“In the most basic terms, Kyle is amazing. He was able to pick up the task of walking my dog once a day for two weeks, and was willing to be flexible with our schedule. He was patient and understanding with my elderly mother who forgot he was coming and left the house before he arrived. I cannot mention enough how great he is.”

“Thank you for coming on time, figuring out how to deal with my shy Mamba. You took him all the way to the park, awesome. And he seemed happy and affectionate when I got home.”

“Our dog loved Myha! Myha was super flexible and communicative the whole time she was watching our dog. She was awesome, we will definitely be using her again.”

“I'm so particular about who cares for my pets and enters my home while I'm not there, but I wholeheartedly trust Johanna! My girls love her and I know they're in good hands with her around. Absolutely my go-to walker / sitter!”

“Vanesa has been absolutely wonderful with our yellow lab! She’s kind, attentive to his needs, and always makes sure he gets the care and attention he deserves. She’s consistently on time, communicates clearly, and always lets us know how each walk went. It’s such a relief knowing our dog is in great hands - we couldn’t recommend her more highly!”

“My dogs were in love on first sight. People are usually skeptical with 2 pitbulls. But vincent happily took them as his own. He walked them for an hour and they came back exhausted. Definitely using him every week”

About: As a passionate and reliable pet sitter, I absolutely love caring for animals of all kinds, with a special soft spot for senior pets and playful kittens. I make sure to follow your care instructions and create a personalized routine to keep your furry friend happy and comfortable while you’re away. Having rescued many pets over the years, I understand how important your pet’s well-being is. That's why I started pet sitting — to help busy pet owners like you while providing the same love and care I give my very own pets. My fur babies and I enjoy daily walks, lots of playtime, and outings around Lake Balboa where Iv'e called home for over 20 years! Plus, I’ve taken courses in Dog CPR and First Aid to ensure your pet is in safe hands. Let’s set up a meet and greet soon — I can’t wait to get to know you and your beloved pet! I’m excited to be your pet sitter! Working from home allows me the flexibility to give your furry friends all the love and attention they deserve. I prioritize sticking to your pets' routines so they can relax, have fun, and feel completely at home with me. I can’t wait to meet your adorable fur babies! I want you to know that I'm fully committed to following your instructions during my stay. Ensuring the safety and health of your pets is my top priority. You can be confident that I will take exceptional care of both your pets and your home while you’re away.
“Emily was delightful. I will be booking her again! I scheduled her to walk my 5-year-old Aussie for 10 days after I had surgery, and I couldn't walk him myself. He can be a handful, especially if another dog barks at him, and he had never been walked by a "stranger". She handled him very well and he returned home happy and tired. Emily was never late, texted me a few minutes before arriving, and sent photos of them along the walk. She is great and I can highly recommend her. Thank you Emily!!”

“Thank goodness for Kendi! A weight is lifted off my shoulders knowing I have someone so reliable to care for my dog! She responds quickly and gets the jobs done no problem!”

“Christian has been amazing to work with! My dog is very shy and skittish but Christian has been extra patient to allow my dog to get comfortable with him. I also appreciate how communicative and reliable he is.”

“I know dogs can’t speak, but Brooke is so kind and loving with her. She spent the last 10 minutes of her time with Dottie on the floor loving her, when she so didn’t need to. Absolutely love Brooke.”

“Victoria helped me last minute to check in on my dog Chai. He seemed super happy to go on his walks. She’s came on time and sent photos and updates. Will definitely book again!!”

About: I’ve cared for many types of animals including: dogs, cats, turtles, birds, rats and fish. Obviously there are still many animals out there and I would love to learn about your unique pets. I’m dedicated to caring for your pet with mindfulness, love and attention to detail I currently work part time so I work nights for 6 hours 4 days out of the week. I’m available for morning till late afternoon care, I also have no problem checking in again after work. On my days off I’m available all day those days are sun, mon and Thursday I have a spacious studio with designated space for boarding and I don’t have anything for a pet to mess with or accidentally hurt themselves. I do not have a crate but can get one if needed
“Yvonne has been wonderful, and I highly recommend her! She came for a meet and greet beforehand, which I really appreciated, and it was clear she has experience working with dogs of different temperaments. My dog can be leash and dog reactive, so it was important to find someone I could trust. She’s always punctual, communicates well, and sends a detailed report with photos shortly after each walk. I truly appreciate the great care she gives my dog and the peace of mind she provides! We’re very lucky to have her as our dog walker!”

“Alexis is a rockstar. In addition to her wonderful personality, she’s kind, accommodating, and absolutely fantastic with our (very large, sometimes difficult) dog. Kijo adores her, and I don’t know what we’d do without her. Five stars are too few.”

About: I grew up around animals: cats, a dog, even two gerbils. I also pet-sat for my neighbor while I was in high school. I am lucky now to have a crazy lovebug orange kitty named Mr. Buttons. He sadly has no interest in being around dogs or other cats, so I have to look outside our home to satisfy my love for them. I am as trustworthy as they come, and I believe pet care should come above all else. I'm currently working part-time, so my schedule is very flexible and I'm amenable to any kind of arrangement for caring for your pets. I'm typically free on weekdays, but as I said, my schedule changes and there are always exceptions. My priority is to build trust both with the pet and owner. I follow all instructions laid out to the T and ensure the pet feels comfortable and safe in my presence. I also respect the pet owner's home by leaving it exactly as I found it. It's vitally important to me that your pet feels loved even when you are away, so I never skimp out on pets or cuddles when they are desired.

We absolutely love having Bailey as our dog walker! She’s incredibly reliable, patient, and truly cares about the dogs she works with. One of our pups can be a little more challenging, and she has always been so understanding and kind with him. One of my favorite parts is the detailed updates she sends after every walk. They’re thoughtful, funny, and always make me smile—it feels like I get to experience a little piece of their adventure together. I couldn’t recommend her more!

Francisco was great! He is reliable and he is great with dogs! He communicates well and sends pictures of our dogs who always look happy and exercised from their walks. We would definitely reach out to him again! I highly recommend Francisco for your pet caring and dog walking needs.

I worked with Cody as a dog walker. He handled my very large dog, who can be a bit reactive, with patience, confidence, and real skill. It’s clear he understands dogs and takes safety seriously. I feel much more at ease knowing my dog is in such capable hands. Highly recommend and will continue to use Cody in the future!

Lizzie is amazing! Her communication is truly top-tier. She’s super responsive, transparent, and thoughtful from start to finish. She’s punctual and clearly cares so much about the dogs she works with…a total dog whisperer 😊 Frankie cuddled up to her immediately and absolutely loves her walks with Lizzie. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a trustworthy, kind, and reliable dog walker!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
