds of needs, including: * Pets with anxiety or nervous temperaments * Pets wearing cones * Administering oral medicines * Building trust with shy or older cats * Keeping energetic dogs stimulated * Maintaining routines for multi-pet households I genuinely love talking to animals and treating them like individuals — learning their quirks, their boundaries, and what makes them happy and relaxed. I’m really big on communication, gentle handling, and creating a safe, reliable environment for your pet while you’re away. Your pet won’t just be watched — they’ll be cared for, respected, and given real attention. Pet care fits naturally and easily into my daily life. I work from home, which gives me a lot of flexibility to structure my day around your pet’s needs. Whether your pet needs morning check-ins, mid-day walks, evening feedings, or multiple visits spread throughout the day, I’m able to adjust my schedule and be there consistently. Because I’m home most of the time, I can offer: * Flexible visit windows * Last-minute bookings when you need backup * Extra time with pets who need more attention or reassurance * Reliable routines that match your pet’s normal schedule When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine consistent and comfortable. I follow your instructions closely—feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, and any specific rules your pet is used to. I adjust my approach to each animal’s personality, whether they’re shy, energetic, or need a gentle, calming presence. I treat your home with respect, keep things clean, and make sure everything is left the way you prefer. Throughout the stay, I send clear updates and photos so you always feel connected and informed. My goal is to make your pet feel safe and cared for, and to give you the peace of mind that everything at home is in good hands while you’re away.
“DeShaude is fabulous and he was wonderful with Teddy. He is patient and able to handle an 81lb.Golden retriever who loves to run and pull. DeShaude is very responsible and punctual. Your pup will be in excellent hands!”

About: I am a huge animal lover. I grew up around dogs and have pet sat for many friends and family. I also have spent the last 8 years around cats as well: One of my dogs had Addisons disease so being around sick and emotional dogs is not a problem for me. I can also administer oral medication. I love being around and caring for animals. I am willing to work hard and make sure your dog is taken care of as if they were a part of my own family. I love playing fetch and just running around playing with dogs. I have no problem also spending my time with puppies in fact I would greatly enjoy it. I would also love to take your dog for walks even in cold weather. If you have a cat I would enjoy spending time playing with them and I am willing and able to scoop, change, and sweep up cat litter as this is something I do on a daily basis for my own cat Leo. I hope you will consider me. I am currently a student so as long as I am not in class I am free to check on your pets. Most of my classes are afternoon and evening but there are sometimes breaks in between classes as well. I am also completely free on weekends. I would make sure to let your dog out or take them for a walk so they go potty. I would make sure they are fed and just generally spend time with them brushing, playing, or just petting. If the pet is a cat I would make sure to check and scoop the litter and make sure they have food and of course spend some time with them brushing or playing.
About: I’ve had pets for as long as I can remember. I’ve had big dogs and small dogs. I currently have 3 cats and 2 dogs which I love with all my heart. Being around them has made me enjoy watching after them and ensuring they get the physical and emotional nourishment they need. ☺️ My schedule allows plenty of time for me to hang out with your pets! I make sure they’re not just stuck at home bored. I like to take them to the park or maybe just walks around the neighborhood. I Watch them very closely and make sure they are entertained. I play with them as much as I can and cuddle as well. 💞

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Sun Valley
Dana is a wonderful and thoughtful sitter. The photos that she sent of our dog and cat showed how happy they were with her. We felt secure in our choice of sitter and would definitely choose Dana in the future. She even watered our tomatoes while we were gone! Excellent sitter all around!

Once again, Shanna took excellent care of my boys! She did all the basics like food, water, litter, and treats, but she also went above and beyond with extend play time, pictures, videos, temperature checks, and mail checks. The boys love her, and it’s clear to see why!

Paris did an excellent job taking care of my cat, who is a very picky eater and slow to trust anyone. She gave me regular updates and was very patient trying new techniques to get him to eat and socialize. I came home to a very happy kitty! Overall Paris was a responsible sitter who went above and beyond to make sure my scaredy cat was well taken care of. I’d trust her to watch my pet again.

I booked Ana to take care of my cat while I was away and it was my first time using Rover. She was very communicative, the meet and greet went well, and my cat totally trusted her off the bat. She paid close attention to detail while following my pets regular routine and my pet felt right at home while I was away. Would definitely trust Ana to take care of my cat again, she was great!

Jessica did a great job taking care of our senior kitty while we were out of town! She is very kind and considerate and communicated well with us, sent us lots of pictures of our little guy, and kept us up to date on his appetite! Really appreciate your help, Jessica!

Ella did such an amazing job with my senior dog!! She even went an extra visit to make sure the AC was working! Seeing all of Saharas happy report card photos, and knowing how well she was taken care of made me feel so at ease during my trip. I cannot say enough good things! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!! 🤗🐾

Anna was excellent with my fur babies. They seemed super happy in the photos she took. All visits had little blurbs with how the check-ins went. She was very professional and didn’t hesitate to ask any additional questions with information I missed. I’ll definitely be reaching out again anytime I’m in need of a sitter!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
