“La Jolla and Boom were so happy to go on their walk together. It's not easy at all to take both of them together as they both pull hard and they are big Shepherds but Jill did it successfully. It is so satisfying to see your dogs smiling happily after a long walk with their new friend, Jill???”

About: Now I’ve had every pet under the sun. Dogs, cats, rats, lizards, fish… at one point I had six guinea pigs and my apartment was damn near a zoo. I’m an animal lover through and through and have been the person to go to whenever anyone has a pet they can no longer take care of. I’m new to Rover but not new to dog walking. It started when my dear friend had a baby and I felt like it was a small way to pitch in. I’ve been walking her Husky every single day since and it’s become one of the tasks that I look forward to most. Schedule wise I have a bit of freedom before I return to graduate school in the fall to become a therapist. So, with my current flexibility, I figured that I could offer my services to other people who may be in similar situations. Maybe you recently had a (human) baby and your dog baby is staring out the window wistfully, Maybe the return-to-office mandate ruined your schedule and is trying to ruin your happiness too. No matter the reason, your dog will be in good hands with me! I’m available between 11-5pm Mondays through Fridays for either regular dog walking or last minute needs. I am a part time caregiver and am usually unavailable on weekends. I am not able to care for (additional) pets in my home at this time, but I’m more than willing to come to your place. I am responsible, communicative, and flexible to you and your pet’s needs.

“Haley is wonderful! She is very communicative, she is always prompt and she loves my dog. I couldn’t be happier and confidently recommend her to anyone.”

Whether it's feeding, exercise, or simply companionship, I tailor my approach to meet your pet’s unique needs and keep them happy and healthy. I adhere to the client's guidelines and routines to ensure their pet's comfort and security. I maintain the pet's regular schedule for feeding, exercise, and medication. I also keep the home clean and organized, including managing litter boxes and pet bedding. Additionally, I provide regular updates and photos to keep the owner informed about their pet’s well-being.

About: I was raised in a household with two dogs and multiple cats. I have also dog sat many times in the past for friends and family. I love being outside and will treat your animals as if they were my own. I am a recently graduated medical student awaiting my residency start date in July. With that being said, my schedule is currently completely open to care for animals. I figured it was a great way to make some extra money while also getting in exercise/sunlight. I will never put your animals in an endangering situation. I can recognize animal body language and will ensure that your animal is always happy and stress-free when with me.

About: I've been a part time pet sitter and dog walker for close to 30 years. I've also worked at petting zoos and exotic pet stores. My experience with past client's pets as well as my own special needs pets, gave me the experience to administer medications, insulin shots and subcutaneous (sub-q) fluids. I can also water your plants if you're away on vacation (plants are the new pets and pets are the new children!) I've been a long time pet owner of everything from dogs, cats, birds, fish and other small animals. I've also fostered cats and dogs. I am currently taking a long break from my busy career and getting back into pet sitting. I've got a flexible schedule to dedicate to your pet. Safety and security is a priority, so rest assured I will take great care of your pet. Keeping a clean, healthy and happy environment is paramount to the development of your pet.

About: I’ve been caring for animals since I was young, especially dogs. I have experience raising multiple litters of puppies and feel confident working with all breeds and sizes, from large Dobermans to small Maltese. Furthermore, I’m also comfortable with cats and have provided care for them on occasion. This wide range of experience helps me feel at ease handling everything from energetic puppies to senior pets. I’m always available in the early mornings for a nice stroll or run. My regular work hours are 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Saturday. I’m constantly free every morning for walks! I can also perform morning check-ups and nightly check-ins for owners who are out of town, as well as stay overnight when needed. I am very vigilant while walking dogs and caring for pets. I ensure the well-being of both dogs and cats, providing them with as much affection and attention as they need. House sitting is more than just watching the pets, I'll make sure the house stays safe and secure as well.

About: Dogs have been a part of my life since I was a child; wherever I go; whether that be on dog walks, dog sitting for friends, or house sitting with animals . I have always been the friend to help train puppies as well the puppies in my family. That has ranged from beagles/corgis to pitbulls/bulldogs. Size or age does not make a difference I enjoy giving love to all the doggies. I am currently available for dog walking and house sitting 24/7 with adequate notice. I also do not have any time obligations at the moment. I am available to provide service at client’s home daily. I am able to do potty breaks, love check-ins, and walks at whatever time frame works best for your pet’s lifestyle.

About: Caring for pets takes patience, intuition, encouragement and lots of love. All animals want something and I am usually able to fulfill their needs and make sure that they are loved and cared for. My standards are high and I can follow instructions diligently as well as show initiative. Special skills include handling puppies and staying consistent with training. Also caring for dogs who may need extra assistance and attention due to seniority or perhaps impaired vision or hearing. I’m currently working part time so I’ll have plenty of time for your pets. Available daily for in house visits, walks, and pet sitting. I’m prompt and reliable with scheduling. I care for pets in clients home as per instructions provided. However if I see that there’s anything a bit off or if I need help I will contact the pet owner. I am able to crate dogs easily if they have already been introduced to crate training. I always pick up after the dog on walks and dispose of the bag appropriately. If the pet owner wishes for me to brush their dog I’m also happy to do so given the proper tools are in decent shape and available. Same with playing with toys and or ball, I’m happy to do so and I am always happy to report and take photos and send to pet owner(s). If desired you may send a simple list of do’s and dont’s for me to follow. I always want to elevate the experience for all and communication is everything.

