About: I’ve been around animals since I was 6! I’m extremely comfortable around all kinds of pets, having previously owned dogs, cats, small rodents and snakes. I also used to work overnight at a dog daycare and am comfortable handling various breeds and all ages of dogs. I am also okay with senior pets since I have one myself! Due to that, I’m experienced with handling medicine and sticking to a routine. I’m used to oral and topical medication but am willing to learn any other sorts to take care of your loved one! I’m currently a student who creates her own work schedule so I will make sure to have all the time needed to take care of your pet! When i do have classes, I will be sure to make my availability known.

About: I trained both of my own dogs (a full size Merle golden doodle + chihuahua) and have cared for senior dogs too. I’m patient, reliable and treat every animal like family. Being vegan is part of that same love for animals. I’m at ease with dogs of any size and experienced in handling bigger, stronger breeds safely. About: Hi! My name is Alexis, and animals have always been one of the biggest joys in my life. I absolutely love dogs, cats, and animals of all kinds. I’ve had cats and dogs my entire life, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. I currently have two dogs and five cats of my own, so I understand the love, attention, and commitment that pets need every day. If you know me, you know I’m the person who gets excited every time I see a dog on a walk or a cat lounging outside. I’m always the first one asking if I can pet a dog, and I never pass by a stray animal without trying to make sure it has food, water, or a little kindness. My love for animals is genuine, and spending time with them never feels like a job to me. Over the years, I’ve also helped care for my own pets when they’ve been sick. Whenever one of my cats or dogs needed medication, special care, or extra attention, I was usually the one making sure they got what they needed. Because of this, I’m comfortable following care instructions and being patient with pets who may need a little extra support. In addition to my experience with animals, I work in healthcare, which has taught me the importance of responsibility, attentiveness, and compassion. I understand how important it is to pay attention to details, follow routines, and provide quality care—skills that I bring with me when caring for pets as well. I’m often the go-to pet sitter for family and friends whenever they need someone reliable to care for their pets. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, cuddles, medication administration, or simply keeping your pet company while you’re away, I treat every animal as if they were my own. I know that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision. My goal is to make sure your furry family member feels safe, loved, comfortable, and cared for while giving you peace of mind that they’re in good hands. I can’t wait to meet you and your pets! Pet care fits really naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I currently work night shift, which means my days are usually free and very flexible. Because of that, I have plenty of time and availability to dedicate to walking, drop-ins, and spending quality time with pets during the day. I actually love that my schedule allows me to be fully present when I’m caring for animals—I’m not rushing between work or distracted by a 9–5 schedule. I can give pets my full attention, whether that means morning walks, midday visits, feeding routines, playtime, or just keeping them company and making sure they feel comfortable while you’re away. My routine also makes it easy for me to be consistent and reliable with scheduling. I’m used to balancing responsibilities and working odd hours, so I’m very organized and good at sticking to care instructions and time-sensitive routines. Overall, my flexible daytime availability makes pet care a perfect fit for my lifestyle, and I really enjoy being able to spend that time doing something I genuinely love. When caring for pets in a client’s home, my main priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and as relaxed as possible while their owners are away. I always take time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and any special instructions so I can keep things consistent and familiar for them. I approach every visit with patience and calm energy, letting pets warm up to me at their own pace. Whether it’s feeding, walks, litter box cleaning, playtime, or just spending quiet time together, I make sure each pet gets the attention and care they need. I’m also very detail-oriented when it comes to following instructions. If a pet has a specific feeding schedule, medication routine, or special care needs, I make sure everything is done exactly as requested. I have experience administering medications and caring for pets with extra medical needs, so I’m comfortable handling those responsibilities with care and reliability. While I’m in the home, I also make sure everything stays clean, respectful, and as you left it. My goal is not only to care for your pet, but to give you peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands and your home is being respected. Most importantly, I treat every pet like they’re my own—always with love, patience, and attention to their unique personality.

About: Hi my name is Amy I am currently enrolled in Animal Behavior College and working on becoming a dog groomer. I have experience with young to senior pets. I am in the process of complete my Pet CPR certification. I understand the occasional pet vomiting accident can happen and I will happily clean up after a sickly pet the priority is always their comfort and health. Throughout my life friends, family, neighbors would have me take care of their pets when they needed help to walk them, groom, bathe or pet-sit. I had the wonderful opportunity to work at a animal rescue for senior dogs recently and it’s been life changing. I am currently working part time at a animal rescue and have a very flexible schedule. I am available on the weekdays and the weekend. Growing up I had a variety of pets from dogs, cats, birds, chickens, turtles, and even a possum at some point. I got my first dog at 6 years old, I would ask my dad everyday after work for a dog until one day he came home with a puppy in his hands and my love for animals never faded since. As we grew together I learned to train/groom/walk her. She taught me the importance of being patient. I am currently 23 and I have had a variety of pets since. I use to volunteer at a pet shop, took animal care classes at a animal shelter, and I currently work at a nonprofit for animal rescue where senior dogs are rescued.

About: Hello, my name is Mayra Esparza. I have 8 years of personal experience working with dogs and about 1 year of professional experience. Currently I am an employee at a doggie daycare in Studio City where I look after about 40-60 large dogs on a daily basis. As a doggie daycare attendant I am in charge of feeding all our doggies (while following all feeding instuctions given by the owner), cleaning up after them, administering all oral and topical medications, and most importantly looking after the well being of all the doggies. I am extremely lucky to have the opportunity to work with dogs on a daily basis. Everyday I get to see how loving, funny, and intelligent dogs are. I love the bonds I have grown with so many of the doggies I see on a regular basis, and I truly cannot wait to form a bond with your doggie as well.

I got my first when I was about 10 years of age so I have at least 15 years of experience with dogs and you can trust me with taking good care of them. Now I have two little doggies named Molly and Lulu who I love taking for walks and I'd love the opportunity to walk more of your dogs. • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
