“Timothy has been one of the best dog sitters to lady ! There was no day I worry about how she was doing because he had everything under control . Followed instructions correctly and did it way better than I expected . I think lady would want to walk with him more better than me 🤣☺️ I can for sure see how Timothy is passionate for dogs / his work and loves walking as well. I would a 100% recommend him to anybody and I would for sure get him in the future!”

About: $20 OFF YOUR FIRST ROVER BOOKING CODE: LIZETS93024 Hello, my name is Lizet and I am a lifetime animal lover. I've had and cared for various pets throughout my life. Such as, dogs, cats, hamsters, birds, turtles and fish. Pet sitting has been a natural extension of my love for animals - something I’ve been doing for friends and family over several years. Pets are family and I treat every pet friend as if they were my own. Whether it’s long walks, playtime, feeding, or just snuggles and companionship, I’m here to make sure your pet feels loved, safe, and well-cared for. I work remote, so I have plenty of time and flexibility to look after your pet. I am also available through the app for calls or messages. I have a spacious home for your pet to explore and feel comfortable. It is pet friendly, your pet is allowed on the couch unless instructed otherwise. I also have one dog, her name is Lola and is very friendly with other dogs and people. ☺️ (the other dog on my profile, Chiquilin, is my moms dog and does not live with me) I will always respect your rules and preferences for your pet. I also limit the number of pets I sit at the same time to ensure I can provide and meet the needs of your pet. “Bryanna has been great with our dog Buster and takes lots of pictures and even videos during her visits. She is good at communicating and responds to messages quickly. She's dependable and shows up when she says she will and we are really happy to have found her. She brings her dog to play with Buster and it's been a great arrangement for Buster to have a friend and more socialization. She was willing to just come herself to take Buster on his walk if they didn't get along. We hope Bryanna continues to be available to visit Buster.”

“Vanessa is absolutely wonderful. My dog is always so excited to see her and loves their walks! She is very friendly and communicative, and also flexible, which I appreciate. I’m very grateful for her!”

About: You might notice I don’t have many reviews on Rover yet, and that’s simply because I’m new to the app, not new to pet care! I’ve been caring for cats and dogs for years through friends, family, and regular clients outside the platform. I bring a deep love for animals, hands-on experience and a calm, reliable energy that pets naturally respond to. I’m now using Rover to connect with more amazing pet parents and I’d love for you to be one of them! I am a former volunteer of the Prince George's Animal Shelter in Maryland, As a volunteer, I would walk and feed all of our dogs and cats too! Over the years I’ve learned how to communicate with dogs and read their body language to access needs.I’d like to think of myself as the dog whisperer :). I have toys, treats and love on hand at all times to ensure your best friend has a great experience! Also, as a former doggymom,I know the deep love we have for our children and I will do everything to ensure your fur baby is cared for and protected. I love to get up in the morning to run and take walks in the LA sun, perfect for your pet :) I am extensively active and have done extensive research on pet enrichment, figuring out what they need to be stimulated and happy is my number one priority.

“Audrey did great with my energetic and attention seeking 2 year old corgi/cattle dog mix. Love the photos and appreciate the communication! Thanks Audrey!”

About: I have had cats in the family since I was three. I had a newborn kitten in 8th grade I would wake up at 4a.m. before school to bottle feed. I have only had a dog for a day and was the one responsible until they found a new home. I volunteered at animal shelters through the years since high school, mostly in the cat room, but have taken a few dogs out from the kennel with a leash. I took an animal caretaker course in 12th grade during weekends at a Los Angeles animal shelter, where we were taught how to walk a dog, take them out of the kennels, different breeds and various animal species. The last time I signed up to volunteer at a few animal shelters was before 2020 and was the last time I took a training course. I went a few times to each before the shutdown. This was the only time I had a day of learning about taking care of rabbits. I have dogsat a friend’s German Shepard and chihuahua/weenie for a few days. They already knew me and German Shepard was a trained assisting dog, so they were mellow with me already. I have dogsat two pugs for a few days, that I had not met before, who ended up snoring next to me. I am currently a part time in home caretaker for my mom. I began being her caretaker around 2018. Since I am a part time in home caretaker, I can sometimes have a flexible schedule. I do have something’s I must do everyday, but have time around that where I can pass by and help someone else now. I have a cat at home I spend quality time with and also give him space because he likes to follow and be next to me, but not be smothered or on my lap. I clean the litter box right after he goes to the bathroom and wipe dingleberries. I have had a cat that I used to walk on the leash, but Rupert is not used to it, so I have not walked a cat since. He is comfortable sitting right on the entrance when the door is open and he only walks right by there on his own. He is not a runner, I have had a cat that was a runner and we had to keep the door closed. I change the water bowl a few times a day and brush the coat. I have not brushed pets teeth because he is not comfortable with it, I tried. With all friends pets that let me pet them, I also give massages , as well as scritches and scratches, cats and dogs. I have toys my cat didn’t use and then became his favorite, when he starts getting excited from pets and wants to scratch, I put a toy on him and he can let his energy out on that. With my boyfriend’s cat I learned to walk around cats that scratch legs when entering. He now comes to the door and greets me like a puppy, I can pet him and notice when he is about to go into hunter mode and move myself out of the way. With dogs I had to learn the barking at the door and finding a way to distract if they are too loud or it is too long. We also had to keep on their walking schedule that goes with our friends work schedule. The dogs I took care of had no backyard to run around too much, but they had toys and were given pets, cuddles and snacks.
About: Hi! I’ve grown up with dogs all my life, up to 5 dogs. I’ve never had an empty household. Dog hair is a part of my life lol. I’ll be make sure to give your pet plenty of scratchies & pets if they allow it! I love snuggles with pets and giving them my undivided attention :) I’m currently working part-time, I am an artist as well. I moved away from home without my pets, so I would love provide for pets! I have plenty of time to care for your pets. I currently am looking to move into an apartment, so at the moment I don’t have space to care for a pet overnight, but I can travel.
“Vanesa was wonderful—attentive, friendly, and clearly great with dogs. She even offered to apply sunscreen to Piper, which was incredibly thoughtful. Highly recommend!”

“Stephanie was amazing! Came through for me last minute when I was booked for a 12hr day. I appreciate it very much and my lil pup loves her! Would definitely recommend 💯💯”

“Alexis is a rockstar. In addition to her wonderful personality, she’s kind, accommodating, and absolutely fantastic with our (very large, sometimes difficult) dog. Kijo adores her, and I don’t know what we’d do without her. Five stars are too few.”

I needed a walker for two straight weeks and Vanesa did a wonderful job of ensuring my girl had a great time. She even ran with my energetic girl, which she LOVED! Updates were regular, I would definitely recommend Vanesa to my friends and family!! Thank you, Vanesa! 🐾💕

Nayeli is a great sitter. She is very communicative which is something that I seek in an sitter and keeps me posted on my 2 dogs. She has been walking my dogs so far but I wouldn’t hesitate to use her for overnight pet sits. She takes great care of my dogs and truly goes above and beyond. She makes sure they’re comfortable before she leaves and has stepped in on last minute bookings! She is wonderful and I would highly recommend her!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