“Truly amazing how attentive Shaina was helping with my pup Reggie. Quality walk even with the rainy weather conditions and making sure my pup had fresh water as soon as they were back inside. Contacting her again as soon as possible for another dog walk!”

About: I’ve owned two dogs since I was able to talk well into their old age, both recently having passed. Since they were my dogs, I fell in love with training them, and how they enjoy the world in a way that reminds us to appreciate. I am currently working afternoon/night shifts as a Dog Trainer, however I’m usually up when the sun is so morning walks are right up my alley! Willing to do a late night walk as well. Currently living in a one bedroom apartment complex. I do own a vehicle and with permission am willing to drive our small friends to a nice patch of grass.

About: Hi there! I moved to California exactly a year ago, and it’s been such a joy connecting with new paw-rents and their amazing animals. I bring over 8 years of hands-on experience in animal care—including kennel work, fostering, house sitting, dog walking, and drop-in visits. I previously worked for a pet care agency in Florida similar to Rover, and I take this work very seriously—every pet in my care is treated like family. What sets me apart is that I’m a student groomer, a practical animal communicator, and a passionate animal advocate. I also have an upcoming grooming internship, and my long-term dream is to become a veterinarian to help stray animals and families who can’t afford care. I’ve worked in dog daycare and absolutely loved it. I currently live with three dogs (my babies!) and two beloved rats, my soul creatures. I have a soft spot for rescue animals and often foster until they find their forever homes. I'm also open to caring for other animals besides dogs—whether it’s cats, small animals, or even the unusual! (Just no T-Rexes, please 🦖😭) I’m honest about my availability, respectful of your home, and always focused on making sure both you and your pet feel safe and supported. Every animal deserves love, dignity, and a whole lot of belly rubs. I’m also trilingual! I speak English, Spanish, and ASL—so feel free to reach out in the language that works best for you. I believe care should be accessible, inclusive, and heart-centered 🐾💛 My dogs & rats eat breakfast every morning at 10am, enjoy small veggie snacks around noon, and have dinner at 4pm. Their health and routine matter to me, so I carry that same care and consistency over to the pets I care for. Pet care is not just part of my routine—it’s part of who I am. My furkids are my family—so if your dog is friendly and gets along with others, I’m happy to welcome them in. I’m easygoing, but I do ask for honesty about your dog’s behavior, health issues, and whether they’re potty trained. If your dog has an accident due to anxiety, illness, or youth, that’s absolutely okay—I understand and will help however I can. But if I’m not informed ahead of time and your dog isn’t potty trained, I do charge $100/night, as it affects my home and how my own dogs behave. I’ve fostered before, raised puppies and kittens, and even cared for momma animals—so I’m flexible. What matters most to me is clear, honest communication. If we work as a team, everyone (pets included!) will be happy.

About: I Have been a dog owner my entire adult life. Their unconditional love is one of the greatest joys in my life. Getting to know a dog, either through raising a puppy or adopting an adult is such an all in experience, because you have to learn without words. When we reach a new level together it feels great. I work in the entertainment industry, which is going thru a contraction at the moment, so when I am not working I am available all day. I have a fenced yard and 3 small dogs of my own. Two are over 10 years old. They have access to a doggy door which can be closed. I also can accommodate a crate if needed.

9. Sara G.
“Sara is an absolute gem—our go-to dog sitter and walker for our two boys (a lovable bulldog and a sweet basset hound)! From the moment we met her, we knew our pups were in the best hands. She’s incredibly communicative and sends us adorable photo updates the entire time she’s with them, which gives us so much peace of mind. What really sets Sara apart is how present she is with our dogs. She’s not just showing up—she’s truly engaging with them, making sure they’re happy, active, and not just sitting around bored. She’s especially patient with our basset, who struggles with separation anxiety, and she always goes the extra mile by sending extra photos of him just to help comfort us while we’re away. On top of all of this, Sara is super affordable (honestly, too affordable for the level of care she provides). Part of me hesitated writing this review because she’s our best-kept secret—but she deserves all the recognition. If you’re lucky enough to book her, your pups will be in the best hands possible!”

10. Trisha W.
“Trisha’s genuine love for animals is obvious the moment you see her interact with one. She’s the person who asks “can I pet your dog?” when she’s out and about. There’s not many people I trust to take care of my beloved George and Lily, I know I can always count on her. She makes sure they’re safe, and cared for, with lots of walks, water, and even homemade liver treats! My dog, Lily, is geriatric with hip displasia and Trisha goes above and beyond make sure she gets her meds and carries her/strolls her on walks so she doesn’t miss out of getting some fresh air. So if you’re looking for someone trustworthy, loving, and responsible, look no further than Trisha!”
