About: Since 2009, I have had dogs... I absolutely love them (and really all animals)! I cared for my two dogs until their passing at approximately 9 years of age since they were puppies. While in graduate school, I volunteered at the Oakland Animal Shelter for a few months taking care of pigeons, such as feeding them and cleaning their cages. So, if you have some unusual animals- I am open to taking care of them too! I also had a 2 week experience cat sitting for my cousin's senior cat by feeding/giving her water and general watching her. So, I have good experience with taking care of cats too although I have never had a cat personally. At the moment, I have my senior dog, Mr. Beau, an 11 year American Staff Terrier I adopted in 2023 at the shelter. While I was at the Oakland Animal Shelter, staff made it known that senior animals are the most often overlooked animals for adoption and that made me feel sad :( So once I was able to, I made it a mission to adopt a senior pup, and I am so happy and fulfilled with my decision. As with any senior (including humans), they come with special needs, such as different medications, loss of hearing, limited walking, increase in illnesses, etc. My dog has had many complications, but with my great patience with senior pups, I feel confident in taking care of their specific needs! I know what it is like to trust strangers with taking care of your pet- its scary! Mr. Beau has specific senior needs and is picking, so I hope my experience can make you feel more comfortable with choosing me to take care of your pet when you're away! Experience: senior dogs, puppies, cats, birds, or other types of pets. I am open-minded! I was laid off from my job at the end of June, so I while I am applying to full time work, I have time to take care of pets in the meantime to fill my weekly schedule! While I cannot provide pet sitting services at my own home because my dog is not friendly with other dogs (sad face), I am skilled in meeting with my where my clients are at. When I’m not working I’m taking care of my step son and my 5 dogs rather it be hiking, long sniff walks or fun games with the dogs. I also work on basic obedience every day. If you need I can work on sit, stay, wait, loose Leash walking. I will follow all your rules to keep your pets safe. I’m really knowledgeable about keeping animals safe. You won’t have to worry when in my care.

I work from home most of the time so I can spend time with the babies as much as needed. I'm active and walk daily so I can walk dogs as much as is needed. In my home, we have a gated yard and we have a double entry system similar to what you see in dog parks to protect dogs from bolting out the door. I have a lot of experience managing different personalities, medical needs, and schedules, so I know how important consistency is for a pet's peace of mind (and yours!). I have three strictly indoor cats of my own, so I’m used to managing a multi-pet household. I keep up with multiple litter boxes daily, make sure they always have fresh water and dry food, feed them wet food twice a day, and at minimum play with them an hour a day. I regularly look after an older dog who gets two hours of walks a day to keep him active. I make sure he’s fed at 8:00 PM on the dot, and because he loves his crate, I safely tuck him in there whenever I have to step out for a bit so he feels secure. I’m completely comfortable with specialized medical care. One of my regular clients has three cats, and one requires time-sensitive medications via an inhaler and oral syringe. I also have experience with modern pet tech, like automatic litter boxes, and I follow the owner's schedule for cleaning them out and refreshing the automatic water fountain.
